Thread: Red Rock

  1. #1
Hello, I would like some help or advice about a problem I’m having with Red Rock.
I am a retired older gentleman with a couple of health issues that made it necessary to hunker down for the past year. Got our shots and went back to playing VP at the Red Rock in March.
Before this year I had played VP at the red rock for many years, have president status, some years chairman. I play a statistical loosing game (three-line DDB 9-6) but that’s ok I’m playing for fun. My play is 97% to 98% correct most nights but still not close to 100%. (thank you Bob D)
Between March and April 5th, I had an incredible lucky streak with two royals and four Aces five times. Along with a few smaller jackpots I estimate I’ve cleared 12 to 14K.
Then Red Rock made the decision that I receive no more monthly mailers. What? I asked the slot club manager if this was truly the case so he looked up my players card and said “well you have been winning a lot.” I went kind of brain freeze after that, but I think he said “at least they are letting you play”. What?
I said to him I’m playing a 98% loosing game; I am a small-time player and not even close to playing at a pro level play. I will lose money in the long run because of the math…why then are they doing this? I would think casinos would want thousands of players like me. He said nothing, shrug his shoulders.
The Red Rock is very close and convenient for me. I do not look forward driving to a casino further away, but I think that’s my only option. I would appreciate the forum members thoughts on what I should do. Many of you have been at this lot longer than me.
    …. thanks much

Are you sure you were "no mailed" ONLY because you're ahead by 14k over two months?

As a Vegas local I know ALL casinos have downgraded or stopped mailers since Covid.

Indeed 14K sounds ridiculously small to do this to a customer.

If you include your mailers and comps would that put you over 100% in EV? You can talk to a host, but I doubt that will change anything, perhaps a 5% chance. Casinos should be begging for -EV players, -EV players should not be begging to play at casinos that don't want them. There are lots of casinos in Vegas, they may not be as nice or as convenient, but Why not just play at a location that gives you better odds and be a +EV player as that would make up for the inconvenience?

This thread is the perfect example of idiotic casino management that now exists. Real casino guys running casinos 20 years ago would be shaking their heads at how these 'college educated' boys now running casinos think.

Just curious thought to the OP. Do you only or mostly play on multiplier days? They like to interpret that as an advantage player. Add in a couple big wins and it re-inforces their idoitic conclusions.
Dan Druff: "there's no question that MDawg has been an obnoxious braggart, and has rubbed a ton of people the wrong way. There's something missing from his stories. Either they're fabricated, grossly exaggerated, or largely incomplete".

Just about every day is a multiplier day with Station Casinos. They have 10X point days twice a week and 6X multipliers on several other days.

Before Covid there were reports in the Las Vegas Review Journal about how local casinos were watching for players who only play on multiplier days. But with just about every day a multiplier day (I think Saturday is the only day without multipliers) this has become a moot issue.

I'd still like to know if there were any other issues?

Nobody thinks this thread is a straight set up to expose AndrewG?

Maybe for you Andrew. I get a 10x multiplier on Sundays and that is it. Way down from pre-covid. My play has dropped and status is currently only presidential.

    Thursdays is 10X.

    See https://www.stationcasinos.com/play/...ltiplier-days/

Mr Kewlj you do know that you must swipe your card at a kiosk to get the multipliers? Yes, you can swipe after your play. But the swipe must be on the promotion day. Honestly I dont know when the promotion day starts and ends. I know some casinos start it at 3am and some at 6am, and some at midnight.

Is that a Seniors thing Andrew? I am not a senior. Also looks like it says for "invited guests".

No matter, I am not playing much machines anyway right now. Focusing on blackjack and Stations gives zero points for blackjack, so I don't play rated.

Just found it odd that you said "nearly everyday" when I get 1 day a week.

Mr Kewlj drive by Red Rock and at the main entrance on Charleston there's a big electronic sign that promotes 10X multipliers on Thursdays and Sundays for "locals." I guess locals are the invited guests. I don't know about offers for Seniors but isn't there a seniors day with restaurant discounts?

The 6X multipliers are on other days. You must swipe at a kiosk.

I dont know of any casino anywhere that gives cash back points for table play.

If I am in the area I will take a look on a Thursday. I have just been going by my mailer, which says Sunday only.

When my partner was alive (he was a senior), Senior day was Wednesday for food and some sort of multiplier. I think they may have split that up now, 1/2 price food one day, the senior multiplier another, but don't really know and have no reason to look into it.

No... Thread seems like Legitimate questions to me. I never thought of Andrewg in this thread until you mentioned it. So, I would say no one except you thinks/thought this was a straight set up to expose Andrewg..

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!

I do play the two (10X points) Thur and Sun but I play (did play I should say, many other days of the week). I just don't understand their thinking.

My wife got her mailer, mine was missing so that's when I asked about it.

I just want update my post. Found a higher up to talk to and got the correct information. Like most of you said it was NOT my wins (he kinda chuckled with that one) it was a covid related mailing cycle. Red Rock people went out their way to make sure I was happy and understood what was going on. Kudos to them. Thanks to everyone
