Thread: WSOP Online Poker

Recently with the constant Reload Bonuses and Ching Chang Chong Shiver Pandemic I have been playing more online Poker in Las Vegas Nevada.
As far as I know this is the only option for me living in Nevada but perhaps smarter members here can elaborate how to play at other sites?
I had a bit of a rough go of things as I was watching some goofy hands crush me in PLO games.
Hands where I would have 55% or more going all in pre-flop.
Not exactly unusual but watching them string together was annoying.
I found myself down 2600 dollars in the first few weeks.
Recently I had an upswing and am currently up over 3k in cash.

Some Tournaments have great overlay value getting over 200 to 1 on your dough for first place.
However, I find that most of them don't have enough value for me to fire at.
Things would be different if I had 5 or more friends on the smart phone conference call with me.
I suspect many players are already on that system.
I do find that the player pool base seems very small.
I find myself playing against the same Fish or Solid players day in and day out in the cash games.
The few cash games that they have.
IMO the 50 dollar buy in at the 25c/50c blinds are the best value and seems the only Hold'em games you can play 9 handed.
The problem, for me, is that it can become worse than a grind trying to play 4 or more windows of that game.
Of course, you all know the rage for some time has been 6 handed NL.
I remember when I first came to this town in the late 80s and early 90s all the rage was Limit Holdem and even Stud Games were going strong.
After Moneymaker that all went out the window as we know.
If you want to play limit or higher limit ring games on this site you will have to play Omaha 8 or Better.
You can consistently get a 3/6, 5/10, 10/20 and even a 15/30 game that goes regularly, with some really, horrible players.
At times you can get a good 10/20 Stud Hi Lo game going but you have to realize the game will break within about 2 hours or so.

One of the major issues I am having is sometimes the tables are bugged and you can't sit down.
Sometimes this will cause you to have to get rolled on the list.
Even deleting the program and reinstalling won't fix the bug/issue, I have found.
I noticed if you keep clicking on the sit down button it sometimes will fix the issue and you can buy in.
The software is certainly archaic and you don't have many games to choose from.
This can be good and bad but I like it because you get to know the players as you are playing against them daily.
I've also had some connection issues with tournaments where you can't connect but having a mobile backup will fix that problem.
You could also run two separate internet connections if you have that option.

Payment going in is easy and IMO the best way is at the Cage where you can be sure they will apply your reload bonus.
Reload Bonuses are weekly, this month of August, so its something to take advantage of.
As I say the biggest problem would be running into team play.
You wouldn't even need a team to whipsaw players.
They just need to know what cards are out.
As much cheating has been caught in Online Poker it is amazing they are still allowed to operate.
I read a few years ago they caught a guy with over 50 accounts that he would play under.
I, myself have done some cheating back when Online Poker first started.
One of my favorites was being able to cheat Netteller out of thousands of dollars and they couldn't do anything about it.
    Fun times.

VP in Vegas is dead or just about dead.
All the progressives are usually at the bars and all those machines are shut off for now.
Nobody seems to be pushing up the Reel Progressives.
I'm not sure how you vultures are finding plays?
I can't even factor in the comp system anymore as I basically refuse to go out to dinner or get take out.
I certainly don't believe in masks and am not worrying about catching the virus but I can't bring myself to go out to dinner or eat from people handling my food.
The only things I have done is get a couple hot waters and bags of tea from Starbucks inside the Casino a couple of times.
I won't even order from the cocktail girls as I bring my own.
Ok... I usually brought my own for decades anyways
My point is how can you all be for masking up but have no problem eating out unmasked or getting to go food where 6 people touched your food?
My brother in law works for a Casino in the F&B department and they get tested everyday.
He tested positive two days in a row and is now quarantined in his house and he was cooking your food daily!
His family is all negative and he says all he has had was a slight headache so maybe the test isn't accurate enough and he is showing a false positive?
Anyways my point is I would rather cook my own food so 300 dollar Steak House Comps and All You Can Eat Buffets are gone for me.
Time to buy a Farm but have to convince the wife and it is a nightmare uprooting at this time in history.

Maybe you should contact AxelWolf? I'm sure he'll have all the AP answers already cornered under the present conditions.

I drove around down there for a few months, back in the winter of 97/98. I recall a few interesting stories, and, likely would a few more, if I started thinking and talking about, again. Met some interesting persons, shared a place with at least one person who achieved a moderate degree of fame. Experiences from one extreme to the other.

Upshot? Vegas is another shit hole. Funny how people always say that it's no longer the same as it once was. Twenty years later, well, ha, supposedly, it's no longer the same it once was. Vegas must be unique in this respect, as soon as people get older, and, then, lose interest. Then it's always the town, but never the people who spent their youth bumming around there.

Oh, I checked the free word counter, at https://www.countofwords.com/.

    990 = 9(110) words ---> 911. Looks like I summed it up nicely in 133 = 19*7 words. Gravity is a bitch.

Monet, here's the crazy thing - back in 2003 (SARS), the government was going after companies/people that were selling masks because companies/people claiming that the masks protected against SARS was fraudulent in the eyes of the government (https://www.smh.com.au/national/farc...27-gdgnyo.html). Now the government is mandating the wearing of masks. Seriously, you just can't make this shit up. LOL.

    Understanding Respiratory Protection Against SARS

SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) is a new respiratory illness that has been reported in Asia, North America, and Europe. SARS appears to spread primarily by close person-to-person contact with symptomatic individuals (e.g., persons with fever or respiratory symptoms). SARS can be spread by touching the skin of other people or objects contaminated with infectious droplets and then touching the eyes, nose, or mouth. Contamination occurs when someone with SARS coughs or sneezes droplets onto themselves, other people, or nearby surfaces. It also is possible that SARS can be spread further through the air by very small particles. This method is called airborne transmission, but investigations to date suggest that this type of transmission is unusual. It also is possible that SARS may be spread by other ways that are currently not known.

Respirators that filter out at least 95% of airborne particles during “worse case” testing using a “most-penetrating” sized particle are given a 95 rating. Those that filter out at least 99% receive a “99” rating. And those that filter at least 99.97% (essentially 100%) receive a “100” rating.

Respirators in this family are rated as N, R, or P for protection against oils. This rating is important in industry because some industrial oils can degrade the filter performance so it doesn’t filter properly.* Respirators are rated “N,” if they are Not resistant to oil, “R” if somewhat Resistant to oil, and “P” if strongly resistant (oil Proof). Thus, there are nine types of disposable particulate respirators:

    N-95, N-99, and N-100;
    R-95, R-99, and R-100;
    P-95, P-99, and P-100.

Both CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend respirator use for the following workers only:

health care workers entering the room of a patient with SARS
medical transport workers transporting patients with suspected SARS
Respirators are not routinely needed (by staff or visitors) in other parts of hospitals or other health care facilities where there is no direct contact with patients.

Outside the health care and medical transport settings, CDC does not recommend the routine use of respirators. Most people who develop SARS become infected through contact with other people who are ill with SARS, not by breathing contaminated air. If a person does contact the SARS virus, it is most likely to be on a surface such as a door knob. The best protection from SARS in public places, (including workplaces other than health care and medical transport settings) is to wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your eyes or nose.

    https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/topi.../respsars.html
Furthermore, I don't think that SARS involved a lot of asymptomatic spread (outside hospitals).

Monet, this is where the cheating is going on in online poker:

So viruses get into us via receptors. Not all cells are equal and have the same receptors. So while you might catch it by inhaling it, it might be near impossible to catch it via contaminated food. It is all some really high level science which I don't claim to understand or know anything about. It is wrong to assume that inhaling is the same as eating viruses.

I'm all for masks because lol science and such. I believe in science. No political controlling bullshit. The science is clear as day, masks help dampen transmission to a high degree. If you don't want the stuff to blow up all over the place making the medical care system completely dysfunctional, then you wear a mask. I also won't really go eat anywhere unless we're like spread out outside or a small group of people. I tend to be picky about who I spend my time around. Seems like vaccine is somewhat around the corner. I've went this long.

I'm a bit jealous of those who have caught this. I got an offer at Bellagio for $80 weekend nights and 54 weekday nights. Get resort fee comped and damn that'd be great. Live in the Bellagio a couple weeks or however long they'd let me book the deal. I'm not even a gambler from their perspective - those guys are desperate.
