I know you pride yourself on your ability to fly under the radar; do you use a player's card when you play?

If not, that is if you think that would be bad because the casino can thereby ID you, I saw a post at WoV that Borgata in AC and perhaps others now say that a player can only bet minimum, without increase, if they've no player's card.

I play unrated the majority of time MisterV. The policy at Borgata has been in effect for several years now. I haven't seen it anywhere else, certainly not in Las Vegas, and hopefully it wont spread.

Add on: Also, MisterV, there is something a player can do to offset, if he is forced to play rated, or should such policies as the one being discussed spread and become more commonplace. And that is ratholing. I don't like to talk about this too much because I don't want to encourage anyone to do so. Most people do it wrong and clumisly and it is overly obvious.

All a player need do is rathole a little bit. Take my level of play at my short sessions. I have never figured it out but I probably average about $50 in EV per session, meaning over the long haul $50 win per session. I am guestimating that because I shoot for $300 EV per day and I usually play 3-5 casinos and 4-7 sessions.

So let's say I rathole 2 green chips during the course of my session. Over the long run, I go from a winner (average) to an even player. Every winning session will look $50 lighter, every losing session $50 heavier. and when you add it all up, as they can if you are playing rated, you will look like a break even player instead of a winning player.

Most player try to offset everything from that session, making a $400 winning session look even by ratholing $400. guarantee THAT will be noticed. Just 1 or 2 chips is all you need to do, to make your longterm win results "disappear". And that can be easily done without being noticed.
