Yesterday, which was a Saturday during the holiday weekend, I payed 3 sessions on the strip late afternoon, early evening before attending the BYU-Arizona football game at Aligent stadium, more to check out the stadium than the game, but it was fun and a good game. The stadium is magnificent BTW. Probably way too nice for the Raider fans that will attend, especially those "crazies" traveling from Oakland.
I hope they don't destroy the stadium before my next visit end of October for the Eagles game.
So my 3 sessions prior to the game at 3 different strip properties were uneventful. One good winning session, one big losing session and one basically even (a very small loss) Basically even for the day (technically a very small loss). But it was enough that I can say, I didn't feel anything was rigged. Seemed like a very fair and typical game. Will be playing twice more during the holiday weekend, at least once on the strip. I don't know if I will report results, but I feel very comfortable that there is no reason not to play the strip or play at all during a holiday weekend. It is a chance for me to bump up my stakes.
So here is an unrelated observation:. While playing, there were players in BYU "garb" at 2 of my 3 tables played, plus I noticed other playing in the casinos. BYU fans always travel well and are well represented when one of their teams is playing in Vegas, so nothing unusual about that. But I found myself wondering....BYU is a Mormon school and isn't gambling against Mormon rules or beliefs?
