It was a thing of beauty, requiring a cross-field 20-yard kick to a particular area that App State knew would be vacated a count early. And finally, I don't think Coastal's defensive starters had played nearly this many significant snaps in a game. It looked like App State was much better conditioned down the stretch.
I have a bunch going tonight that I will lay out later. I took all college faves, as I reported earlier, except I did take a stab at the NFL underdog on Tuesday. I realize that NFL games almost never middle (and that therefore any attempt is a bad idea), but understanding Mayfield's injury, I was pretty sure no matter how much Mayfield said it was his decision and that he was playing...he wasn't playing. So taking Denver +4 knowing the line was likely to nosedive was the easy part. Now we wait for the line to bottom out. It's actually a bit tricky, as Bridgewater is also banged up and not a lock to play. But Drew Lock can play, so we'll see where the line goes.
