You took my comment wrong. I’ve been here long enough to peg you as an asshole. No different than MaxPad, Kewlj, and a few others. It became obvious being an asshole is a requirement to become a club member.

With that being said, I was just pointing out with my personal opinion that now as even more time went by, your stupidity level was exposed even further. Leading me to conclude “you actually are a bigger asshole than I predicted.”

You and Maxpad could claim how proud you both are all you want for taking on home improvements as a hobby. It looks like a lot of time went by with your Home Depo improvements and things are not going as planned. When you’re dumb enough to think what you guys are posting is impressive is what makes it sad. The impression is not good. The use of the fallback word "hobby" is the key here. No one in their right mind has a "hobby" of tearing a bathroom apart and then remodeling it. They only do it because they can't spend or come up with the money it takes to have a licensed contractor do the work professionally. Calling it a hobby is only for self-worth and feel-good encouragements. And everybody who has even been in that position knows it.

These people who anonymously claim to be outsmarting and continuously beating LV casinos by counting cards and hitting buttons with impunity occasionally do show their real hands--albeit unintentionally. Such is the case right here. One must have to have a whole lotta shithouse problems, insufficient finances, and/or a seriously nagging wife to be doing something a better man would just simply hire professionals to do.

It isn't a hobby for me.
I come from a family of tradesmen.
I get these big ideas in my head that I can do it better, faster and cheaper.
It usually turns out bad and I end up calling in a professional.
These days, YouTube makes things a bit worse since they have so much information and make it look easy.
Many contractors have a 3 month or longer wait list currently.
I've always enjoyed manual labor and building things.
I wanted to try and if things went poorly I would just call in the professionals.
I'm mentally ill though.

You must have had a real bad experience when you tried remodeling one of your campers. This is like trying to say people shouldn't cut their own lawn or clean their house if they can pay for it. I will probably have about a 120 hours in this by the time it is done. True that I could make much more than a remodel cost if I spent that time in a casino. But I would rather do my own work. Because then I get it my way on my own terms. I have always leaned toward self sufficiency.

Most people hire contractors because they can't do it themself. Or if they can, they can't get a professional result. Since I don't have that problem I do my own stuff. I have written about my background before. So it is not like I am average when it comes to fabricating just about anything.

Every single home I have ever owned I have done at least a couple projects on. The only thing I hire out is roofing due to the physical demands and whenever I need countertops I will have the fabricating shop install. Also carpet, I can't stand messing around with carpet.

Last time I do not give a shit about the bathroom posts as a home improvement project as it is a contribution to the forum as per the title of the thread.

My contribution in the thread is letting the owner of the site know that he is useless, which I feel is also just as worthy as yours. My problems have to do with KJ's personal insults and accusations against me, not bathroom remodeling but I would only call you rude not ignorant.
