Thread: song reco

Sometimes this song gets stuck in my head...
(Yes I still watch this show currently on Starz Western)

Fun Fact: James Bond/Simon Templar (Roger Moore) was Maverick's cousin.

    Riverboat, ring your bell,
    Fare thee well, Annabel.
Luck is the lady that he loves the best.
    Natchez to New Orleans
    Livin on JACKS and QUEENS
Maverick is a legend of the west...

BoSox, no apologies are required. The intent of the thread is exactly met with your posts and they are most welcome and enjoyed. I doubt Monet or Danny feel any differently.

Thanks Tableplay, I will fast forward a decade and see how it goes with these two old hits:

Well A Girl Like You has a nice Motown vibe.
Spooky, well that's a timeless classic of course.
Here is the Mike Sharpe version of Spooky (Sax):
And here is Mike Sharpe going ape on the Sax with Break Through (flip side of Spooky record):

    Thank you Bosox.

Tableplay, I love a good Sax anty time especially a solo. I also like a sax solo mixed in with vocals. That's why I like the Classics 1V.

Terrific Bosox, thanks. So you love a good sax solo huh ? well then get your mind blown:

Sorry tableplay, I do not consider that song a solo. I think all the background music did not help Laws performance. He would have been better at playing alone.

The following song also has music but does not interfere with the sax sound.

I take that back my song would also be much better without the background music.

Now two French versions: Windmills of your mind, the first is half French.

This 2nd one is more for the background pictures.

I'll take the latter Monet (Blues Brothers). Bosox, Michael LeGrand put together the awesome jazz instrumental Jealousy in Never Say Never again during this scene and I will always remember his name because of it:

This does not make me a snob.
I know every word to every song on these two albums. (Tails & Firecracker)
Some refer to her music as Lesbian Folk Music although I disagree.
Just because Lesbians like her music doesn't make her music Lesbian Folk.
I'm pretty sure Lesbian Folk doesn't exist as I think you would just say Folk.
Her music is mostly dark which I like and yes I have a fetish for women in glasses.
I couldn't get the video of the playlists to embed so I provided the playlist above two individual songs.
