    The election wasn't that close.

In 2012 Obama beat Romney by 5 million votes and no one thought that election was particularly close. In 2020 Biden won by even more 7 million votes.

Even if you allow for the increase in number of people that voted. 2012 Obama won by 3.9%, but Biden won by 4.4%. Not that close!

The electoral college currently makes some elections look closer than they really are, but even by that standard 2020 wasn't that close. Both 2000 and 2016 that democrats lost were much closer and you didn't see them act like such sore losers jumping up and down screaming.

The only slight oddity about 2020 was the availability of mail voting in many more states. Mail voting has been allowed in 3 or 4 states for 20 years now. So because of Covid, a number of states decided to implement mail voting for the first time. Funny thing, these states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, it was the republican that control the state legislatures that voted to allow that. And then republicans took that complaint to court after court and lost every case....most thrown out by republican appointed judges and justices. It is just ridiculous.

add on: and by the way, I am not a proponent of mail voting, except in cases of disabled people unable to get to the voting place. I think people need to make an effort to go out and vote. But, by our laws, each state makes that decision for itself. Maybe that (each state deciding) is what needs to be changed.
I stand corrected. But, in the best of ways. It was just that I found it very, very scary, for a day or two there. What it would have been had Trump won is, I think, truly unimaginable.

    Thank you, KJ.
Every one /everyone knows it all; yet, no thing /nothing is truly known by any one /anyone. Similarly, the suckers think that they win, but, the house always wins, unless to hand out an even worse beating.

For weeks prior to the election it was explained to us, that it would take days to count all the ballots and that some states had laws, (often enacted by republican legislatures) that said mail in ballots couldn't be counted until polls closed. It was explained that this would mean voting day votes were counted first and since republicans were voting more in person (and told to do so by Trump) that on election night there would be states where Trump and republicans were leading that would flip as they counted the mail in votes. WE WERE TOLD THIS IN ADVANCE!

And yet, I will admit, that when it happened, and I saw Republicans leading by hundreds of thousands of votes in places like Michigan, Wisconsin Pennsylvania, it caught me off guard.....Even having been told this would happen! But eventually those states swung back close again when mail in (democratic votes) were counted and in this election, Democrats narrowly won those states, just as Republicans had narrowly won them in 2016....because they are states almost evenly divided.

So looking back on it, anyone, myself included, that saw those numbers on election night and somehow didn't recognize that these states were going to grow closer when ALL votes were counted, was the fool.

    None of the above.

Moderate, such that Dan must preapprove her posts, and if she's fine for a month end the moderation.

I actually suggested something like that on WOV for Zenking when he went on explosive rants and I got ragged, dragged, and turned down.... I thought my idea was good as Zenking's rants can be disturbing.... The one where he threatened to shoot up an entire City was particularly disturbing.... He did soon admit he shouldn't have said that and apologized the very next day for it however...

Dan already put some sort of Moderation on me. I can only posts 6 times a day and can only posts 1 thread a day.. he put that when I was posting Willy Nilly and was a huge Troll in 2019. I asked him multiple times to remove that posting Limit since I no longer am a huge Troll, but no dice....

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!

Shout out to Zenking, your explosiveness is missed. This place needs a fire starter such as yourself. As a consellation prize wil settle for " DESERTRUNNER" or "USPAPERGAMES".

Have to set KJ straight on this one. First, the GOP MI controlled legislature didn't vote for mail balloting in MI. It was the people of MI who decided on a Constitutional Amendment to do this. And it was done way before covid became an issue. It was passed in 2018 allowing for no reason absentee voting, and of course the GOP in trying to suppress the will of the people opposed it. By the time the 2020 election came along the process was well established.

Another colourful character is TYDE. I know he got exiled over at PFA, but Druff should give him a platform over here. This place needs a good adrenaline shot.
