I am not naming the casinos but the feedback that I am getting is some casinos in my neck of the woods are targeting certain hustlers and 86’ing them.

I wasn’t there so this is second hand info. I did speak with a number of people so we **suspect** (as in this this our hypothesis) that the casinos are targeting hustlers that exhibit certain behaviors:

1) camping

2) vulturing that led to customers complaints (this is why you need precise definitions as scavengers are not vultures)

3) speed checking the machines, e.g. blocking off a bank of machine and checking them like they are on speed looking for a quick hit

4) spends too much time in a casino (this is in addition to camping)

5) speed stopping (the bets) on certain bonus machines (especially reading their smartphone or tablet) without a care to bet outcomes.

I used to be a card counter and was forced to quit because my eye-sight got really bad (I’m 60+ y.o. and my body isn’t as good as it used to be). mcap once made fun of me wearing a jacket inside a casino during the summer ... so I told him I have poor circulation. I could see myself using a cane in 5 years and maybe a wheelchair a few years later. We all get old. But I digress.

Anyway, card counter catchers look for certain things to spot card counters. The rule is if you suck at card counting and lose money, then they let you play. So you had to be so good to avoid detection or appear so bad that they let you play. Otherwise, they got you and they tap you on the shoulder and say: You’re too good at BJ but feel free to play the other table games.

It appears the casinos are catching on to speed stopping on MHB’s and certain bonus games. Plus, you are being filmed so they can review the film another time.

This does not affect me because I lose money at these casinos. In one casino, I recently lost $1,300 prospecting a new game and looks like I won’t get my investment back. The worst case this year was dropping over $2,000 prospecting 3 new games at one casino in one day. So that is 2,000 reasons why I won’t be 86’ed at that casino. But then again, I don’t speed stop on MHB’s.

Hustlers new to this industry never learned the few basic rules of how to behave in a casino and not get 86’ed and here are the first 2 rules:

The first rule is the casino will let you play so long as you make wagers where the casino has a built in house edge.

The second rule is a casino will let you try to win your money back so long as you follow Rule #1.

I don’t know too many hustlers that would drop $2,000 prospecting and mapping out a slot machine like me. And then play that bonus machine to try to get the $2K loss back.

So here’s what I think happened: With Wuhan Virus, there isn’t enough action at some casinos so they go to the casinos with more action. Then you got the displaced Reno and out of towners looking for new homes. That creates friction with the established hometown hustlers. Then arguments get heated. You know the drill so casinos catch on and it’s typically the speed stoppers being the bad apples who don’t know how to share.
