Thread: What is your favorite Las Vegas Casino? Past or Present? :D

I read Rob’s post and thought the exact same thing before reading your post. And as someone who has had many issues with the nonsense Tasha posts, I will give her all the credit for this thread.

And as someone who has met, and actually likes Rob (the person, in person), I don’t understand why he posted what he did. That said, I’ve done more than my share of picking fights with nonsense. Yet I don’t get why he posted what he did.

As for Todd, you get what you get with him and I have benefited from it. There is no perfect forum so it is what is. I’ll take what Dan does most days and still appreciate what he allows here. But yea, it sucks on a thread of good stuff we had going on here.

As for what Rob posted, I loved the brewery on site at the CB. And I enjoyed the walkway around on the casino on the river. I had 5 beers there along with one of the biggest appetizers trays ever. The beers were “What the Puck” Pale Ale, “Wildcard Hefe”, “Watermelon Hefe”, “Bodacious Blueberry” and “Rehab Red”, their only IPA offering at the time.

This was the tray the appetizer was served on. A mix of wings, stix, skins and more.

And a few more photos from the CB and Pints Brewery. Along with one of the bar on the back where you could sit outside and enjoy a drink on the river. With apologies to MCap for not being Vegas related.

Oh stop the bellyaching. This thread bleeds longing for the past. You didn't see the nostalgia in my post? Didn't mean to rub you the wrong way. If I did then I blew it, because I'm bigger than that.

As soon as I saw the table I instantly knew it was inside the CB Boiler Room Brewery (before they stupidly changed the name to Pints). They also had an excellent pizza to go with those beers.

Actually you did come across as a dick with your post Rob. But I appreciate the info that it was a brewery before Pints. I’m thinking it had to be one of few left from the late 80’s boom that collapsed in the late 90’s into the early 2000’s. Remember Pete’s Wicked Ale? I could write for hours about the bust years. Anyways here is a picture of a pizza you talked about from Pints. Which is the only first hand information I have from visits.

The old pictures are cool. Check out Historicaerials.com and check out the various views of Vegas over the years.

Redietz, I sent you a heartfelt response to your PM and it was immediately blocked. The message basically said your PM box was full....:/

Tasha you really outdid yourself starting this thread. Once in a lifetime situation that mcap recognized and congratulated you for something you did. Adding to that feat, him not sweating over thread misplacement, 2 in 1 EXTREMELY rare gem ! Could we be seeing a unicorn in the making ?.....Nah not gonna happen.

I have complimented Tasha on multiple occasions and the thread was properly placed. Let it go man, you are more obsessed with me being obsessed than I am about it.

Truthfully, the thread placement thing started as a bit ages ago after Monet got hot sucker about an off topic thread being moved by Dan and he was pointing out everything else in here is too. And then I just ran with it and it became my schtick.

It was a very unique combination post. Any sharpie would've wanted astronomical odds betting for that kind of post to come to fruition. Most wouldn't have touched that bet with a 10 foot pole, unless they wanted to torch the greenbacks they had in their pocket !

    I'm hungry already....

I hope they re-open that place. It would be a shame to tear it all down.

No offense, but that Pizza doesn't look at all that appetizing to me. I feel that the Pizza I bought from Pizza Hut looks better than that picture shown here....:/ Once again, no offense.

That pizza looks good for Laughlin. That place is a food desert. Nothing is very good there. If you want to lose weight go to Laughlin.

Thanks for the compliments! Thank you to all who have my my props for this thread!

I remember on another Website, someone saying something like,"Usually Nathan's Horse is the slowest Horse in the race, but once in a Black Moon, her Horse surprises the shit out of us and is VERY fast and ACTUALLY wins the race so to speak!

Boz, Z best was 1987. I went to Vegas from Juneau, Alaska. When I ran out of money I started looking for a job. Z best had just hit town. I was there the first day. Minkow hit the town with high powered TV ads. I was getting penciled on my work. The first paycheck was on Bank of Beverly Hills so I couldn’t go to a local bank and cash it. There were plenty of paycheck promotions but the casinos wouldn’t take his paychecks. I quit. I talked a bartender into cashing the check and apparently it cleared. But about two weeks later the company folded and everyone left got stiffed for their wages.
