Thread: Needing an ambulance in Las Vegas, might be a gamble.

I wanted Druff to see this as one day, he'll probably call 911 for an ambulance while visiting. I dont know if the cities and county are adding more units as well. The EMS dynamics and politics in Las Vegas are changing...

Thought you might be interested to know AMR Las Vegas just lost a large part of its response area because of response times. And now they are pouting about it to their staff as they force mandatory over time and do nothing to raise wages... 11.50 (emt) 12.95 (AMET) 15.00 (Medic)

Amr and Medic west accounted for 88% of Las Vegas EMS up until today. When the Clark County Comissioners office reduced them to 66%. Each having only 33% of the city now. And they blame it all on a pilot program rather than them being 70 Medics down and losing Medics 2 and sometimes 3 to every 1 they can hire. It's enjoyable to watch it all fall apart for them.

AMR response time is probably bad because they wreck before they get to the call. They are the most irresponsible drivers I have ever seen. They also just arbitrarily light up and run lights to get to their lunch spots. The county should get rid of them entirely....RIP
FraudJ's word is worth less than the prop cash in Singer's safe...RIP

You have got to be fucking kidding me. They are paying EMT’s and medics less than you can make working at McDonalds or Starbucks? No shit they can’t hire anyone.

If I need an ambulance and I'm in LV I will just post on VCT and I'm sure one of you nice people will come to my aid.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

AMR is a dumpster fire they’ve been losing transports here in Phoenix Metro for awhile. They bought out Southwest Ambulance and proceeded to lose the transport contracts with Gilbert AZ. Lost a huge chunk of Mesa AZ as both cities have either brought or are bringing transports into the Fire/EMS agencies within the Cities. Scottsdale AZ went with Maricopa Ambulance when the 911 contract was up for bid (Maricopa is owned by the former owners of SW Ambulance).

In summary there’s a reason why they call AMR short for Assholes Morons and Rejects.

Yep that’s a chronic issue with AMR and sadly a lot of for profit 3rd party EMS

nice to know that the people who my life might depend on after a car wreck make less than a cashier at fucking Buc'ees (and have since before the pandemic)

Note about this thread, it was about the private AMR provider ONLY, not the local government service providers.

Hopefully these are improving. The upside is that are union, so I assume they are working on it. Also, if youre on Facebook, youll see the hiring ads with the new sign on bonuses.
