Yesterday morning, I was up early, to squeeze in a few rare morning sessions of blackjack before retiring for the weekend. Even fairly early on a Saturday Morning, it became obvious to me that Vegas was crowded for this weekend in ways that I hadn't anticipated. Was it the Fury-Wilder3 fight? I don't know, I just failed to see that as one of the really big fight type draws. Raiders have a home game. Yeah that brings a few extra weekend people from southern California and possibly wherever the visiting team in from, Chicago in this case and Bears fans are one of those teams that do travel well.
Anyway, whatever the reason, I had to adjust and get out for a second unplanned session on Saturday evening/night. It was indeed very crowded on the strip. Worth it though. Good solid +EV busy weekend opportunity that have been fairly plentiful from mid summer on. And masks are an added "blessing", as far as longevity. There are a lot of negatives about this year and last but the wearing of masks at the blackjack tables has not been one for me. But I suspect that little benefit will be gone in the not too distant future and we will fondly remember when we got to wear masks to at least partially hide our identity. Good old 2021!
