If anyone read that long winded post about my recent Vitamix Purchase this is the picture that changed in my order status.
As soon as I seen that picture I was curious why it was out of the box and showed a plunger and is on some guys counter.
Sure enough that pictured Vitamix is what I received with the plunger that wasn't supposed to come with it.
If I'm not satisfied with the next Vitamix I will just have to get a refund and buy directly from Vitamix and wait a few weeks.

    Day 16
    8/11/2020
    Weight = 259

    Fasted 21 Hours
Got a little extra sleep this day.
    Did a bit of cooking.
Made a Butternut Squash Soup and transferred it to the Vitamix which works well.
I let it cool down to 120 F to be a bit more safe.
I also made a Chicken Chili with Sweet Potatoes with the last of the 2 Chickens I boiled a few days back.
1 Mile walk with the dogs.
Went out from 9pm till Midnight to watch the Meteor Shower.
Not the best that I have witnessed but we did see one huge fireball streaking across the sky.
Probably seen 20 to 30 total before we called it.
Most likely a bit too close to the City Lights which hindered the viewing.

    1 Bowl Chicken Chili (450)

    Day 17
    8/12/2020
    Weight = 259

    Fasted about 20 hours.
I didn't get to weigh in on this day.
I did just weigh myself at 2 am on 8/13/2020 and got a reading of 257.2 pounds.
Played a very long session in two separate Casinos and didn't have much time to focus on the schedule.
    I cheated a bit, sorta.
After being told at one Casino, that my players card has been revoked, I am now looking to Vacation up in Reno.
Amazon sent me another Vitamix before I returned this one.
I find it difficult not to just keep both but I am planning on returning one of them.
They give you a month to do this but I don't understand why they sent me a replacement before I gave the first one back.
It's an obvious test of my character to see if I've made any positive progress over the years.

    Day 17 Intake

    1 Roast Beef Sandwich (385)
1 Pay Day Candy Bar (240)
    2 Cans of V8 (120)
    1 Hard Boiled Egg (75)
    1 Cup Cottage Cheese (225)

    Daily Calories = 1045

Daily Sleep Average = 6.5 hours
Daily Intermittent Fasting Average = 18 hours

Your really hardcore, with that 1300 cal avg, hope you can sustain it. That's usually the average caloric intake, for women in the 120-130 lbs range. If your feeling okay and dropping the weight, that's what ultimately matters. Lol for that payday bar.

I'm kinda Gung Ho or Stubborn when I get my mind right.
I grew up with a lunatic, crazed Vietnam Vet Father who was a LRRP and actually enlisted in the Army instead of being Drafted.
I was pretty close to joining the Airborne Rangers at 19 years old myself but I didn't have enough commitment at that time in my life.
I was worried I might be too erratic and end up going AWOL or get in some other mess so I opted against it.
Let's not forget that I did do a 30 day Juice Only Fast and found that easy.
I could of gone another 30 days on that or more but I thought I had it all figured out once I dropped 40lbs.
Where I really messed up was not realizing you just have to eat a certain amount of calories per day and stop.
Get your proper vitamins and protein and you should be fine.
Most of my life I was a very thin to a somewhat thin Athlete so basically I still have that body type.
I used to constantly play basketball. racquetball, workout and lift weights.
I basically got very lazy 10 to 15 years or so ago.
That sort of thing happens to some of us Americans when we are living the easy life.
I just got a nice belly from Gravity and Eating whatever, whenever I wanted for 30+ years.
I have always had a naturally high metabolism but I noticed that has changed after 40 to 42 years of age.
I was busy playing a 15 to 16 hour VP session and sorta just cracked as I wanted some energy.
That is why the dry sandwich with Roast Beef and White Bread from the Gift Shop and Pay Day Bar.
Pay Day Bars are probably my favorite candy bar and I would figure they are the first energy bar before energy bars lol.
    That's also why the 2 V8s.
They had Naked Juice but even the 50% less sugar ones are ridiculously sweet.
That company has nice packaging and branding but I see no difference between that and soda lol.
Too High in sodium but at 60 calories a can I couldn't say no.
I don't find the intake of calories to be the problem.
My main problem is being on a set schedule as it is always tumbling for me.
My sleep pattern and eating schedule is constantly changing because I sleep when I want.
So sometimes I go to sleep at 9pm and other times I go to sleep at 9am.
I also don't worry about the fasting windows.
I break that when I want and just restart.
Sometimes I go over 18 or 20 hours and sometimes I only make it 10 to 12 hours.
I don't think that matters as much as restricting your caloric intake.
I haven't even started a somewhat serious exercise routine yet.
    I'm looking forward to that.
I could increase calories as I burn more off if I wanted.
Although, years ago I was on a kick where I was exercising twice a day and Juicing only with no food intake.
I'm pretty sure I have the discipline down though.
Watch your calories and get your daily nutrition.
Eat Healthy and stay away from the Junk.
Seems simple enough and I feel no cravings.
If I ever have an ice cream craving which I haven't had but if I do, I will just freeze some fruit and make cream-less Ice Cream with my Juicer or the Vitamix Machine.
It is amazing how just frozen bananas run through the juicer tastes just like Ice Cream to me.
Sorry for the long winded reply.
Just typing out my direct thoughts after reading your comment.
Right now my body is eating its own fat.
Things will get much more challenging once I get down to 235, 220 or 210.
I do need to drink more water as I haven't focused on putting 2 to 4 quarts in me per day.
Drinking more water is all around good IMO.

Woke up around 2am as my plane did a nose dive at 4pm finally.
Felt good to sleep like a brick for 10 hours.
    Actual Weigh In was 257.2
I've been eating around 2 tablespoons of flax seed in most of my Smoothies every day.
    I didn't list that anywhere I don't think.
I just add up all the calories and say smoothie.

    Day 20
    8/15/2020
    Weight = 256

Was in the Casinos till the early morning.
This pushed me to 25 hours of Fasting.
I broke it with a can of V8.
Didn't realize that had 40% of DV for Sodium.
Was going to have 2 cans till I noticed that.
I arrived at home around 9am and had a bite to eat.
Fell asleep but could only sleep 2 hours.
When I eat whatever I want I usually sleep 14 to 16 hours easy.
Whenever I Fast I have difficulty sleeping as I always feel wired.
So instead I ran around town trying to buy some used exercise equipment.
I ended up getting a used Nordictrack Bike for 200 dollars.
The model is older and discontinued but seemed good enough to burn some calories.
Other people can use it as well which makes it a good value to me.
I tried to get an Elliptical Machine but it wouldn't turn on so I declined.
Came home and made dinner and after that my airplane crashed for a solid 4 hours.
Woke up now and did the SSS and now reporting here.
Probably take a spin on the bike and use my new Heated Foot Bath Machine.
After that, stick them in the Foot Massage Machine and crush them for 15 minutes or so.

    Day 21
    8/16/2020
    Weight = 256

Played another long session and ran really good.
Ran really good all week, actually up a little over 52k.
I found a progressive that is a small win at 31k right now.
So I will be playing that till I hit it or someone else finds it and hits it.
I rode the bike for only 8 minutes for 2 miles.
According to the computer on it I burned 70 calories.
I find the seat on that bike to be very hard or uncomfortable.
Probably just not used to it but I may see if I can change the seat or cover it in the future.
For 220 dollars I am very happy with it though for what it does.

    Day 20 Intake

    Coffee Cream and Sugar (75)
2 Bowls of Rice and Beans (1100)
    3 Cups Yogurt (350)

    Day 22
    8/17/2020
    Weight = 254

Hit the Exercise Bike for 17 minutes.
That equaled 4 miles and 100 calories burned according to the bike computer.
After that I decided to go out and try to make some money.
A certain machine had beat me for 11 grand a few days earlier.
It was time for a rematch!
I was having fun shifting gears at 4000 rpms in my beater mustang.
Some great music came on that I was blasting.
First up was The Who with Behind Blue Eyes.
Special meaning to me as the song resonated with my Vietnam Veteran Father.
As I pulled into the Casino Garage they played Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Next I got the VIP parking spot right next to the door.
I call it the VIP parking spot, it isn't an official VIP parking spot.
I was thinking, I'm gonna crush them tonight... this shit is going too good and I am pumped up.
Of course you can lose 5 grand in about 30 minutes on this game so I wasn't too confident.
I walked around looking for better.
Eventually I just decided on the Rematch.
About 45 minutes in I was down 7 grand lol.
I told the machine you are kicking my ass, I guess you really are the champ!
Oh well, I guess you are going to have to felt me for 18,200 so you got a ways to go.
Things started breaking a bit better as I recovered.
Was down 2700, 3000, 6000 and it looked like I was going back to being down 7k.
That's when lightning struck again at around the same time as 11 days ago on spin poker.
    Flopped the joint for 100k!!
First time I ever did that and I never get emotional on jackpots but I did celebrate a bit on this one.
So it's been about 40,000 dealt hands in 11 days and 2 dealt Royals... what are the odds on that Mr Play??
It took them 2 hours to get 20 signatures to finally pay me in that Rinky Dink Casino.
I told them, I thought this was Las Vegas... what kind of Casino is this that takes 2 hours to pay me my money.
When I am up at the Wynn I seen them pay 400k jackpots and not blink an eye.
Anyways, like in the movie Let it Ride... I'm having a really good day, God likes me, he really, really likes me.
So I told Looney: I'm Hot... lets bet hockey.
Of course I bet like a little girl on Colorado to win by 2 goals and they won 7-1.
    I bet 440 to win 616.
Oh well, better than losing and the Sports Book owns me as this is the first ticket I have cashed in for a very long time.

    Day 22 Intake

    Fasted about 25 hours
    1 Cup Yogurt (120)
    30 Almonds (210)
1 Bowl Butternut Squash Soup (150)
    1 Cup Kidney Beans (225)
2 Glasses of 2008 Cheateau Palmer Margaux Medoc (400)

Daily Average of Calories = 1373

Terrific stuff Monet, I hope it keeps raining money on your sports bets and slot plays. Odds are 1 in about 561 (561.22 to two decimal places).

    I'm confused.
Sounds like when my friend says your odds are 50/50.
    I say 50/50???
Yeah, he says... you either make it or you don't.

561 to 1 to get 2 dealt royals out of 40,000 flops?
Do we need to add some more zeros to the 561 as you stated before to flop one royal is 649,740 to 1?
Maybe the odds are easier for the second flopped royal?
I know when I was playing for a promotion of hitting two royals in 24 hours it seems that the second royal happens 33% of the time.
The odds change for some reason for the second royal compared to the first.
I am running pretty good but I had a 2 year slump so in my mind this is the numbers just breaking even.
I have flopped a bunch of Royals in the last 23 years or so though.
My first was on a full pay Nickle Double Bonus 10 play machine at the Golden Nugget when they had good games and a great card.
I flopped one at the Stardust on a Full Pay 4700 Royal Joker triple machine as well and that was another nickle machine.
Flopped a bunch of Single Lines and one on a 99.3 Joker Game on a 5 Dollar Machine that paid 4700 coins.
Flopped a left to right sequential on a quarter progressive at Slots A Fun when they messed up the meters at the bar.
    That one was 1500 dollars.
The odds on being dealt a sequential royal is something like 76 Million to 1.
Never made a sequential on the games where I really wanted one though lol.
    Anyways... I'll stop gloating now.

Monet, maybe it is best to state this as a probability and as a cycle instead of as odds. The probability of getting dealt exactly two royal flushes in 40,000 deals is 0.001782 to five decimal places. This equates to one dealt royal in every 561.2211 (1/.001782) deals, LOL. So this is just an artifact of me choosing to express the probability to five decimal places. I.E., I guess I could have just written something like 10,000 dealt royals in every 5,612,211 deals. The odds will never change regarding picking up a dealt royal. Regardless of what has happened before, every 649,739 deals you can expect to pick up one dealt royal. Yes, someone may have picked up back to back dealt royals in all the history of space and time, so of course we can only state things as on average. So the odds of picking up the 2nd flopped royal are not easier. They are in fact the same (given the same number of hands dealt). That is, you will have a chance of 1 in 649,739 of picking up a dealt royal in one dealt hand. That will never change. The reason it feels like you are breaking even is because as you get dealt more and more hands over your lifetime, you will be closer and closer to the average of n/649,739 dealt royals, where n is the number of hands you were dealt up until that point in time. Let me know if you need better examples.
Sorry for sounding like Bill Yung.

Apologies Monet, what I mean is this equates to a situation where: for every 561 events where each event consists of dealing 40000 hands, on average you will see two dealt royal flushes for one of these 561 events of 40000 deals per event.
Another way to write this is, if you bet someone you could get two dealt royal flushes in 40000 deals, that person would have to give you odds of 561.22 to 1 in order for you to receive fair odds for the bet.

Let me know if this helps please.
    Best, tp.

First off tableplay don't you ever say or think you sound like Bill Yung, LMR and how many other Fucking names that guy/girl has.
Impossible, you could never and would never.
I figured the 5.6 Million to 1 number was closer to what I would think is correct.
Now I certainly understand that you are saying each dealt hand is independent of one another and the odds never change.
However, something happens the more hands that you play where the numbers start to break right or break even or get closer to the payback percentage you are playing.
Does that mean you could run at a return of 104% for 20 years while another guy runs at 96% return for the same 20 years?
Yes I get it that, that could happen in theory but something changes in real world practice as we get out of the classroom.
I remember a guy telling me that the chances of me running 7 cycles behind a royal will have a 35% chance of occurring in 10 years of play.
Perhaps it wasn't 10 years but it was something along those lines.
The same held true for me being 7 cycles ahead of the royal cycle.
I seen a guy break down poker odds.
He was showing how you could, in theory, run bad indefinitely while another guy plays the exact same strategy and is indefinitely ahead of the curve.
So one guy would be up 275k over a certain amount of time while the other guy would be down 275k.
    I get it.
That's extreme and polar opposites but it doesn't seem to occur in real world practice for me.
The numbers always seem to break right for me after 100 thousand coin in on Video Poker.
I don't track hands made against total number of hands played but I do track coin in and coin out or basically payback percentage.
If I am on something that I expect 101% return that is damn near what I see after 100,000 coin in and after a million coin in, it is damn near perfect to the number.
Progressive Reel Plays seem to run a bit more wild or inconsistent compared to Video Poker I will admit.
It seems the variance is completely off the charts when I am playing some Reel Play compared to Video Poker which has far, far less Variance.
We are talking something like 600 or more Variance compared to 28.

I'm sorry I am rambling on and on about this topic and I'm sure it is something we have heard over and over for years and years.
If we are playing 9/6 JoB and we know the 4 of a kind should occur 1 out of 423.27 hands we know that the odds on every single new hand are 423.27 to 1 for that to occur.
However, something changes the probability by playing more hands.
Yes I understand we are talking about two different things when we talk about odds and probability.
Like I said before about the Skyline Play from a few years back.
You hit the first Royal on quarters and they paid you whatever it was and usually I was on a progressive so it was over the flat 1000 dollars.
Now if you hit your second Royal within 24 hours they would pay you a 3000 dollar bonus.
I can't remember the exact numbers, and a bit too lazy to look it up but this should occur around 33% of the time.
This means that you could expect to hit 2 Royals in 24 hours 1 out of 3 times you were in your bases loaded situation.
I basically ran perfect to that number for 30 days of play.
I was unable to get the full 24 hours of play in each time I hit the Royal but I averaged about 18 hours of play per day and I play pretty fast and rarely take a break.
I ended up with 10 royals and 3 bonus Royals.
Now I hit my last Royal on Dollars and didn't hammer out the 24 hours to chase for the extra 5k.
Funny thing is that I went to another Casino to play a 50 cent progressive and hit it within 20 minutes of play and it was inside the 24 hour window.
But of course that didn't qualify but it was interesting that I actually hit two inside of 24 hours.
My point is once you hit that first Royal the odds change for you to make another Royal in about 24,000 hands of play for some reason.
Even though, like you say the odds really never change on each individual dealt hand.
Not sure I would want to pound it like that these days but at that time I was more determined.
I had also just come off a year or so playing Double Royals at the Plaza where I hammered it pretty hard daily.
So I had/have some tolerance for this kind of thing.
It's not glamours work and others will laugh at us as we waste our lives in front of a machine but it's what we do .
We can't all be successful worker bees.

Good talk though as I know you wanted to see more posting about anything Vegas and Gambling related.
Hope I have provided some entertainment for you and others as they scoff at us.
By the way I put 56 dollars on a 3 team parlay lol.
I had the Flyers money line, Knights money line and the Braves money line.
Damn chickens won't even do the Tomahawk Chop on live TV anymore.
Of course those damn Injuns screwed me... they should be forced to change their name and logo like the Redskins.
    No more Washington Redskins??
Fucking NFL has gone so damn soft in the last 20 years.

Don't worry though... I love it at the Casino, I'm going back.
Perfect place to be till your best friend runs around your back and screws you!

Does that mean you could run at a return of 104% for 20 years while another guy runs at 96% return for the same 20 years? No, it should converge to whatever the payback is assuming perfect discard strategy
Yes I get it that, that could happen in theory but something changes in real world practice as we get out of the classroom.

Perhaps it wasn't 10 years but it was something along those lines. Because the royal is a rare event (1/40000 as we know), 35% is certainly plausible - recall that the variance of the royal in particular is much higher than the variance of the whole game (since the whole game contains the common hands and not just the premium hands)
The same held true for me being 7 cycles ahead of the royal cycle.
I seen a guy break down poker odds.
He was showing how you could, in theory, run bad indefinitely while another guy plays the exact same strategy and is indefinitely ahead of the curve. As stated just above, you certainly run this way for the royals, but for the game as a whole, not likely (in terms of number of royals)
So one guy would be up 275k over a certain amount of time while the other guy would be down 275k.

Progressive Reel Plays seem to run a bit more wild or inconsistent compared to Video Poker I will admit.

We are talking something like 600 or more Variance compared to 28. Totally agree (triple 7s in slots is probably way more rare than 1 in 40000)

I can't remember the exact numbers, and a bit too lazy to look it up but this should occur around 33% of the time. Yes. I am showing the calculation of this below (the probability of getting one royal in 24000 for a game with 1/40000 chance of a royal). Please not that it does not matter how many royals you have gotten prior to this. It is always about 1/3 to get one royal in 24000 hands (if 1/40000 for a royal on one deal/draw)
This means that you could expect to hit 2 Royals in 24 hours 1 out of 3 times you were in your bases loaded situation. As shown in the calculation below, the basis don't have to be loaded - you just have to play 24000 hands to have this 1 out of 3 chance.
I basically ran perfect to that number for 30 days of play.

I ended up with 10 royals and 3 bonus Royals.
Hi Monet, I have put my comments of our VP discussion in red above. Below is the calculation for the Skyline play, which I did in Excel. If you want me to do and show the calculations for anything else, let me know please. We pretty much agree on most fronts (see above).

P.S. it really doesn't matter where we have our VP discussions - we could even continue it in the Monopoly Game Piece thread if you want.

    lol... Monopoly is the Devil.
Thanks for taking the time to crunch the numbers.
I'm pretty sure we are on the same page but you play a tighter game to the Nth degree with the math.
I can just look at things and ballpark them for the most part.
I'm just not as disciplined enough with my numbers as you are.
It appears that it just doesn't matter what happened in the past as the numbers always stay the same.
For some reason I thought odds or probability changed when you go long cycles without hitting certain hands.
Must be just a feeling that you get which has no basis in math or science.
I've had this discussion many times while playing at machines with other players lol.
Some of it has to do with other variables that most players are unaware of.
Promotions, Incorrect Paytables, Glitches, Points, Mail... etc etc.
The most important thing is to make the correct holds and play spots that are over 100% return.
Thanks again though and see you around.
Remember to stay safe, keep 6ft away from others and always wear your mask in public.
It shows that you care about others lol lol lol.
