The Flyers are playing great and going to be tough this year.
However, they are on a back to back going into Canada playing Toronto.
Two ways to play this I suppose.
You could play the Flyers Money Line.
I'm going to play it with Toronto on the Alternate Puck Line giving up 2.5 goals.
You could try the OVER 6.5 as well.

My Pens have had a rough road trip.
They are on a back to back playing Buffalo.
I like Buffalo on the Money Line.
Buffalo Reverse Puck Line if you like to gamble.
The game is a virtual toss up but since Pittsburgh is on a back to back after getting beat up by Boston I have to bet against them.

    Toronto -2.5
    Buffalo Money Line

Monet, without getting a snarly reply, can I ask what makes you say the Flyers are going to be tough (as in better) this year? I don't follow hockey very closely, so I defer to your expertise. Did the Flyers trade or acquire some better players that would make you think that?

Looking at the 9 games played, the Flyers won 4 of their first 5. A very nice start. Now they have lost 3 of 4 including 2 overtime losses.

Last year just weeks into the season, I was in Phila area for a couple weeks. I have some friends who are diehard Flyers fans. Not even that big Phillies or Eagles fans, just live and breathe Flyers. And last year, the Flyers also got off to a very decent start and both these guys were in their glory, insisting the Flyers were contenders for the first time in forever. Long about Christmas the Flyers were in their usual spot and were eliminated from playoffs with months remaining in the season.

So I am just wondering, is there anything that really points to a Flyers improvement this year or did they just win a couple games in the first week before teams and players have really gotten into shape?

Yes the Flyers are committed to doing better this year.
    They hired John Tortorella

A team that hires Tortorella knows what it is signing up for.
Things are going to change, and the process isn't always going to be smooth.
But in the end, the team has an identity -- something lacking with the Flyers the past few seasons.
"We have zero respect in this league. I'm willing to admit that," Tortorella said. "But that's what gets me going. I love this opportunity."

Now I could keep going on and on about why I think the Flyers will be better this year but the point is that they can't do much worse than last year.
If you want to get into it, start with Carter Hart... I like him in net.

    Tortorella was a great hire.
Carter Hart has been standing on his head every night. Confidence back. Last year completely untrustworthy and the defense in front of him.

    Buffalo Money Line
    Everything broke right today.
Toronto covers the 2.5 puck line and the over 6.5.
Buffalo covers the money line and the reverse puck line.
    Win 2.5 units.
Feels like we should of won more but the over wasn't an actual bet and the reverse puck line on Buffalo was only a suggestion.
LOLz at the Penguins losing 6 in a row.
Serves them right for costing me money against the Canucks.
    Assholes!
Oh and Fuck those Refs calling all those penalties against the Home Team Maple Leafs.

I think I'm up 3.45 units since I started tracking a week or so ago.
    Whatever.
    Tomorrow looks difficult.
Moreso, the lines aren't very appealing.
    I'll take a swing anyways.
I mean what are you going to do, wait till the All-Star Break?
I'm tired of the complete and utter domination by the Bruins, even though they are my 3rd favorite team.
    Time for them to lose.
Time for those Colored Injuns to start losing too!
Panthers Puck Line out of principle and 31 seasons of contempt for the Sharks.

    Capitals Puck Line +180
    Knights Puck Line +165
    Rangers Puck Line +190
    Wild Puck Line +135
    Kings Puck Line +160
    Flames Puck Line +140
    Panthers Puck Line +105

    OVER 6 on the Duck/Canuck snoozefest -115

2-5 is better than my 1-7 day.
Congratulations to the Houston Astros even if they do belong in the National League.
    Mattress Mack is happy.
That 3 run shot was pretty sweet.

Get your tickets in early, as the NHL has two 11 a.m. EST games.
Perfect situation for a 3 teamer.
    The stars are aligned.

    Hurricanes Puck Line +160
    Rangers Puck Line +105
    Panthers Puck Line +115

Pays 10.5 to 1 on your Danno... Book 'em!

    I’m down.
Can you believe the Coyotes and Kraken? I mean in this kind of environment you may as well take long odds PL or dog straight up.
Flyers with Carter Hart in net are tough!

At least you only have one home team blacked out. When I signed up for MLB, this summer thinking I could watch all MLB games, I had 6 teams blacked out (5 California teams and Arizona). Because LV doesn't have a baseball team, they all claimed LV as part of their "territory".
