Yea, the ones still left outside Reno in Lyon county are. After Hof died some never reopened including the Alien Cathouse he had near Area 51. Also his restaurant and bar he had near the Bunny Ranch is closed and for sale. I drive out that way to Virginia City occasionally and the For Sale signs along with the signs for the open ones are everywhere. If I was younger and had any interest in working again I might consider buying the bar, lol. But I can’t afford a divorce at this point.

But brothels are still only allowed in certain parts of Nevada.

Makes no sense: legalize brothels nation wide.

I was at Mustang Ranch a few times in its last days before they closed it for good. When you jumped in a cab in Reno to Mustang the cab driver would tell the dispatcher "Exit 22." That was the exit off I-80 where Mustang was located. They had a lounge in back for the cab drivers.

This one cab driver gave me a big clue on how to negotiate with the hookers. There was no negotiating with hookers at the bar. They didn't want the hookers undercutting each other. You had to go to the hookers room to negotiate with her. In those days they usually opened it up with $300 or $400 and I would get them off their price by maybe 30% or so.

So this one cab driver told me about a sign in the back that said "You Will Be Terminated For Walking A Minimum." I asked him what it meant. He said the house has a minimum price and if thats all you have to offer the hooker has to take it she will be fired. I asked him what the minimum was. He said it was $100. That little bit of knowledge saved me a lot of money.

That and marijuana. I'm not generally a fan of new taxes, but given the Federal Deficit as well as our National debt, impose a Federal tax on both. They've already set a precedent with being able to do that by taxing tobacco.

Congrats on your good year Midwest Player. I like to hear how others have done, especially in these trying times.

I had a real nice year. I was ahead of expectation, not a lot but some, all year long, which is a nice way to play and also very welcome after being way below expectation last year. Towards the end of the year, I had an unusual play (for me) that bumped me up significantly above expectation. I am not going to go into further details and numbers as I have in the past as that seems to really bother some fellow AP's. So I will leave it at that. Thanks for your interest and best wishes for a safe, healthy and profitable 2022.
