Thread: Following Your Rules

    Arci,

I'm going to help you out here. If you don't believe me, consult a lawyer.

The reason I believe you could be successfully sued in this instance is a matter of tense. I believe "Rob" may be able to demonstrate that his special plays have historically benefitted him, in what amounts to a limited statistical run. This is in the past tense. If this is the case, what he's claiming has nothing to do with a separate run of a million or a billion hands. It has to do with what happened in reality in a limited time frame in the past. Saying that he did not accomplish A, when he did, is grounds for a lawsuit.

This is virtually the same argument used by investment companies ("Past performance is no guarantee of future results.") to protect themselves. Rob can make the identical argument.

And regarding Dancer, I have not read anything from him that spells out his claim-to-fame run was a bad move. He harps on and on about results not justifying the play, yet his career is framed by a couple of moments wherein he was "doing the wrong thing." He should almost be required to footnote his blogs with, "I became famous by doing something I cannot recommend. So don't do what I did."

Think for a moment, if Rob took you to court. It would end with Rob admitting "past results are no guarantee of future earnings" and you being forced to admit Rob won what he won how he won it. Who comes out ahead from those admittances?

See what I mean about the lies. My wife has never been told to stay out of casinos. Many of her problems are the result of immuno-suppressive medications due to a transplant she received in 2002. I suspect Alan can relate.

Add that to all the other nonsense Singer says about me. None of which he could possibly know. Why would he lie about things he doesn't know? If you know anything about pathelogical liars it is obvious. He simply has to lie. Yes, it is an illness, he's one sick dude.

redietz, you obviously don't know anything about libel cases. You have to PROVE that you have been damaged by the claims. Nothing I have said has could have damaged Singer in any way if, as he claims, he provides all his advice for nothing.

Also, you aren't aware of many of Singer's claims in the past. You are talking with little knowledge of the situation.

    Now back to reality.

"Also, you aren't aware of many of Singer's claims in the past. You are talking with little knowledge of the situation". For instance I'll bet you didn't know Rob has a 9 1/2 " penis, did you? Or was it 10?

LOL -- no, I did not. No wonder Alan is recruiting him for videos.

Talk about having a statistical advantage -- holy hell, with an edge like that, I'd set up a mobile man-brothel and park it somewhere legal. Ummmmmm.....uh oh, may have stumbled onto something here.

If the only way you win is by luck, how can anyone prove anything? All this is so unnecessary. Stick to examples so others can learn. Mine's only 6", but I'm ok with that.

Finally, I can show that he has lied continually in order to get people to try his system. Then, I can get dozens of math savvy folks to support what I am saying.

What can he do? I'd love to see him in a court trying to claim his method is common sense or some other nut-job claim. He would look like the dufus he really is. He would look like a complete fool, not that he doesn't do that on a regular basis.

Alan, you are an accessory. Why you would choose to be an accessory to an obvious con man is beyond me?
Arc, you can say anything you want about Rob's system not being able to deliver what he says it will deliver. You have every right to say that and you can't be held accountable for it legally.

You can be sued because you call him a "con man." Wake up. That is a libelous statement. And calling me an accessory to a con man is also libelous, but I'm not involved in any con -- I just reported on his system.

Arc, I am very sorry about your wife's illness, and I hope her transplant is helping. As I have made public -- I had both a kidney and pancreas transplant and yes I have to take dozens of pills daily for anti-rejection, plus vitamins, nutrients, and I even take a pill to keep my stomach from being damaged from taking too many pills. I can't say that any doctor told me to stay out of casinos because of the transplant and the medications, but I can say that I was not allowed to go to a casino or to Vegas for about the first six months following my transplant, and I do know that certain medications require other changes in lifestyle, which fortunately I have not had to make.

By the way, I very much prefer taking pills three times a day than taking insulin shots three or four times a day which is what I did for 32+ years. My kidneys failed as a complication of diabetes.

Now everything is working well -- I even had my cataracts removed and replaced so I can see, and a few days after my kidney/pancreas transplant I also had a minor procedure on my heart to correct an "electrical problem." I thank God every day and the doctors and nurses and most of all the family that donated the organs of their loved one that helped me and several others who received them.

Now, can we talk about video poker like grownups? Or will this thread turn into a discussion about penis transplants?

My wife was diabetic since she was 19 years old before her pancreas transplant and she hasn't taken a shot of insulin since. However, the drugs have damaged her kidneys even more so she requires dialysis. She's been in a casino 4 times in the last 3 years and all of those were for special shows. Whether she ever gets back to gambling again is questionable.

PS. Calling a con man a con man is not libelous. It is simply a fact, get over it. When someone promotes a worthless system to others, and he's been told many times it is worthless, then he is the one that could get sued. He is leading people to lose far more money than they would otherwise. They will have actual damages that are required when suing anyone. Most people that fall for cons are embarrassed and rarely sue, but it could happen some day.

  11. #91
Arc I am sorry that the drugs damaged your wife's kidneys. They can do that. I have to carefully monitor my blood chemistry.

You are being too loose with your definition of a con man.

If a person plays beyond his means with a bankroll he can't afford, ANY system fails unless that person is extremely lucky. A system that encourages one to continue playing till the long run allows them to win is worse than a system that has a beginning and an end. 1200 credits is certainly a lot less than long term and could end before even 400 credits have been played. I think the real problem is leaving whenever that happens.

This is funny. Now arci knows more about legal matters than redietz, whom if I remember correctly from the old LVA Sports days, is a lawyer.

Arci tells a sad tale indeed of his wife's woes, but even Bob Dancer stopped dragging his wife Shirley into casinos the moment her illness was discovered. Of course the best defense against the possibility of aggravating a serious condition is obviously to never START making them go. What a way to take advantage of someone when you know their weakness will more easily lead them into becoming addicted to going. I personally find it confusing that people who struggle can't just find more healthy activities or recreations.

I saw today the porn industry is moving from LA to Phoenix for "cosmetic" reasons.

Arci, if you tell any more lies instead of providing some of that special play "evidence" you clamor on about, you're nose will be the next transplant around here.....

Rob, you're way out of line here. There is no reason to threaten anyone even if you think your comment about a nose transplant is meant to be humorous. It isn't.
Let's call it quits here about making comments about wives and illnesses because it has nothing to do without discussion about video poker. Let's stay on track.

And if the porn industry is thinking of moving from LA to Phoenix it might be because of the pressure on the porn industry here to force the use of condoms. (I guess that might be considered "cosmetic.")

Yikes. Thread was not supposed to have been locked.

This happened once before where a thread was locked without intention. Sorry this happened. Post away.

First, thanks for those that responded to my original post and kept on topic. My personal interest in spending time here is to post my experiences and gain useful information in this endeavor of becoming more profitable playing video poker. In 2011 this was the first year of posting a net gain, and currently I am profitable in 2012.

I want to report from my last trip to Las Vegas and Laughlin. Down $200 after 2 days at suncoast, and after cashing out my free play at Agua Caliente, Golden Nugget Laughlin, Edgewater, and Suncoast in LV, I hit a royal on 5.00, for $4,000. It was late so I didn’t drive home that night, I booked a room at Orleans on another comp and played a little.

I was down 200 on qtr 50cent and dollar bonus poker when I changed areas and played higher limit 2.00, 5.00, 10.00. After 20 minutes AAAA on 25.00 bet for 2000.00 plus the 333 I had already made.

For me this is a large win cycle. I was hard to sleep that night. The next morning I deposited my take less my trip bankroll into the ATM at my bank. To this point I followed my strategy very well.

After a long sleep Friday afternoon and night (probably 13 hours) I checked out and enjoyed a beautiful Vegas day. I have a friend I call to report to on my trips, she more or less helps me review my progress and how Im following my plan.

I had never been to the Wynn. Part of my progression is that I wanted to start playing at the hotels where I’d really like to stay. I decided I would play at the Wynn. They didn’t have the vp machines I really like and I had to keep switching machines between 2.00 and 5.00 denominations. I ended up giving back 2000.00 at the Wynn. Then another 500 on the way back home. I will say though, I had a fantastic experience staying there. Although I blew back a chunk of my overall profit, I separated that from my awesome stay. The food and amenities were incredible. I found the people really cool to talk to and it was just incredible. I just think the video poker is kinda a thumbs down because of the denomination combinations.

So my overall take from the trip was 4000.00. I feel fairly burnt out and dejected, even though I still have the 4k. I guess I hate losing and hate giving money back. I didn’t follow my plan when I was up nearly 7K, but was still a net winner. This is about where I am in my level of play. I am sure it would be nice to have gone home after the two large wins, but it didn’t happen. I see here I have room for improvement.

I am not sure if I will improve this or the give back cycle after large wins will always continue. I seem to still get very pumped up after large wins. I realize the best move would have been to go home right away, but also due to the fact that I smashed my drivers side mirror on a parking lot support the prior day, I didn’t wanna drive home without a new mirror ( I got that replaced at the dealership in Las Vegas on Saturday).

One thing I have to mention is the importance of nutrition and vitamins when you are spending a lot of time in a casino. Smoking, being around cigarette smoke, and stress, astronomically increases your body’s need for vitamin C. If you are playing video poker, buy the powedered vitamin C at Traders Joes and mix a few teaspoons full a day into juice or water, preferably before and after sessions in the casino.

There is no reason to have bronchitis, or any of that stuff if you do this. You need to be vigilant about nutrition and supplementation especially when you are submersed in cigarette smoke. If you play video poker and don’t take steps to improve your health, all the money in the world wont be worth what your life will be like in 10 years.

I guess I just wanted to report my experience. I guess to vent it out. It could have been better, more efficient, more profitable and less time spent. But the stay and the Wynn for me was absolutely incredible. And even though I realize I didn’t have to drop 2k to have that experience, I was very impressed with everything there and everyone I met.

Learning2CashOut -- Congratulations on the wins and for coming home with 4k. I don't criticize you for playing after the big win.

I'm guessing that you were playing Bonus poker when you hit the quad aces and what was the paytable at Wynn? When I walked through the place, I saw only 7/5.

    Congratulations again!

  19. #99
Thanks Alan. To clarify, the quad aces was at Orleans, and in their high limit area. Those machines the payout actually decreases in bonus poker from 8/5 to 7/5. In the normal area in the casino, where you have 25 50 and 1.00 bonus poker, the payout is 8/5.

At the Wynn, the FH payout is no more than 7 for bonus poker. On the royal I happened to be on a 7/5 payout for all denominations at the Suncoast. Although, I feel better playing the 8/5 bonus pokers at the bars, the ones that go from 25 cents to 50, 1.00, 2.50, 5.00,.

I think here is a point in favor of NOT using the ap strategy. If the casinos and their paid writers were so confident that no other strategy but AP could win (Advantage player) then why would they DECREASE their payout for the high limit machines? After all, the math should still favor them just as much regardless of the denomination, right?

So maybe when push comes to shove, and the dollars get large, the casinos understand something that maybe Rob singer has really hit upon, that short term play matters. I don't think they wanna admit this though. Maybe this has some merit.
