When Rob S told the story about the double-up bug almost everyone did not believe him and called him as you say a
blatant liar without proof frankly even right up to today no one has proven him a liar on that issue. The story about the Newel ownership wasn't even told yet. When everyone is against you I consider it an underdog position. I am not supporting him but will admit I was hoping that he in fact figured out the glitch. After the way Rob was treated with the double-up bug story, I think he then gave the mob what they really wanted, and asked for, a lie with the Newel story, and guess what he won people went bonkers while he sat back and laughed at them.

BoSox, why do you think the "mob" as you called us didn't believe Rob's double up bug? Do you think the fact that he has lied about all these other claims, half of which I can't even remember and changed stories and timelines for 2 decades had anything to do with people's first reaction to not believe him? Hell I can even find posts where Rob first stated he bought a Newell for 900k. Then it was 1.1 million, 1.5 million and finally 1.6 million. Almost every single thing he said and claimed, some of them pretty minor, turns out to be not true or the truth severely stretched. That is what credibility is. You lie and lie and lie and expect people to believe your next fantastic claim?

Bosox let me ask you this...did you read what Rob wrote back, I don't even know what year it was, but when the Kane/Nester story broke and was being discussed right on this very forum? Rob wrote what they did was illegal and they should go to jail. He now says that was to deflect people. Who? who on this forum was thinking Rob could have possibly stumbled onto that play that he needed to "deflect'? Absurd.

If he really had been involved with that play, when the Kane/Nestor story broke and was being talked about here, Rob would have said nothing....not a word.

I mean just imagine if Rob's claim was true....it isn't so that is a lot of imagining, but try hard to imagine it was. They were busted in 2009. The story didn't really break until the Wired articled a couple years later as they were going through the legal process. A year or two later is still well within the statute of limitations that Rob told us he was so worried about. So he makes his comments here and is arrested afterwards. He will have admitted that he knew it was a crime and thinks he should have gone to jail.

But the fact is Rob made that up after the story broke. And he had to change his primary long running claim, of 10 years playing the Singer progression to accommodate this new claim. I mean come on there has to be a point that a guy who keeps lying, making up nearly impossible claim, after nearly impossible claim has zero credibility. Rob was way past that point.

I'll give him some credit for giving Singer a platform, to look like a ass. Other then that the Manboy interview was atrocious.There's no doubt Axel would have grilled him and put Robbie on the hot seat, to extract a lot more out of the process. Even with Axel going incognito for the interview(obvious reasons) would have yielded a much better result. He is not worth quoting but, he said something to the effect that AP's expect others to believe fantasy stories about "wealthy" gambling careers. Frankly I don't see many other AP's talk about what they make. I wish they would. I would like to know what some of the guys playing to bigger edges like jbjb make and just how much time they put in to make it. I am curious to know what a guy like Axelwolf that has his hand in so many different types of AP makes (so i know just how jealous to be). I would like to know what MaxPen makes. I would like to know what mickeycrimm, a guy who I see similarities to what I do, a grinder playing lower limits, except he is a machine player, makes.

I have never heard any of these guys talk about what they make and how much time they put in to make it. Now I do share what I make. I decided a long time ago that I was going to try to share as much of my journey and experiences including what I make, so people could see just what a grinder type player can make. And anybody that has paid attention to me and what I have shared calling it "wealthy gambling careers" is a flat out idiot. Last year I made 14k from blackjack and another 10k from my supplemental machine play. 24k for a year, and now it is 24k over the last 15 months. "Wealthy"!

And yes, while this last year has been a bit unusual, the 80k that I average (please understand what average means), qualifies as anything but wealthy. My career is a grind. So I am not sure what bitter old, anti-APer blackhole is so angry about. I mean the guy tells us he has done well in life and made millions and millions, and yet he is bitter, angry and jealous of AP's grinding out a modest living and in most cases working pretty hard to do so. Something doesn't add up.

I am impressed though, and appreciate you sharing.
I too would be fascinated by the financial success of other, known to be real, AP's on this board. I am not holding my breath though. Between peoples' sense of privacy and the trolling of even consistently reasonable claims, I wouldn't expect people to share much.

I think this could in fact be an April fools joke at the membership expense, co-conspired by Max and Rob together. Although, that would be one sick joke. First I do not think that MaxPen would go and do what he claimed. I think that he is much smarter than that. Second I do not believe that Singer would let himself be intimidated into almost blackmail and back down like what supposedly he is doing. There are games taking place and we are the victims.

That's the thing. It isn't even an apples to apples comparison. I get no vacation pay. Can take all the vacations and vacation days I want, but at my expense with no pay. I get no sick leave or pay. And I have had some medical issues requiring time off. That means no money coming in. I do have good health insurance, but of course I pay for that.

And retirement. Technically I have zero towards retirement. Being a player that started from almost nothing much of my winnings went towards building a bigger bankroll, which allowed me to earn more. I think this is the case with most guys starting out. Now after 17 years, my entire worth is between a couple hundred k bankroll and my home that is fully paid. Like I said, zero retirement at the moment. At some point when I stop playing, my bankroll will fold into retirement money and I hope to have established some retirement money by then to add it too. It is just a different situation from someone my age working a career job.
