Other than a trip while casinos were closed, for the first time in over 20 years I didn’t visit Vegas this year for multiple reasons. I read the stories of “issues” on the strip and downtown and some possible reasons for it. Most seem to being blamed on a lessor quality of customer coming to Vegas from CA because it’s cheap and they want to get away. We are seeing a similar, yet slightly different issue in Tahoe.

Tahoe had a huge influx of people coming from CA to the Nevada side due to less restrictions. The issue was jamming crowds into rental places and then trashing the area. The lake wasn’t ready for the crowds and they left trash all over the beautiful environment causing debate among locals and rental property owners. Owners definitely reduced their rental standards for money. It seems this is happening in Vegas as well in regards to just taking any cash they can get.

So anyways after that ramble from me, I was wondering what those of you like KJ and others who live in Vegas are seeing and what you think about the issue? And is it as bad as many are saying?

The 4 Queens has been overrun by the Moors on the weekend.
I was playing awhile back at 3 am and it was a literal zoo.
I asked one of the managers I know and they said it started since California locked everything down last March/April.
Turns out its a problem for them because they ask them to leave and they get all uppity about Black Lives Matter.
I stay away from downtown on the weekend these days.

I couldn't pull the trigger on the farm so I'm gonna be like Rob and buy an RV.
Although I'm not getting into a Million Dollar Newell.
I'm looking at the type you pull with a truck that run about 25k to 30k.
I just want to take 2 to 3 week trips.
Come home for 2 to 3 weeks and head back out again.
I'm tired of hearing Joe Rogan and his Hunting Stories.
    Time to actually try it.
Or at least just get out there and stop vegetating at home.

Not a current story but 20 years ago the 4 Queens had a lot of exploitable slots. I was making a late night lap around them when I heard a commotion. A lady had got up to find an ash tray. Some black dude immediately sat down in her seat and started playing her credits. She got security.

"Excuse me, sir" the security guard said "This lady was playing that machine."
"What? What the fuck you talkin' bout?" The dude said.
"That lady right there said she was playing this machine and those are her credits." The security guard said.
"That bitch? That bitch is runnin' some kinda scam" dude said.
"I don't think so" said the security guard.
"Man...fuck this place! That bitch ain't rippin' me off" dude said as he hit the cashout button and collected the tokes in a bucket. He headed off toward the cage.
"Ma'am, you're just gonna have to be more careful next time." The security guard said to her.

She walked off crying and the security guard went on about his business.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

For a ramble you are right on. Being green in California stays in California, apparently. I been in Vegas three different times for a total of 20 days on the strip since June. There has been a decline in the costumer. It’s not a game changer, but is a real good excuse for social distancing (and I’m not talking about the COVID-19).

I would have yanked that bucket right out of that thief's hands. I would NOT have allowed some Thief to steal MY money in a Casino in front of me! I do wonder if Race had anything to do with that Black THIEF walking off with that Lady's money and Security NOT stopping him. Like The Security didn't stop him for Fear of being labeled a Racist for targeting a a Black Personn. I wonder if the Thief had bern WHITE had he stopped him from walking off with the Victim's money.

In my opinion, no it is not as bad as many are saying. Yes there has been a temporary shift, with less visitors flying to Vegas and more driving from nearby states. And that means California and that means more of the "lower end" clientele. Vegas always has crime, including "professionals". It is just sort of being highlighted during this "shift".

I saw some numbers this morning for September. Air traffic visitors were down 67% in September from September 2019. No surprise. Visitors arriving by car where up 11% from the same time period. You add those two together and a much higher percentage of visitors are from California.

There may always be crime in Vegas but the reported stats say aggravated assaults are way up despite less visitation.

And there have been numerous reports from Lombardo's office confirming the rise of violent crime in the declining shithole of a city that LV has become. Leave it to kew--someone with zero future along with absolutely no skills to be productive in any aspect of our society--to claim things are hunky-dory. As usual, facts are meaningless to him.

    What an idiot.

IN order for the eye in the sky to be effective the hired help has to be willing to use it.

Why did the security guard let him get away with it? Fuck if I know.

I also questioned why the Security Guard allowed this THIEF to steal someone's money. My ONLY theory is it was because the Perpetrator was a BLACK man and tbe Security guard didn't want trouble for "Targeting," a Black man....

It has also crossed my mind that the Security Guard and the Thief may have been in on it together. Would be wrong, but NOT surprising.

Perhaps the Security Guard felt that his salary did not warrant the risk of himself getting injured or worse.

Perhaps, but doubtful, security was in on the job.
