Thread: Caesars Rewards/Mlife "day of play" Daily Theo

--This was reposted from the TR/Mlife forums as recommended to me, as there is considerably lower activity there. And this is related to Vegas. If an admin wants to delete the original post, go right ahead--

Hi, I'm sure this has been asked multiple times but things change so who knows.

A certain CET property resets their day of play at 6am. Meaning the TCs earned begins anew at that time. (if you're trying to earn bonuses, or when a certain promo or multiplier ends) But does anyone know how/when it interacts with other activities? Such as spending reward credits, or checking into a property. Say I want to check in on Friday night, but have no intention of playing until Saturday morning, will that affect my comps negatively? What if I DONT check in, or use my reward credits (NOT food comps) at a restaurant? Does all of those count as a day of play?

Would like a discussion going regarding this and other related information on what we can or should not do if we don't intend to play on a specific day. What else can be done to preserve the Daily theo.

I'm a diamond lounge level card holder (what the hell do they call this card level now, I cannot figure it out). I also have a Gold Mlife card, because of my Hyatt Rewards program. But I have no experience with Mlife properties, and would also be ears to related discussion about daily theo and other strategies from Mlife properties.

I am making an LV trip in the next couple weeks or so. I play mostly video poker and I'm fine playing $5 per hand at 'bad' games that return around 97%-99%

At most ceasars properties you are tripped out for two days even when staying only one

That makes sense, as if you are checking in a certain day and checking out the next, its 2 days.

So even though you are told to leave your room at 11am or noon, give or take. They expect a day of play out of you.

I'm pretty certain you interpret that wrong.

They don't expect a second day of play even though you were there two days

Ok so the day I check out I do not have to play. But the day I check in, I am?

If they trip you for a hotel stay and they trip you for two days it doesn't matter how you do it.

Play only the day you check in or

Play only the day you check out

    Or play both days.

You have been tripped for two days as in one combined trip

I've been in Vegas for something like three weeks now. I never play on checkout day, and I almost never play on check in day.

First resort, end bill was about five hunny, and that was just tips and spa retail (spa services covered 100%). And I won money.

Second resort, the total bill was barely over a hundred dollars. Again, all spa services were covered, only thing left was spa retail and tips. We ate only take-out in-suite food that leg of the trip (pretty much ate only take-out at the first resort too), so restaurant tips were almost nothing. And I won at that resort too.

There is no need to knock yourself out playing on check in or check out days. You'll generally be tired on check in days, so why give them any edge? Check out days you're under time constraints which is also a bad scenario under which to play.

So no you do not need to play on check in or check out days to be fully comp'ed. I probably average three or four hours a day for the days I play NOT for every night of the stay, and I still get fully comp'ed. At the first resort my average bet was probably something like a thousand, at the second more like seven hundred. Table games only.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

Just curious how much freeplay you get per day?

You know, that's a good question.

Through this stay I've seen people show up with promotional chips $100.s and $500.s and plop them on the Baccarat table. I've seen players show up with as much as a couple grand in these chips. I haven't watched ultra closely but I think on some of the chips if they win they get to keep the chips for another bet, which are the best kind of freeplay chips.

I haven't asked for any, because I have been winning. Years ago (we're talking before that decade or so hiatus from gaming of mine), when I used to have savage up and down trips, they would hand me as much as five grand of those free chips at a time.

At the first resort, since I had not played at that resort in many many years, I asked what it would take to get my player card back to gold. Was told a 15,000 theo loss. I passed that. Then I needed a 30,000 theo loss to get to platinum (their highest level), and by the time we checked out was told I was just a hair under that. I ended up winning not a huge amount, just a couple grand on that leg of the trip but over the course of the trip at that first resort with bets I put for the dealers next to mine I probably tipped out as much as I won, so maybe they have me down for a 4000 win that trip. In any case I won.

Correct me if I’m wrong but FP (slot or table play) offers don’t get asked for. They are sent based on previous action through, win or lose.

As I don’t play table games at the limits you do, maybe you can get more if you ask, like discretionary comps. And if you can and don’t as, regardless of winning or losing, it just shows again you are leaving money on the table.

But of course we all understand you have been in Vegas weeks playing a negative game and are up of course. And helped another poster on here win $400,000.

It’s good to be MDawg, lol.

One thing I'm curious about - my general impression, is that they are comp'ing more right now than pre-pandemic.

We stayed twelve nights at that first resort in an 1850 square foot suite that, I checked, was about $600. a night (estimating - that particular level of suite we were in does not show as available for booking because it is top tier, but the 1500 square foot suite that is just below it is around $450. a night). This is less than half of what that suite cost per night pre-pandemic, as all room rates are much lower these days at least at that resort, but anyway, figure $600. a night. Then we also added resort fee to the stay, which is another $50. a night. All this was comp'ed up front.

P.S. I did not come in and say "hey guys we're staying twelve nights." We booked for five, then kept extending a few days at a time. I've always done it that way.

The spa that she had comp'ed was around $1000.

We were pretty cheap dates this time around, but still, food daily was average $150. (partly because sometimes we just got food from places that took cash only no room charge, such as off-property). So that's another $1800.

Total comps would be in the neighborhood then of $10,600. if I am estimating the room price correctly (based on rack rate). That's a good 30% of my theoretical loss, more than 30% actually. That's a very solid comp, especially considering that I won, and more than I expected actually. I was actually a little surprised that both resorts comp'ed all spa services - didn't even need to ask actually.

Maybe they are trying hard to reel in the high rollers right now.

Compare this to that stay a couple years ago, not at this resort but another one that is probably not even quite as top tier, but definitely up there, where after we stayed two weeks the host refused to pick up about $800. as I recall in remaining food and spa, after comp'ing the suite and most of the food. Host said, "NOBODY stays two weeks at the ______." (That two year or so ago trip ended up winning a fair amount though, so maybe host was looking at that, but the win shouldn't matter, the theo loss should.) Yet this trip, I got the impression that the host would have let us stay even longer. I mean, whenever I asked for another three days I kept wording it in terms of "If you don't mind...." and the response was so easy going that I understood it to mean that we could have stayed longer.

You do know the female director that sits in charge of everything at Caesar's Palace is over at the Flamingo working out of an office whenever there's a problem with one of the top-tier executive hosts or questions, she's the one that gets the call.

I find it hard to believe MDawg gets no mailers with Freeplay. He doesn't check his mail from casinos. And would not want any freeplay because he is such a successful winner

I guess one of the main reasons I asked about these scenarios, is because I usually arrive and check-in when it is just about midnight, or even after midnight - So that would be a very late check-in. And in the same way, there are times when I need to leave the hotel in the middle of the night. Mostly due to work reasons.

Most often I don't like a 9-5 lifestyle, I do run a lot through the machines, but just not structured day by day. I just wonder how much is that screwing me in offers.

As far as the days where I am in Vegas for the whole day, meaning if I have a 4 day hotel stay, I am speaking for day 2 and 3. I will generally play over 10 hours for each of those days. I generally don't roam around or go to shows etc. I just play and eat.

MDawg does not appear to be aware that freeplay offers come through the mail.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

ccship - all that makes sense.

Of all the casinos I go to only one mails me anything and whatever they mail me just duplicates the emails. High end players don't want crap being mailed to them. It may have something to do with not wanting whoever gets your mail (i.e. your spouse!) knowing that you gamble. In my case, not an issue my wife travels with me and knows everything that's going on, but most big players do not want anything mailed to them.

"Free play" is primarily for slots players anyway. Or for table games players who lose a lot and then the casino wants to help them out and feel better about their losses. I don't fall in either category.

How would any of you know about free play chips? You guys never played anything significant at a table game under a real identity. I'd rather get no response at a forum than a response from people who have no idea. If you want to follow my Adventures you know where to find me.

Hey DarkOz in case you haven't noticed your CYDY is in the toilet again. Once again, for the second (or third?) time you held a modest winner all the way down to a big loser.

Until I sell my holdings or Cytodyn goes out of business I haven't lost anything. I still own the same portion of the company.

Again, for someone who claims to understand business and stocks, Cytodyn is a pre-revenue drug Development company so the stock is volatile until FDA approval which takes a long time.

As for this whole Freeplay thing you claim not to receive, that has to be the biggest crock of bullshit I ever heard
