Some Gambler punched a slot three times in frustrated anger the other day after complaining that the bonus symbols ALMOST lined up TWENTY times(This Gambler didn't get any of the Bonuses) and lost their money. The Slot turned blank(The screen itself didn't crack or anything, it just turned blank and had an "Error," message after the frustrated punches). Long ago, one night, at the El Cortel my best pal and I were getting blackout drunk.
He was playing some full pay dollar game.
At that time they had a bunch of full pay games.
This is before Dancer came in and helped destroy the place.
Anyways... I play some dollar double deuce game or something like that.
It wasn't Full Pay but I didn't care because I didn't want to move from my pal who was the professional.
He had just beat the dice game for 17k prior the night before and I borrowed 8k from him.
This is before I really knew anything about Video Poker.
So I play about 10 to 15 minutes and his girlfriend is on her way over to bring me the strategy.
I hit a Royal for 4k just as she was arriving.
We joked that I didn't need it anymore lol.
So I get paid and give my buddy 4k back on the 8k loan.
The cocktail girl isn't coming fast enough so I head over to the bar which is only a hop, skip and jump away.
It's the bar that was by the Coffee Shop and Keno.
We were in the high limit area next to the Cage at the time.
So as I'm waiting for our drinks I start playing dollar 8/5 bonus poker.
You know so I don't have to pay for these drinks.
I don't have my card and ask the guy next to me if he has one so he can earn some points.
lol a few hands after I put his card in I hit another 4k Royal.
So I'm drunk, tipping well to the floor and they know me anyways.
I head back to the Joker Game that my pal is getting crushed on lol.
Pay him back another 4k and it is Marker Down.
We get into some debate about caring about this or that.
I get all Fake Upset and punch the very thin upper glass on the Double Deuce Machine that I hit the first 4k Royal on.
It shatters all to hell lol.
Of course the two Slot Managers are at the Employee Cage Window and I tell them don't worry I'll pay for it if I have to.
They tell me not to worry and we leave as I basically ruined the party.
Not sure what gambling venture we moved onto next because like I say... blackout drunk lol.
Anyways... that's my story of punching machines.
The only other time I did the same sort of thing was at the Stardust on the 4700 Full Pay Triple Play Nickel Joker Machines.
I cracked the shit out of the top glass.
That glass was much thicker.

I was chastised by a security guard for palming the side of a slot. Often the doors don't fully shut when they have to open a slot for whatever reason and the machine freezes at the slightest shake until a slot tech comes and I'd watched them many times bump the latch side of the door with their palms and the machine automatically clears up. So I thought to save them a trip and a security officer got upset and wanted to know what I was bumping the machine for and in a sarcastic tone. I was waiting to say I told you so when the slot tech showed,but unlucky for me it was a computer reset and I ended up eating crow for 30 minutes.
