Yea, because tweakers like to tweak right when they're laying their head down on the pillow. Then when they're all tweaked out, they're too sleepy to even remove the pipe from their mouth. Fuck some of you people are stupid.

Clearly, you are the stupid fuck...don’t recognize a little sarcasm. Enjoy the basement, the $7 wine and maybe Monsignor O’Johnson will give it to you in the ass like the old days...enjoy you sad little shit.

Pretty sure your first half wasn't sarcasm. You want to believe it is true. You tried to discredit disbelievers by throwing in the sarcastic line about 'photoshopped by russian fairies'. Pretty clear what you meant.

My involvement with the election and posting ends tonight after the two town hall meetings. If everyone still feels the same after watching (I switched back and forth), then God bless.

I spent over an hour trying to determine base numbers. Remember, the employer gives equal amount to SS as the employee. If some one does not want to give into SS (which is technically not an option) and they want their money, then the equal contribution from the employer should/could not be added.

Long story made short; my base SS number is worth 4 years of SS benefits at 66 1/2 years. If I took every dollar I earned for 35 years and put it in a 4% savings, at age 66 1/2 I would have slightly above 8 years of the SS payout. The numbers would double (8 years without interest and 16/17 years with interest) if you want to claim the employer's contribution. With age expectancy at 84 or so, that would be a wash.

So, if the SS program lives, it is beneficial. If it dies, I will hunted down like a dog.
I was being serious. On top of whatever I contributed my employer contributed an equal amount on my behalf. i.e. they paid the government and not me for my labor.
Pro, you are 100 percent correct. The bad news is that 6.2% from your gross to SS and the same amount form your employer does likewise. This is non negotiable. I just wanted to give insight (and learn for myself) if the scales were weighed against us. After dong my minimal math calculations, if correct, the SS is not a bad program. I do not work for the government. Hey, the numbers state that I dare you to live to 84 years old. Let's do it.

I suspect you are not discounting the future value of the income by the inflation rate or conversely inflating the contributions to future dollars. Setting the bet on mortality aside, I came up with about a 1% return on investment on the total contribution.

There is a problem with private investment instead of making SS payments. Only a third of Amricans have private retirement accounts. So most people only have SS to rely on in old age. If workers were given the option of making their own investments how many of them wouldn't invest a dime and instead spend all the money. When they reach old age they would have nothing and so would become a ward of the state that taxpayers will have to fund.

Whether or not any other retirement system is instituted it must be mandatory to make payments toward retirement or else....

I went back and forth between NBC and ABC. I watched Savannah Guthrie grill Trump unmercilessly. About 50 questions were asked and 40 of them were by her. That's not how a town hall is supposed to work. The audience is supposed to ask the questions not the moderator. Guthrie actually turned into a debater and debated the president. Not her job. AND SHE INTERRUPTED THE PRESIDENT ABOUT 40 TIMES. The audience got only about 10 questions. Bullshit.

But Trump was super tough. He's used to their phony bullshit. Trump is always high profile answering questions. It goes on everyday. He answers questions at rally's. He has press conferences. He answers questions going to and from the helicopter almost everyday. He does interviews on TV. He's the most transparent president I've ever seen. No president has ever come close to what he does. And he was on the ball against democrat operative Guthrie.

Then I would flip over to ABC to the Joe Biden session with his THERAPIST, George Stephanopoulas. Joe was slow and stumbling and at times incomprehensible, but George sat there stoicly quiet while Joe attempted to answer the soft ball questions by democrat supporters in the audience. He never once interrupted Joe. And the scripted questions were soft enough that Joe didn't totally shit his pants.

But Joe was never asked about Ukraine and Burisma. It's a no brainer that corrupt Burisma execs needed a way to get Victor Shorokin, the top Ukraine prosecutor off their asses. Shorokin is on record saying he intended to file charges against them. Burisma hired totally unqualified Hunter Biden for an astronomical amount of money in order to get his father, Joe Biden, to influence Shorokin's investigation.

Within the year Joe made his famous quid pro quo with Ukraine. Get rid of the prosecutor or you get no money. Joe wanted the prosecutor that was investigating the company his son worked for fired and bragged about getting his wish.

Democrats tried to impeach Trump for telling Ukraine he wanted certain actions taken, which was not true. But here Joe Biden is on film admitting to the quid pro quo and corrupt democrats don't give a rats ass. There is no telling what all Burisma has on Hunter and Joe in order to keep them in line. They are clearly Burisma assets. If Joe wins he should be impeached.

Yep agreed. I said I wouldn't discuss politics with Mr. Crimm but since we're in agreement. I don't particularly like the idea of SS, but if you don't have it then people will wind up old and completely broke. So either you let them be basically homeless and 80 or you give them some sort of government assistance.

The way SS's taxes pay for the current people, it really isn't any different from another tax but it has been framed as not being socialism because everyone pays into it. I feel that is disingenuous though, but still believe something like SS is needed.

I basically operate under the assumption that SS will not be available when I am older, but it is clear there are many people who either won't save up or would spend it all before they die. It is a weird thing running through downside of life off a fixed amount of money with nothing to fall back on. A bit hard to budget to say the least. I'd still rather pay the SS tax and not see elderly people begging for money everywhere I turn.

Not too mention one of Biden’s questioners was a former Obama administration speechwriter. This guy basically used to work for Obama and Joe.

I don't so much have a problem with mandatory retirement as I do with the abysmal return the government manages to achieve. With a 12% contribution rate, every retiree should be a millionaire.

I was just watching some of DJT's recent videos. I think he either never had Covid or Covid is nowhere near as serious as it's made out to be. I guess the other option is that the overweight old orange guy is the luckiest SOB east of the mississippi... No idea which is true.

When he did his political theater and walks up the stairs and stands there, you can tell he is winded/having issues breathing. He'd never done that intentionally or perhaps it was the walking up the stairs that winded him. He also had a whole team of doctors but yea he's doing well. Who knows

Everything danny said about the two Town Halls was precise. If there was ever anyone who should be in jail it's the Clintons and the Bidens. But for some reason it'll never happen. Evidence means nothing in the world of corrupt politicians, and there has got to be huge payoffs ongoing when things are so abundantly clear.

Yet a more pressing problem may well be the sheer stupidity of the American people. What type of person votes for such corrupt, incompetent, self-service people to be our leading politicians? Well in this country there are plenty of them. I have a close friend who fits that label. He hates Trump, but when we talked about the dirty dealings of Hillary where there's not even a question of damning evidence with her, his response has always been "Republicans love Big Oil and are corrupt too". And just last night while discussing Joe and his squealy/drug addicted/child support-dodging/dishonorably discharged loser of a corrupt and stupid son Hunter, the response thus far has been "it's all fabricated lies in order to smear".

The laptop last night was proven to be Hunter's. The more this gets teeth the more the media scrambles to cover it up. Look what Twitter and Facebook have already tried to do. If Biden wins, this will dog him and his greedy family until the day they all eat dirt. He has to lose to have any chance of a normal life. But the ignorance of probably more than half the population will be his family's lasting curse.

Well, he is an actor even if he usually plays himself. Could we see him from the waist down when he was winded? There might have been a team down there. Kinda like that scene in police academy when the hooker hid in the podium and the commandant had trouble giving a speech...

I agree with this but the time I am specifically referring to is his return from the hospital. He walks up some steps then stands and really puffs his chest out. You can tell he is having troubles breathing but he also just walked up a rather large flight of steps. I don't think he's leveling that deep. His acting is in showing his strength and trying to hide his breathing issues.

Regardless, he does seem to have bounced back quite well. I questioned if he even had the virus for awhile but unlikely the MDs would get behind that lie and such. Who knows what kind of drugs he takes though. Regardless he has bounced back quite well.

Of course all this bs about Biden is false- yeah, you tricked me into another post. Yes he WAS interrupted by the moderator several times and challenged-notably on the green new deal and court packing. No, he didn't have a fan to tell him he had a cute smile or a staged "nodder" in the background to show agreement ANY time he spoke. And of course Trump falling for news on Hunter from Babylon news-a knockoff of the Enquirer and Saturday Night Live- was hilarious! He actually believed it was a real news site! And of course they're now finding out Guilliano got his story via the Russians-imagine that! You guys are really desperate!
