Thread: Resorts World rooms under $60

Too many rooms? Decreased demand with Covid? Mask mandates making people have 2nd thoughts on visiting? Or early signs of problems with the place?

No clue, but this can’t be a good sign, even with adding the resort fee on. Hopefully Vegas doesn’t go back to where it was last year packed with CA thugs. Then again, Senile Joe hasn’t talked about more free stimulus money….yet.

Oh, now that COVID is here to stay you are going to love Joe’s next trillion dollar vaccine booster stockpile, rapid testing, revamping (aka more funding) CDC and FDA bill I bet.

Glad I saw this once we finished our drive. I predicted the place wasn't gonna make it after the initial hype and after we stayed there. It's not gonna attract locals like kew who can't afford the parking fees, and customers like me will not go back. It's nothing but a massive and impressive novelty, and novelties don't last long.

Those parking fees must have been higher than your camper spot over on Boulder Hwy. They really got to you.....lol

I have a problem with a casino charging me to park my car on their property so that I may gamble.

It's bad enough that the games are negative expectation, but with resort fees and parking fees I see no reason to patronize their properties when there are other options available for free.

Of course some may say it's sort of like a tax you have to pay to have access to the glitz of the strip: I say ... meh ...

If you are going to Resorts World, just park in the back of Circus Circus parking lot close to industrial (I think that's what that road is back there)and walk over

Other than entering casinos in Northtown, I never seen anything like it.

I think they made a big mistake opening without a lot of features which bring people in.

    No nightclub.

    No shows.

No gimmick which is interesting on property (think Bellagio with the chandelier and garden).

Just a big, bland casino and hotel, which is located in a not-so-great area of town, right across from a McDonald's and Denny's. Not conducive to repeat visits.

Also note that it's really just Resorts World struggling. I checked the other day, and the out-the-door price for Resorts World this week was the same as it was at Paris. This is after resort fees and taxes at both properties, as listed on Expedia.

    Ouch.

Less than $60 for a Resorts Hotel Room, that DOES seem scarily cheap. I paid more per night for a Stay at Days Inn in 2011. Days Inn, which is more of a Motel than a Hotel should cost LESS than a Resorts Hotel Room, not MORE...

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!

Even the fountains at Bellagio make it a memorable place.

Oh, but they do have an indoor feature...

    LOL!!!

I've been to that hidden bar. Except it wasn't so hidden... a 90 minute wait!

I was able to get in quickly despite that (someone else pulled some shenanigans, and I followed them), but it was nothing exciting. Just a small bar/lounge hidden behind a snack shop.

Terms of the promotion, though they aren’t 100% clear. It sounds as if you must be invited, which sounds like for people already members there? Or they bought some lists. Lots of questions with the terms.

Genting just seems like their effort is a bit half-baked and they're just sorta just winging it with things they'd like to see work (this speakeasy bar, the giant orb thingy). Disney they ain't. Kinda reminds me a bit of Revel when it opened in Atlantic City Like, the original owners HAD to know the market for a new 2 billion dollar casino wasn't there in poor old AC and they failed spectacularly.

Weren't they originally trying to become sort of a "niche" casino and attract Asians?

    How's that working out?

    They have a Chinese restaurant....lol

Whoever designed the place should never work another project. There is no theme except lame.

I never understood why huge projects like this don't hire some Vegas-savvy consultants to give their opinion, before opening to the public.

A lot of this fail could be avoided.

I'm still pretty shocked they didn't buy up nearby land, so you don't see a McDonald's and Denny's right there, and some of the unsavory local elements milling around those places.
