What, Me Worry?
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
I just returned from Lincoln City and drove down Hwy. 18, site of the above photo.
My wife was with me and this was the first time she'd been down there since the fire: she was surprised / somewhat blown away by all the damage.
There was much worse damage done to homes located on a road on the other side of the Salmon River, near where my buddy lives.
Many homes were burned to cinders: the home owners must be stout-hearted strong folk becaus most seem to be sticking around: a bunch of RV's are now on the burned homesites, and many live in them while they begin to rebuild.
Earlier this year the area from south of Portland to the coast got hammered by a bad ice storm, and they are still cleaning up more than a month later, blocking off traffic lanes so heavy equipment can be used to clear things out.
What, Me Worry?
Things are shutting down again in Oregon due to the surge in covid-19; no indoor dining.
It will be interesting to see what my go-to tribal casinos, Spirit Mtn. and Chinook Winds, do to adjust to it this time; they are sovereign nations and can freely disregard the governor's order if they wish.
For example they both stayed open most of the time (short shut down early on) while other venues stayed closed.
It's the availability and method of sreving food that will likely change; recently the buffets were open, with modifications: that may change.

What, Me Worry?
Went to Spirit Mtn. first, played my ten dollar Double Diamond and quckly got whacked $700.00.
Off to Chinook Winds.
Hit a hand pay for $1200.00 on my go to game, Double 3x4x5x Pay; paid $300.00 to Uncle Sam for estimated taxes.
I'd planned to bet big, to take a lot of shots, and that is what I did.
The hand pay came on a $20.00 bet.
Emboldened, I poured on the coal, regularly beting $5.00, $10.00, $20.00 and $40.00 per spin; must have Bet $40.00 over a dozen times, with only one good hit for $800.00 on another machine there, a Double Diamond.
Predictably I pissed away my winnings, and finished up at CW only barey ahead.
Stopped at Spirit Mtn. on the way home, won about $250.00 at Double Diamond.
Finished down $385.00 for the day; enjoyed it quite a bit, even though I lost, as I got to take numerous deep shots at the brass ring.
Maybe some day ...
What, Me Worry?
You taking home $900 on a $1200 win reminds me of someone who said that he was MAD that he won $1200 when what he REALLY wanted was to win $1100. A Newbie Gambler asked him WHY he wanted to win $100 less. He explained to the Newbie Gambler that $1200 would mean a $300 tax cut, whereas $1100 would have NO taxes taken out, so he actually would keep $200 more than with a $1200 "Win,". The Newbie Gambler saw the light....

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.
Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.
Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.
I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!
