Thread: Great Speech by Obama Tonight

In case you didn't know, Obama laid it all out. We have a snake in the grass for President. I doubt anyone in their right mind will ever consider voting for this Trump SOB again.

Does he have MS now or something? He keeps flailing his arms around for no damn reason.

Will give him credit for being a well spoken, skilled, smooth liar.

All those trade deals Obama was in on or didn't do anything about as millions of jobs left the country? Trump had to fix all that shit. Allowing the Chinese to fucking own us with lopsided trading? Trump had to fix all that shit to. All those years of European countries not paying into NATO? Trump had to fix that shit. All those wars the Dems like. Trump had to fix that shit to. And there is a lot more Trump is fixing.

Trump has spent his whole presidency fixing Democrat fuck-ups.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

His tariffs are not correcting the Chinese from "fucking us with lopsided trading". Tariffs are first and foremost but a tax. You'd know that if you weren't a fake conservative.

The NATO thing is interesting. In the end when it is all done, we'll be able to make a list of the positive shit he did. Too bad he has done nothing but try to reverse progress on environmental issues. You know, the problems that tend to stick around forever and not just his 4 years with us. But the man has never ever been held accountable his whole life. He's golden in that manner.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

In 2014 Russia annexed Crimea. NATO responded by setting a goal for each of its members to spend at least 2% of their budget on defense by 2024. Member defense spending started increasing in 2015. There are those that mischaracterize this as some sort of NATO fund that members aren't paying into. NATO does have administrative costs and the US has reduced the percentage that it pays of these costs. The complaints, though, refer to defense budgets. Most of the countries are still below 2%. Of course Turkey has a huge standing army and used it to attack our allies, the Kurds, so NATO has way more issues than defense spending by members.

Democratic legislators are not the natural allies of trade deals. Clinton signed NAFTA into law and trade with Canada and Mexico like tripled since. The bigger the deal, the more people that are helped and hurt by it. I think that this is common sense. A President will sign such a deal if he thinks that it will improve the national economy and sphere of influence. NAFTA gave some people jobs and cost the jobs of others. Not many economists are arguing that it didn't improve the economies overall of all three members. That didn't prevent H. Clinton, Obama, and Trump from all campaigning on how horrible it was.

China is not known as an honest broker and is extremely difficult to negotiate with. It's not just their cheaper labor and government support of industry, but they also completely ignore intellectual property rights. Their influence is running rampant through Asia and Africa. TPP was meant as a check on Chinese influence that dealt with worker rights and intellectual property. It is reasonable to assume that it would have increased trade and checked China. It is also reasonable to assume that it would have hurt some US workers while helping others. I'm not saying that you need to like TPP. We never had the chance to see if it would be beneficial or not for sure. I am suggesting that, if you didn't like that agreement, you aren't likely to approve of any agreement. China remains unchecked. Intellectual property rights have not been addressed. China is not on track to fulfill their purchasing agreement of US goods.

Millions of manufacturing jobs did not move overseas under Obama. Over the last 20 years we have lost millions of manufacturing jobs. Some moved overseas, some were automated, and some were lost due to greater efficiency. In the mid 40's manufacturing reached around 40% of US jobs. Before the pandemic this was below 10%. Still we were producing more, a lot more. Millions of manufacturing jobs are not coming back under Trump. I have no idea were some of the information posted on this board comes from. Are there still people here that think that Trump has 40% Black support? Most of the jobs relocating from China are going to South Korea and SE Asia.

And Obama voted against the Iraq war. Not sure why some want to blame Obama for being elected as President to a country in financial crises that was fighting 2 wars. Also not sure why these same people blame Obama for passing on a recovering economy with the 2 wars winding down.

Likewise, we don't know where your information is coming from. You would make a great speech writer for the dems though. You are good at smoke and mirrors.

Well, at least you understand a tariff is a tax. But you left a few facts out. The Chinese were charging us ten times the tariffs we were charging them. That's your boy, Obummer's work. Or I should say non-work as he was playing basketball everyday while the Chinese were fucking us up the ass with steel wool. The Chinese tariffs taxed us so high we couldn't sell anything in their country. That's why the big trade deficit. Your answer is to do nothing and continue to take it up the ass. You might like getting fucked like that but I don't.

Trump's tariffs gave the Chi-Comm's a dose of their own medicine. But I don't expect you to figure that out.
