Thread: A guy won $60k at MGM National Harbor, showed off, and then a girl set him up for robbery in his room

  1. #1
A dude won $60k, then three young people with weapons attacked him in his room, tried to force him to open his safe, and he ran off. They shot him in the hallway and he came close to dying.

They got access to his room through a "honey trap", where a girl pretended to be interested in him, and when he opened the door for her, she and her two male friends burst in with guns.

    Only two have been arrested.

This occurred in August 2020, but was just disclosed now, and only after a local TV station pressed it.

One of the dumbass criminals posted pics of himself with stolen jewelry from the robbery on Instagram.

Here's the two suspects who were arrested and charged with attempted murder:

Barry Reid, 20, was the idiot who posted the stolen stuff on Instagram:

Alicia McCoy was the chick who tricked him that she was interested in him, when he was showing off the money. She's 25:

(Pre post disclaimer TRIGGER WARNING No racist intent as like white women African American women can be attractive or not. May be a sexist comment though)

Aren’t honey traps supposed to be attractive?

The news report says that the girl opened his locked hotel door. I wonder how that happened.

Funny. My traveling rule is anything that seems too good to be true is too good to be true.

Sounds like he's BSing here. Either he gave her a key, or he left the door open for her. She wasn't just able to waltz in to a locked room.

I guess there's a small chance the door didn't close well enough, and they just pushed it open, but I'm guessing the dude let her in, and wants to seem like less of a chump. Clearly these weren't sophisticated criminals.

I thought that black lives were supposed to matter, not act feloniously?

Oh wait a minute, this is America: never mind, same shit, different day.

Sometimes I wonder why they ever bothered to abolish slavery, the way things have turned out.
