    Day 10
    8/5/2020

Had a little hiccup as I interrupted the fasting a couple times late night/early morning.
Finished eating today around 6pm so will have to regroup and get back on track.
    Not really a problem.
I need to increase protein and calorie intake.
Just add the smoothie I drank and food I ate into Day 10.

For someone your size, I would try to consume, a minimum of around 1700-2000 calories a day. You don't want to lose weight to rapidly, it could impact your lean mass. Minimum of 100-120g protein for that daily caloric amount. Especially with moderate exercise level.

    Thanks for the insight.
    I can't argue with you.
It is probably best and more safe to lose up to 2 pounds per week.
    Picture of Dinner Below.
I was going to grill 2 whole chickens but got lazy.
Better to start that process in the early morning or late night as it is cooler outside.
I decided to boil them in a slow simmer instead which gives me plenty of Chicken Stock.

It's amazing how little food you actually need. Incredibly hard for someone with basically endless comp to understand. Tonight I had 3 separate main course Asian dishes, wonton soup, and a plate of vegetables. It's incredibly difficult to just sample and walk away. You wind up ordering it to feel like you're getting the value with the intention of sampling. Then next thing you know you're eating 2k calories. I have gained 15 pounds since the casinos reopened.
This thread may motivate me to get back on the program. Last year I went from 260 ATH down to 208. Then COVID struck and I went back up to 220. Being a glutton with the comp dollars has resulted in hitting 235....oooof

You are preaching to the choir my friend!
I'm sure you weren't exactly directing the comp information at me in this post.
I've been on the comp party for over 20 years.
I started in the days when they were basically slips of paper and you could get written up all over town.
If you had friends, in all the poker rooms, you would never go hungry, even if you didn't play.
    Fun times.

Not sure how you are comfortable going out to eat these days but believe that 95% of the people need to be masked up to stop the spread of the virus?
I'm not trying to get into a war with you about the topic.
Personally, I just don't want to eat out or get to go orders during this Gookdemic.
I don't even like having anyone handle a beverage order of mine .
So I just lose all my comp for the time being or I have to beg the hosts to convert it to Free Play for me.

I literally lived on comp for over ten years at one time.
I probably am a large cause of global warming as I have thrown thousands and thousands of non-biodegradable boxes into the landfills.
I'm not sure how long you have been in town but I used to live downtown in the late 90s and would go to every casino getting free to go food.
It was basically my grocery shopping.
Heck, even the smoke filled Western had VP Plays that I took advantage of.
A friend and myself would play black jack with the silver dollar slugs over there just to justify getting rib day food.
That little dive coffee shop had some old school blue plate specials that we loved.
Each day was a different day and we had no problem loading up our fridge with all those boxes.
Fried Chicken Day, Meatloaf Day, Rib Day... etc etc and that was probably the lowest of the low and we still robbed the shit out of them for the food.
Not too long ago I was living on a play at Ichabods eating whatever I wanted when I wanted and they have pretty darn good food over there.
Hmmm can't even remember exactly how long ago that was... its a bit blurry for me.
Oh right... just before the Plaza thing so... wow, guess over ten years now... Fucking Time is Flying!
The whole thing can get addictive.
My pal would get desert and I would get another slab of roast beef or brisket for my desert.
Constant 40 ounce Steaks at William Bs and all the other joints around town... geesh!
So I completely understand what you are talking about.

Anyways, Vegas is just about dead to me and I hardly recognize it or the new plays anymore.
Hope to get out soon but as I realized when I was 9 years old for some odd reason I was destined to live my life in this town.

Thanks for replying to this thread and following it.
I appreciate your feedback, knowledge on the subject and honesty.

I agree with both of you, in regards to having unlimited food comps. That makes it a lot more difficult, to stay the course. One of the advantages with OMAD, is you can eat like a glutton for that meal. Very difficult to eat north of 3000 cals in 1 sitting. The hard part, is limiting yourself to that 1-2 hour window. Like everything else, it becomes easier with time.

    Day 12
    8/7/2020
    Weight = 262

    15 Hour Fast
I do believe Carrot Juice Calories are different compared to Solid Food Calories.
When I was on a 30 day juice fast only, I consumed about 2000 Juice Calories a day and lost a little more than a pound a day.
Gonna do the next few days with lower food and higher juice intake as I hit the wall for a few days and even gained a pound back.

Concept 2 emailed me again telling me my rowing machine should be ready by the 1st or 2nd week of October.
I find it hard not to buy something from the competition but I am going to wait it out.
I may break down and get a cheaper version of an exercise bike from a different company.
I may just buy a real bike although Walmart was completely sold out so I would have to look online.

    Day 12 Intake

50 oz Fresh Masticated Carrot Juice Medley = (560)
    1 Bowl Vegetable Soup = (250)
1 Multi Grain Bread Sandwich with Chicken, Spinach, Tomatoes and Mustard = (375)
    20 Raw Almonds (140)
    1 Cup Red Grapes (100)

    Daily Calories = 1425

    Running Totals

    Weight Loss = 14lbs
Daily Average of Calories = 1220
Daily Sleep Average = 8 hours
Daily Intermittent Fasting Average = 17 hours

I haven't ate almonds in a long time, is that a misprint 7 calories per almond ?

According to my information, 1 raw almond = 7 calories.
23 Raw Almonds should be around 162 Calories as the experts consider 23 almonds to be a handful.
They also claim that 23 Almonds is equal to a quarter cup.
Technically, the Red Grapes are at 104 Calories per cup but I ate a little less than a cup, actually and I do usually round off my numbers up and down depending.

Very surprised how low calorie almonds are. They are so satisfying, due to there fat and protein content.

I like using almond milk for cereal and I drink the chocolate almond milk as an enjoyable beverage. Silk is a delicious and affordable brand.

I'm not super comfortable about eating out during all this bullshit. I am selective though at where I will eat out. I want to see some care being taken.

The main reason I'm in favor of the masks is because it seems to have been effective in countries with high usage. It definitely cuts down on people drooling, coughing, and snotting all over the place.

I'm eating out again because YOLO.

    Day 13
    8/8/2020
    Weight = 262

Skipped the walk as I have been in the Casinos walking plenty.
Another day where I failed at IF.
It seems when I recline in front of my TV and watch Cannon on MeTV I give into the Refridgerator.
That thing is powerful and Evil.
I ended up having a meal in the middle of when I was supposed to be fasting.
The nice thing about that is you can limit calories and restart your fasting window once again.
My window is always rolling anyways as my patterns are very erratic.
Still at the wall for the last 3 days at 262 but I expect this.

    Day 13 Intake

    1 Bowl Beef Vegetable Soup = 300
    Chickpea Salad = 350
    30 oz Carrot Juice = 350
    1 Cup Red Grapes = 100
    2 hard boiled eggs = 150
Royal Blend Rice with Chicken and Garbanzo Beans = 600

    Daily Calories = 1800

    Running Totals

    Weight Loss = 14lbs
Daily Average of Calories = 1265
Daily Sleep Average = 7.5 hours
Daily Intermittent Fasting Average = 16.5 hours

Well, looks like a long, long, slog to nowhere here. Nothing to learn, or impart, so, I'm checking out.

You know, over about thirty years of doing this sort and degree of diet, I've run into a lot of perspectives, dimensions, about it, and, very interesting discussions with others (in the know), and my own thoughts. I wonder that old Ozzy Dozzy, and all around good guy Monet, even have the time remaining to really and actually work out, and, enjoy such a diet. Not a hell of a lot to do with calorie counting.

Lol. AP athletes, and farmers. What the hell next.

    555 = 111 + 4*111 = 15*37, or 37*15, as 153, and 7, or, 371, and 5. As 153 on 371, to 5/7 left, as 6 +/- 1.

    3/21 to 8/22 is 153 + 1 days. 321 = 107*3 + 0; 123 = 3*71 + 0. To 1/0. 822 = (-1 + 7)(37 + 100); 228 = 57[6 - (1 + 1)], ---> 11411. 15[3^2] = 153 + (5 + 1). 154 days is ~ 42.08% of year 2020. 451 = 11*41^1.

It's supposed to be a long, hard slog.
I'm turning it into a lifestyle change and going to stick with it far after 90 days.
I weighed in at 260 on Day 15.
I've lost 16 pounds in 15 days which is more than a pound a day.
I just bought a 550 Dollar Vitamix Blender, finally, as I opted against it two years ago.
    It arrives sometime this afternoon.
I'm looking at 2000 dollar racing bikes.
I'm on the list to buy a 1000 dollar rowing machine.
    etc etc.

Technically, I am losing weight far too fast as the safe approach is up to 2lbs a week.
For now, I am mainly doing this through calorie counting.
If you are checking out I can honestly say you won't be missed in this thread.

This thread is basically my personal diary.
It's not supposed to be some sort of learning manual or enlightening, educational thread for you.
I hardly read what you post anyway but I caught your first sentence of your post and decided to respond.
Do not expect many more direct responses from me in the near or distant future to your posts.

Comparing this to my Juice Fasting for 30 days...
On Day 15 from Juice Fasting only I weighed in at 256 which is a 20lb loss.
That is only a 4lb loss differential compared to calorie restriction.
I was a bit more active at that time compared to this moment.
The problem was I retorted back to the Steak House after the 30 days instead of changing my eating habits.
I found Vegan Cooking to be a bit too difficult.
The difference here is I just need to stick to the numbers for the most part on a daily basis.
I actually like this method better and I can mix in some Juice Fasting as well.
As MaxPen suggested... You only need to count and restrict caloric intake to lose weight.

When someone has a significant amount of weight to lose(50 pounds or more) losing it very rapidly, at the first stage(10-15 pounds) is not the same, in regards to losing lean mass, metabolic slow down and loose skin, as the later stages, where you ultimately get closer to your goals, on a percentage of fat to total weight ratio. The more fat someone has to lose, the more aggressive they initially can do things. The plateaus that occur, after the initial first 10-15 pounds, are also inevitable for the majority in the battle of the bulge. The old saying, marathon not a sprint, holds very true, for this difficult but completely doable journey.

I don't think I'd go the full racing bike route in the Vegas environment. Plus you'll wind up dealing with alot of flat tires. I went with a Specialized Diverge and like it alot.

    I agree.
I'm actually looking to lose from 50 to 76 pounds now.
Something clicked with me and I find it pretty easy to just count your calories and don't go over a specific number.
Seems straightforward and I am looking to do it daily for years instead of just some 3 month FAD.

    Good Information and Thanks!
Beautiful Bike you have and the Sticker Price is a bit of a shocker.
I was looking at 700 to 2000 dollar bikes and my wife was upset.
She thinks Bikes cost 80 dollars.
I told her yeah you might be able to get some kids bike at Walmart for 125 dollars lol.
I explained to her that the 700 dollar bikes are basically entry level.
I was looking at some Giant brand Mountain Bikes for 500 dollars and I probably could live with that.
Seemed pretty solid for what I want to do which is basically ride to the local school or mall parking lot and just do laps in the early morning.
I could also ride the hills out towards lake mead as that is somewhat close to me and seems like a good workout going up.
I also wonder if buying a 1000 dollar exercise bike from Concept 2 would be more useful and my family could ride it as well.
Might be better value for me.

On another note I decided to buy my Vitamix from Amazon because I got it delivered in 2 days instead of going direct with the company and waiting 2 to 3 weeks.
After I paid with my CC the profile picture changed in the advertisement in my order.
It shows a picture of the white 7500 model on someones kitchen counter and sideways.
So I was suspicious already and that picture showed a plunger with the unit but the ad specifically says no plunger included.
So I got the correct Vitamix outside cardboard box but when I opened it, the unit was packaged directly in this box already opened.
No official box that you see in the stores so that was the second red flag.
It had a plunger and wasn't supposed to and the on the back where the sticker is placed with brand name and address it was off center as if someone replaced it.
I took everything out and everything was shiny and brand new looking.
Motor worked fine and I made a 64 ounce smoothie.
No problems and I got that first use smell that you get from the new motor breaking in.
So I checked out youtube and people who bought refurbished Vitamixes from Amazon.
Well that packaging looked exactly like the one I received so that was red flag number 4 for me.
Actually I don't mind if it was refurbished but refurbished units go for 200 dollars less.
If Amazon would give me a refund of 200 dollars I would just keep it but they wouldn't.
They wanted to send me another unit with the proper packaging and have me send this one back.
I agreed but I might forget to put the plunger in the return box lol.
I don't even understand why they would send me another Vitamix before they get this one back but that is how they operate which is kinda cool if they weren't the Evil Empire taking over the World.
Expensive Blender but it certainly works better and makes smoothies taste a bit better compared to my 25 dollar glass blender.
I lost a little over 6000 today so whatever.
I got 3 bottles of Chateau Palmer Margaux Medoc Bordeaux so that's sorta worth about 1500 cash.
This Vintage was from 2009 and seems much weaker compared to the 1998 bottles I had previously.
Maybe if I store one of these bottles for 10 years it will taste better?

Anyways... back to the purpose of this thread after that long TLDR post above.

    Day 14
    8/9/2020
    Weight = 261

Played the Sunday 100k Tournament on WSOP again.
Went deep into the tournament and placed for the 2nd week trying.
I made a misstep on the button with KJ Off and got punished against AJ Off.
Served me right for making a move that I could of easily passed on.

One thing I notice is that when you don't put much food in your system you just can't sleep enough.
I find myself waking up after 3 to 5 hours of sleep and always wired.
Sometimes if I eat a larger meal I will crash hard though for 1 to 2 hours.

    Day 14 Intake

    Big Salad (500)
    Smoothie (300)
    1 Apple (95)
    15 oz Carrot Juice (170)
1 Cup of Cottage Cheese (200)
    2 Cans of Sardines (280)

    Daily Calories = 1545

    Running Totals

    Weight Loss = 15lbs
Daily Average of Calories = 1285
Daily Sleep Average = 7.0 hours
Daily Intermittent Fasting Average = 16.5 hours

I got mine from Las Vegas Cyclery about 3 years ago for $3200. These bikes seem to get more expensive every year. There's so many out there in the 10-15k range that 3k or so starts looking cheap. ..lol
To add the insult to injury you wind up spending more for pedals. A good bicycle keeps a fairly decent resale value if you lose interest.
