I don't believe legality is the threshold for liability.

Defamation laws allow publishers to be held liable for the things they publish.
Once a platform's administrator moderates or edits users’ posts they became a publisher,
since they were tacitly saying they approved of anything that didn’t get removed or edited through moderation.

Come on, you KNOW V is an attorney. He specializes in one specific area, divorce and like any good attorney, always states that such and such an area is not his expertise before giving his opinion. You are just giving him a hard time right?

Absolutely not. At least here in Nevada, casinos can flat-bet, shuffle up, backoff or ban any player at any time and they don't have to know your identity or reveal that they know it. They don't even have to give a reason.....and they usually don't. If you press they will say something very vague, like you are to good for us. I have had at least 2 dozen backoffs, probably closer to 30 now and not once has anyone uttered the words advantage play or card counter or anything like that.

edit: also not once has anyone called me by name or indicated they knew my name or identity.

Dan Druff: "there's no question that MDawg has been an obnoxious braggart, and has rubbed a ton of people the wrong way. There's something missing from his stories. Either they're fabricated, grossly exaggerated, or largely incomplete".

More barking at the vacuum! I'll bet that vacuum cleaner is terrified of you by now.

Yes, I am familiar with OSN.

Yes, I can accept that casinos have photos of players regardless of playing rated or unrated.

But my question was more of a "connect the dots" sort of thing: they might have your photo on file in their database but with no name attached to it.

If you're doxxed, the only "new" info would be that "KJ's real name is ...."

OK, so the casinos / OSN has a picture of you without a name, and then via doxxing they could get your name but without your picture: how would they connect the two to then have your photo and name linked?

I have to assume the pit critters don't know you as "KJ?"
    What, Me Worry?

Yeah, you should know about OSN being where YOU live. I forgot where you live for a second.

I don't know the answer to all your questions V. I don't know how they link different info up, but they can and do. I once saw an entry in OSN of a player that I knew from another forum that had a face picture, a picture of his car and license plate number and a picture of his driver's license. The head shot was taken at the cage. They followed him remotely to his vehicle and took those pictures. How did they get a picture of ID? I am pretty sure he didn't hand it to them and say here take a pic of my ID.

They have ways of linking different info. It is a formattable foe that AP's and particularly card counters/table game AP's face. The database companies even employ people scouting these kinds of forums for info. Not saying a 20 active member forum like VCT, but on the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if someone occasionally reads through posts here. THAT is their business.

Do any casinos know your identity?

Have they employed countermeasures because they know your name?

Your short changing this place. If you factor in a few of the newbies like Unjon and the part-timers like "Advantageplay" " Wontpayontuesday" and last but not least " Jdaewoo" etc. This place is more like 30 active members. Your always underestimating VCT Kew.

Douchedawg portrays himself as Perry Mason with a gamblin' jones: let him advise MGM whether it's libel or not (psssst ... it ain't).

Now if KJ were to follow through, acquire confidential info from MGM and post it online that would most certainly be actionable, both by douchedawg and perhaps the casino.

Tread lightly, KJ: sometimes a set of big balls just weighs you down and makes you sink in quicksand.

And this is why, despite unJon's protestations, I think kewlJ did the right thing with what my entrepreneurial friends would call "information brokerage." He let MDawg know he had the gun, but he gave MDawg time to either jump off the cliff himself or wait until he was shot. MDawg jumped of his own volition.

As to coach, here's what I love about him:

    1) Shackleford talks MDawg into "confessing" due to kewlJ's leverage. Shackleford lives in Las Vegas and has worked for casinos. He knows how things work.
    2) MDawg spends half the year, evidently, hanging in comped LV suites. He self-confesses rather than have the music blaring in his ears. He presumably knows how things work.
    3) KewlJ lives and works in Las Vegas, and has for more than a decade. He presumably knows how things work.
    4) Coach spends 7-10 days in Las Vegas each year and has access to google. He has unilaterally decided he knows how things work.

Now that's Dunning-Kruger, as unJon says, front and center.
I had mentioned early on that people could easily end up identifying MDawg through his trip reports via casino personnel. I have come to realize long ago that the only true reason MDawg was concerned about his real identity becoming public was the fact that his stories could be debunked with that information.

I see no reason to answer such questions from you. I have always tried to be open and share what I do, how I do it and what my thoughts are, but just see no reason to from a guy who has proven he is out to harm me at every turn. You have lost that privilege and YES, it is a privilege.
