    What do you guys use to keep track of income and expenses APing? Excel or some other type of software?

    I use the QuickBooks knockoff NoBooks....ask your accountant...

    I use Gum Bands.

    APing has no need to keep track of expenses unless they're living on the edge and trying to keep from falling over, or they're filing as a professional gambler.

    For Schedule C filers, all expenses are required to be supported in an IRS audit. So whether you choose some slick digital program or simply use a the pencil & paper method to record expenditures real-time, the only important thing is to get them right.
