I guarantee whether or not it's a holiday weekend has nothing to do with whether ASMs are rigged or not. You're probably just misplaying when you're on tilt due to superstition.

The stadium is magnificent BTW. Probably way too nice for the Raider fans that will attend, especially those "crazies" traveling from Oakland. I hope they don't destroy the stadium before my next visit end of October for the Eagles game.

So my 3 sessions prior to the game at 3 different strip properties were uneventful. One good winning session, one big losing session and one basically even (a very small loss) Basically even for the day (technically a very small loss). But it was enough that I can say, I didn't feel anything was rigged. Seemed like a very fair and typical game. Will be playing twice more during the holiday weekend, at least once on the strip. I don't know if I will report results, but I feel very comfortable that there is no reason not to play the strip or play at all during a holiday weekend. It is a chance for me to bump up my stakes.

So here is an unrelated observation:. While playing, there were players in BYU "garb" at 2 of my 3 tables played, plus I noticed other playing in the casinos. BYU fans always travel well and are well represented when one of their teams is playing in Vegas, so nothing unusual about that. But I found myself wondering....BYU is a Mormon school and isn't gambling against Mormon rules or beliefs?
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. There's an old joke about Mormons that goes like this: How many Mormons should you carry with you on a fishing trip? The answer is at least two. If carry only one he'll drink all your beer and smoke all your cigarettes.

It's the same dynamic we see with "dry counties:" next to the "dry" county line there's always stores offering alcohol for sale in the adjoining county, catering to those coming from the "dry" one.

It really is impossible to legislate morality.
Mormons that have gone astray are called "Jack Mormons." And while its against Mormon belief to gamble it's quite okay for them to work in a casino. Mormons ran Howard Hughes casino empire. The casino employee's in Mesquite used to be mostly mormons that lived in St. George, Utah.

I dunno, the data is pretty compelling.

Mormons have a very long history in Las Vegas: see "Old Mormon Fort."

Mormon money helped build the casinos, too: Mormon banker E. Parry Thomas bankrolled them when nobody else would, and made a lot of money.

He also jump-started the career of that Las Vegas mogul, Steve Wynn: I always wondered "Why?" he took Wynn under his wing and spoon-fed him deals and Mormon money.

Also made the loan to Bill Bennett and William Pennington for 25 mil to buy Circus Circus when their combined assets only totaled 1.5 mil...they then parlayed that into Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Although I don’t know if either was around for Mandalay Bay

Back in its heyday Circus Circus was perhaps the most profitable casino on the strip.

Most folks know nothing about Bennett and Pennignton; read "Super Casino" if curious.

Zenking will never accept he is not self-aware when there are holidays as the most likely reason by now. I suspect the most likely reason beyond him being right is he is oblivious to the mental mistakes he is making and is in complete denial of. He I allege cannot see and cannot remember and he remembers what he thinks he remembers. The casino can at times be a terrorizing place where the mind doesn't sometimes function properly under stress. People can sometimes not remember even being there at a casino.

This pretty much sounds right. I mean it should be sorta obvious to anyone that what Zenking does and what he remembers himself doing are very likely 2 different things. Dude is too mental to have any sort of significant and valuable self-introspection. It is all some external forces, never himself and he does this publicly. There is almost 0 chance his own introspection is very valid unfortunately.

But damn fuck they're some great rants.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

As he claims to be the GOAT, and as he seems to fancy himself the secret king of the world, it is tough for mere mortals like us to actually relate to a being of such self-proclaimed magnificence.

    Hard drugs would probably help.

Isn't the Lents neighborhood part of Portland?

Ah, felony flats: where hope goes to die.

I don't know, Columbus day weekend, Martin Luther King weekend and President's day weekend all seem to be a little different than say, Labor Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend. With the 3 mentioned first, almost all the additional traffic from that of a normal weekend, comes from people driving in from California. I think a check of air traffic would show only a minor increase if any from normal weekends. But Labor day and Memorial day while drawing that California drive in traffic, also seems to draw more air traffic in people from say the midwest and even east coast.

I don't know why as it is the same 3 day weekend.

Personally, I started playing the strip at least one weekend night each week, in July when masks were mandated again, as I knew I could play higher limits than I normally do. In July the strip on a Saturday night seemed like old times (pre-covid). By August, as covid numbers began to climb again, it was less crowded. Labor Day seemed less like a holiday weekend and more like a regular weekend as far as crowds. I didn't play last weekend and have friends coming to town for the Life is Beautiful festival downtown this weekend, so won't be playing. I may give strip play at higher limits a shot on Columbus day weekend and see how crowded it is, but I think my plan of playing weekends on the strip with crowded conditions and the mask mandate might be about over for the moment. Not crowded enough to get done what I am trying to get done.

As for Zenking and what he is doing on holiday weekends....who knows?!?! What he should do is take the holiday weekends off, relax, have a cookout with friends, almost anything but play blackjack, as he is just not of the right mindset to do so on holiday weekends right now. But what do I know?
