I don't call that many people out as phony. There was T3 on the blackjack forum, Singer and now this Mdog character.
And let me tell you they are have a few things in common. 1.) they never lose! 2.) they tip you off ahead of time as to what they are. T3 announced he was going to be one of the blackjack greats and then in the next year proceeded to become that in his fantasy online world. Mdog early last year, posted that he won almost every session and would continue to do so.
Real players win and lose, because that is the way the real worlds works. No one on these forums (well maybe ZenKing) has shared their ups and down more than I. So as soon as someone starts talking about always winning, they go into the full of shit column.
The only way to win ALMOST every session is with a progressive wagering system which will have you winning most sessions but then the one big losing session comes along wiping out all those wins and then some. Progressive wagering people like Singer just conveniently leave out those massive losing sessions.
But you can spot these folks a mile away. And they Should be called out and not played to because they are the court jester or village idiot.
So tell me what is it that you believe? The Newell and double up bug are connected now because Singer connected them. And to anybody being objected have now been proven phony. I mean anyone that was too lazy to call the manager of the dealership to confirm that the pictures singer took in a RV at the dealership were fake, do you really believe that an Isreali purchased his RV sight unseen for half a million dollars in one day, conveniently making the RV disappear?
By the way BoSox, you know what you posted the day Singer posted those pictures? Go back and read. You thought that proved the case and said something to the effect that the only thing that could make this day any better was if kewlJ's unemployment claim was denied. (this was back in May). So don't tell me you weren't biased with an agenda.
So anyway, what of Singers claims do you believe? If not the double up bug that he stole from reading online, is it the Singer progression system? AND that he made hundreds of thousands playing a progression system? Please BoSox tell me what you beleive of this man that you feel the need to defend him so?
I said I would let it go, but BoSox continued to defend Singer, So we are back into this because of BoSox. so I will share what was brought to my attention yesterday by a forum administrator of all people. I said it was a big deal, but it only is to any one being adjective. Those that don't want to see won't see. For those people, like BoSox and mickey, a picture of O.J wearing the bloody gloves with a knife taken 30 seconds after Nicole's murder wouldn't mean anything. "Hey that doesn't prove anything"
so it will take me a minute to set this up because it involves video, I have to go dig up.
A couple of notes on this:
1) It's almost impossible to say that Singer did or did not do a lot of damage to people. I tend to believe his systems talk garnered much more serious attention 20 to 30 years ago. But I don't know. The internet provides massively larger audiences now, so maybe more people would be misled more now than then.
2) It's easy for those of us who use math day to day to dismiss how seriously people took Singer then or take him now. We make assumptions that may or may not hold water. When USA Today first started publishing, they had pages of ads full of handicappers claiming 85% and 90% ATS wins. Readers couldn't evaluate that; they assumed that if the ads were in USA Today, they must have been vetted or the claims were at least very possible. Today, that wouldn't pass muster. So maybe Singer did a lot of damage back then, and very little now. That's the way I think it is, but I could be wrong because the internet reaches so many people, and because I think that people today are more prone to believe what they prefer to believe. The question is -- do people grasp probability better now than 25 years ago? I do not know. Alan Mendelson's Singer videos certainly reached a good number of people.
3) As I said, I think people like BoSox, or kewlJ, or myself, or my friends in academia, tend to not want to believe how dumb-ass in terms of statistics people today really are. We overestimate the man-in-the-street's ability to reason things out or make probability judgements.
4) Alan Mendelson, as much as he and I have gone head to head, was a fine journalist. If he bought into the Singer schtick, then a lot of people bought into that schtick. Those Mendelson videos of Singer explaining his systems had many, many views. People didn't sit and watch those videos because they rejected what Singer was saying
5) Singer was on the front page of Gaming Today just about every other week for years, pushing his style of play. Now I have in other posts explained the advantages of using a Singer style (mainly, the casinos back then would classify you as an impulsive nutcase, and you'd garner extra comps and status, partly because Singer's formal rules involved lugging 50K to 60K around with you to back the martingale style). So it's not like I dismissed what he did out of hand. What I dismissed was his absolute insistence for decades that his systems and special plays were superior to optimal play. He was being read by gazillions of tourists each week who didn't know any better. This continued for years. The print run for Gaming Today back in the 90's was not small.
6) Nobody really believes Singer about the double up bug. Something being remotely possible and being real are two different things, to paraphrase an Axelwolf line. I think there's a reason Singer unveiled his new schtick to Mendelson first. He was hoping for more wingman-ism. BoSox, if you watch the Shackleford interview with Singer, or the Mendelson videos, Singer comes across as very believable from a presentation standpoint. I have to salute him, Hawaiian shirts aside. Consider that he's been a salesman for 30 years. Those undoubtedly were dangerous sales for some people, even if just a handful.

UNkewlJ never lets anything go. Anyway, while he's ranting, I'm booking deng.
OJ was guilty but they framed him. They framed a guilty man. They went too far.
And if UNKewl understood more about human nature and so on, he'd stop ranting so much and realize that by overplaying his hand he's just turning people off. We get it. But now he's going too far to belabor the point.
Anyway, RS (aka RobSinger) is a good ol' boy by virtue of having voted YES on the two MDawg polls.

So below is the link to the Michael Shackleford Rob Singer interview from last May.
Let's forget about the double up bug part of Rob's claims, of which the interview was mostly about, although you will note that as previously stated, at about 23:18 when discussing that Rob links the RV to the double up bug claim stating that is his proof.
But I want to focus on the section where Rob was discussing his progressive strategy, starting at 23:40. @ 24:09 Rob states that he played the progressive strategy from 2000-2004 making $375k. @ 25:05 Rob states that he tried AP video poker play for 6 years prior to playing the progression strategy and failed, losing over 200k.
So the timeline is pretty clear.....Rob's own words.
1994-2000 Rob attempted advantage play video poker play , failing and lost over 200k.
2000-2004 Rob claims to have played his progressive strategy winning $375k.
Everyone on the same page?
So next up would be Rob's book The undeniable truth about Video Poker. (link below)
Please note the publish date December 2000, meaning the book was written sometime earlier in 2000. This would mean it was written just after Rob had played and failed at playing advantage player video poker for 6 years and was just starting his progressive wagering run. So he publishes a book about his successful video poker play? By his own timeline he had lost for the last 6 years at that point. AND take a look at the write up...."inside secrets of a winning professional player" He is coming off of 6 straight losing years as he writes this!
I mean this is the very starting point of the whole Singer fantasy and troll. After he himself admits to losing 1994-2000, he publishes a book calling himself "a winning professional player". At which point the the story (and long running troll) begins....
After that he takes a "job" writing a column for free in a gambling publication to promote this book and story which he will expand on for the next 20 years. Do you see just like Mdog and T3, Rob sort of told ya ahead of time where this was going. I would say "you can't make this stuff up"....but he did!

I guess there is no legal liability for lying in a book. If there was John Patrick would have been locked up a long time. You would think any publisher attaching their name and reputation would have an issue, but I don't know how that works.
But come on people, at the time Rob wrote this book, by his own admission he had lost playing video poker for 6 years to the tune of $200k. That would be like Alan Mendelson publishing a book about the secrets of winning at craps. (no offense Alan).
This is important because this was the very beginning of Rob's 20 year troll of claims, evolving claims, stolen claims. Anyone defending any part of this person and his long running troll is a fool has a different agenda. If you are defending Rob because you don't like me (BoSox), then stop defending Rob and just say "I don't like you".
Singer has been a pretty substandard liar for most of his life apparently. You can go back to 1986-1987 where he couldn't even report the same amounts of income on his state and federal tax returns. Landing him in hot water for years. It is a life long habitual problem most likely.

The only things I can come up with from this person's long running claims that may NOT be lies are
1) That he was a losing video poker player from 1994-2000 to the tune of 200k.
2) That he has been married for a long time.
As to #1, that really is the basis for bitterness that everything else that followed has been about.
As to #2, I would want to talk to the wife to hear her side.
Are you kidding with this link. Exactly what were the specific circumstances around this? Just out of curiosity that decision was mailed to a legal firm in Arizona and to this guy in the United Kinkdom. Did Rob have a residence there?

By blocking anybody other then useless anagram weirdo and maybe Tasha, means your throwing in the towel, come on no quitting guys. Have some fortitude.....looking at you KJ.
For the record I fought the IRS tooth and nail for years. Business people trying to get the most they could out of income will usually have tax issues eventually. I had tax lawyers and accountants always handling my issues. I wish I could have kept all the amounts I was forced to return along with all the penalties and interest I paid the government.
Then when you look where it all eventually ends up ... Poorly run Democratic States needing a bail out ... I wish I went even further bullshitting the IRS.
The COWARD wants to bring up some 2-bit issue about someone he hasn’t confirmed for fact is even Singer.
