I was in Austin for a few days this week and it was a pleasant surprise to discover that there is an FM radio station that only plays cuts from comedy albums.

There are lots of comedy albums and tapes and this station plays them all the time. While I was listening I didn't hear any "beeps" but I am sure they probably censor some comedians when necessary.

Some radio stations here in LA plays cuts from comedy albums on occasion. One station has "5 o'clock funnies."

But 102.7 in Austin plays comedy all the time. That puts you into a good mood while you're driving around. If more stations played comedy albums maybe we'd have less road rage and fewer accidents, and fewer drivers would be racing and cutting off other drivers to get to work.
