He somehow got away with it, but of course all of that eventually caught up with him and he got jailed as you mentioned. If Adele pays Al to create a parody of one of her songs, I might actually listen to the original. Thanks for the Drive-Thru link, I'll listen to it.
Listen to it or not... no big deal.
I'm on a kick and it will be some time till I'm off of it.
Sort of like this Rocking Song, Albuquerque, that is one of his original songs that he wrote, that isn't a parody.
The story goes, that he wrote it to mess with people as he wanted to make a 10 to 12 minute song just to Fuck with Everyone.
His strategy backfired as many people think it is his best work.
Supposedly when he does or did it live he extends the song up to 20 minutes lol.
It is a little bit dark and gory so you might like it and the music kind of rocks, in my opinion.

Thanks Monet. I listened to the drive-thru song. The animation seems like it was done by the same people that did Family Guy. I didn't realize Al did original songs until I listened to the Hardware song. That's great that Albuquerque is his best work - I look forward to hearing it. The other thing is I didn't know he made such a large number of songs.

Cool Monet - it looks like Al went for the Ren and Stimpy angle on that one for the visuals.

    14 albums and 46 singles.
That's over 150 songs in total.
    Over half are not parodies.
The one I posted below is a "Style Parody" in the spirit of the huge hit, We are the World.
    It's pretty darn good.
I don't even want to spoil any of it for you but I find it funny how he is being serious and making fun of himself and his industry at the same time.
Another video that doesn't work on this site.

    Don't Download This Song (2006)

    This one is Fucking maddening.
You have Weezer copying Toto and their song Africa.
I can't even tell the difference between the Weezer Cover and the Original.
And for the Music Video they got Weird Al to dress up like Weezer's front man while lip syncing and dancing around lol.
I never heard anyone sing a cover song so identical to the music and vocals.
    That's eerie.

I guess it was a running joke with some twitter user and Weezer first put out a cover of Rossanna.
Not to mention Weird Al shows up at a Weezer Concert and performs an according solo with Weezer lol.
Oh and Weezer is just ironically wearing a Nirvana shirt lol?

I'm done for awhile after this one.
    This shit is never-ending.
If you like Nine Inch Nails and hate Germs you should check this out.
The song is pretty banging lol.
Not to mention doing it LIVE.

What you have to realize about Weird Al is that he writes all his own lyrics.
    Parody or Not.
Most famous singers/musicians do not do that

Monet, that Toto homage brought back some of my memories from that time. Remember this bad ass song :

Great Era for just about everything.
Love and Miss the Early 80's.

The plot thickens in the poker scandal and she is starting to look more and more guilty lol.
No matter which way you believe the whole thing is a cluster fuck as it should be.
Like I have said many times... lie, cheat and steal is constantly going on no matter what these moral police on these gambling forums claim.

No problem Monet. I enjoyed Doug's podcast as he actually was examining the crime scene (I had seen Doug's podcast earlier but I appreciate the link nonetheless). It's a pretty long, but I also thought Joey Ingram's most recent podcast was quite entertaining. It had Eric Persson (he owns the Maverick casino chain and is also a high stakes poker player as you may know[and was playing at Hustler when things went down]),Bobbi,Tom Dwan,Shaun Deeb,Ryan Depaulo, and others calling in and getting into heated discussions and arguments (please disregard if you have already seen this). Although I had thought she had likely cheated before these two podcasts (Polk and Ingram), these really bring the likelihood up for me to extremely likely she cheated. Obviously the best cheating moves will never be discovered and see the light of day, and so we cannot be entertained by them, the way we are when these idiots pull cheating moves on live streams LOL.

Edit:I just saw on Youtube that Joey is going to drop more entertainment on us starting at 8:30PM PST.

    This is not real.
No human alive could do this and create all of it.
If this is real, he is the greatest singer, entertainer of all time.

Really good if you have context... which I do.

After I seen this song I just quit.
No reason for me to even exist.
This is the smartest man alive.
That is, if he is human.
He can not be from Earth.
I don't understand how he hasn't fixed all the worlds problems.

How the Fuck did he do this... ???
“God! A red nugget! A fat egg under a dog!”
“Go hang a salami, I’m a lasagna hog!”

Thanks Monet. Al's supporting musicians are great too. I am not up on the latest pop musicians so I did not recognize some of the originals of the parodies in the medley - but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

He does claim that people can enjoy the show and songs without knowing the original but knowing the original songs will make it better.
Anyways, I never seen his live show so this is all new to me.
Here he is 23 years ago in 1999 so you probably will get more of the references if you watch it.
I don't expect you to invest your time into this.
I just have one of those lives where I can do whatever I want and waste all the time that I want which I dedicate mostly to my own entertainment.
More of choice than anything else.
I've refused to work and live like a normal, regular person.
I would rather sleep on the sidewalk than work for a living.

This Jerry Springer Song of his starting at 8:15 is just ridiculous.
I don't understand how he never confuses the original lyrics lol.
You can tell he has more energy in this video as he is 23 years younger.

This is now the Weird Al Reco Thread lol...

Creating a Devo Song better than Devo and Devo admitted they loved and hated him for it.

Dare to Be Stupid (1985) and (1999 Live Show)

Excellent stuff Monet. I think I remember when Weird Al was on the long defunct but awesome Dr. Demento show back in the day. Al seems like a terrific person and I'm happy that he's had a lot of success.

I thought I was done with Weird Al Reco's but this pastiche is pretty spot on.
Foo Fighters Style from the point of view of someone scrolling through Reddit, 4Chan and the internet.
I don't even like this style of music very much or care about the lyrics.
I'm just impressed on how amazing the band plays this and how great Weird Al sounds.

Yes the band is really tight. The refinements in Al's and the rest of the band's capabilities are noticeable over the years. Thanks for the reco.
