Silly nonsense. The machines are random. Secondary programming as you describe is specifically disallowed in the regulations if you took the time to understand them. Instead you believe a dufus who has clearly demonstrated he has no understanding of VP or math. Living proof there's one born every minute.

More insults--a classic result of frustration, conflict and anger brought about thru one's own fault.

If you did your homework instead of always playing make believe, you'd understand the casino business much better. Machines are not completely random by regulation, and even if they were, no LV casino would ever be shut down, as you've always claimed in the past, if they manipulated any machine. Total nonsense. It would take away countless jobs and tax revenues and have an unreal political effect.

    Wise up.

If those machines are back at the Palms, I'm happy. Half my play the last five years or so was on the FPDW before they removed them about a year ago, I think.

For them to reverse themselves and reinstate the machines, they must have struggled -- Stations has had better machines and better comp rates the last year.

Yup, here we see the dufus claiming fortune 500 companies willingly break the law all the while being watched by the govt. This massive conspiracy of thousands of people goes undetected for decades. These folks are probably being controlled by demons from the nether world.

The only real question is how anyone could write such nonsense or how anyone could believe it. Don't let your tin foil hat get too far away, dufus.

Rob, I'm not sure if this is a new claim of yours or if you just used a different phrasing here. Are you in fact saying that "machines are not completely random by regulation" meaning that there is a regulation that specifically says machines are not completely random? If so, what is that regulation? Please cite or copy and paste the regulation text here. If so, this would be new to me.

Now, if there is no such regulation but you are just phrasing your long time claim differently, please tell us that. Because right now I have all kinds of goose bumps from my anticipation that you found something to finally prove your position.

Get the popcorn. This should be interesting. How will the dufus back out of this?

PS. I've read the regulations. The requirements are perfectly clear.

No Alan, this is not new. It is part of what I wrote here about my conversation with the IGT software engineer and subsequently followed up with an agent in the NGC. I was told that the regs we see online are published in agreement with the manufacturers, the state, and the NGC, but there are other regs that remain confidential to those parties and are not allowed to be publicly viewed. One part has to do with tolerance levels; another defines "random" in looser terms than what the Internet or released hard copy reader would expect, and still others that I did not receive definition on. I trust the source, mainly because he was absolutely correct on the since verified hot/cold cycles and because of my confirmed findings regarding the fifth card flipover testing.

And it all makes sense too. Casinos pay the manufacturers to keep leasing the machines. The NGC is paid by the state. The state collects tax revenue from the casinos. Why wouldnt't the gaming business do everything possible and fair to generate the most consumer dollars possible? Of course, people like arci who never dig past the first level if they think that suffices, won't hear of this because it just doesn't fit their model. But remember what I told you about people like him when they worked at a major corporation. We locked the geeks and nerds up in their own room to run the numbers and write the code, always keeping them away from the visiting customers so they couldnt't inadvertently give away trade secrets or otherwise corrupt the opportunity. I used to be a skeptic too until I drank with this engineer on an airplane over the Pacific, and we're still friends to this day.

Does Nevada have a Freedom of Information law? If such documents exist wouldn't we be able to see them?

edited to add: Yes, Nevada has an Open Records Law. If the agreement exists on paper, Rob, you can get it. I'm going to make a call, and write the appropriate letter. Rob, I will need some specific info for the request: what would you suggest that I would be looking for? I have an idea, but perhaps there are some "keywords" that will help them find this "deal" for me?

Alan, don't waste your time. The claim that a state is hiding some kind of gambling regulation is totally hysterical. I wonder how the companies and casinos comply to secret regulations? Oh wait, they are in on it as well and not a single person has mentioned this secret regulation in 50+ years. Not even when they retire, leave the company, or die. Not a single state employee has let it out either. But, but (and this is even funnier), some random engineer riding on an airplane had no problem telling a complete stranger.

Only a complete dufus would make such an idiotic claim. Excuse me while I wipe the tears from my eyes. I just can't stop laughing.

Whew, that's better. Of course, the dufus backed himself into a corner and it was obvious he would have to invent something to cover his first lie. Well, here it is in all it's ridiculous glory.

It's also humorous the dufus included many of his other inventions in the same comment.

Da plane ... da plane ... arriving soon at your local Pahrump fantasy trailer.

Arci, if you're laughing then you ought to thank me for bringing that kind of reaction into such a dismal environment. The only other time I can envision similar responses is when you're giddy as you sneak out to go to the Indian casinos. I truly can see the tears under your eyes. Remember who's got great big smiles on their faces while thoroughly enjoying life these days, my friend.....and who's reduced to frustrated namecalling and a boxed-in existence.

T minus less than a week. That's how much longer before we start to head up to the Oregon Coast for two months, then thru other points north away from the heat until early October--and all at 4.5 mpg, in a fuel guzzler only an oil executive could love. As I said, travel, dining, hiking, dancing, visiting a few friends, and enjoying each other's company as we breathe in deep - happy to have realized what it took to stay healthy and wise. So what's YOUR summer stacking up like, arci?

Alan, I'm not a FOIA expert, but I imagine if you just tell them what you'd like in your request it should do fine. Not sure you'll get it though since it's asking for confidential information. Does the FOIA cover that? I've always thought it was to see info that isn't protected by confidentiality agreements that for some reason has been wrongly withheld or restricted.

Keep on repeating it ... maybe in time you'll even convince yourself. One thing I've learned over the years. When a person tries to make a big deal about something fairly simple you know there's some hidden problems.

Looking pretty good actually. My wife appears to be improving daily after a couple of changes in her medications. She's back using the walker and eating better than she has in a couple of years.

If this keeps up she may want to go gambling again in the near future.

    Glad you asked.

  13. #93
Make a big deal....hmmm (and by your irritation level I'd say I rubbed it in just about right!). You mean like using a thousand words to justify why you still need to go to casinos when you should be at home at your wife's bedside? But if you do bring her to another casino, she'll look right at home with a walker. And don't forget that oxygen gadget the old folks use!

I hope I have as much time to keep checking back here in the coming months. I look forward to reports on your wife's full recovery, along with all that "looking pretty good actually" fun you have coming your way like the walker and a casino visit....etc. ROTFLMAO!!

Rob, I was thinking about editing out your offensive comments. But then I said to myself... No, let Rob dig his own hole.

  15. #95
Either way's fine. I understand arci's lies are a culmination of the frustration from all the hits I've laid on him for all his silly lies, and he cannot stomach the decent life we have and can look forward to compared to what he's created up there. I simply help him bury himself time after time. And as much as he tries to avoid it, he can only hold back so long until he gives it away, which he did several times today. For that, I offer him this: !

C'mon guys. This has been discussed before. I, being an ole' country boy with a simple college degree, can understand the difference between simulated randomness and "actual" randomness. What the heck does it matter? You still can't run helter skelter playing and win either way if you don't have some sense about your playing. I won't bring this topic up again, I can see that.

I think that really sums it up nicely. You need some sense of what you're doing and a plan when you gamble. Well written, and well done slingshot.

I agree. A well thought out plan with the right bankroll and good money management (win/loss goals) is the only way to approach playing video poker successfully. When you see someone pounding away ultra-fast or playing two machines at a time, you're watching someone on the path to destruction in financial health, actual health--or both.

I can't understand that either, so I asked someone who said they do play two machines from time to time and they told me they were playing old, slow machines that literally gave them enough time to play two machines simultaneously. Frankly, it seemed absurd to me. But I'm not a fast player. Not only do I take my time, but after the draw I stop to see what I "missed."

I learned a lesson the hard way when I played too fast, not holding a card that I thought I held and missing quads as a result. That one lesson was enough.

Poor dufus. After making a complete fool out of himself all he has left is trying to assert silly nonsense. Let's face it the guy lost an inheritance, had to file bankruptcy, lost his job and was unemployable (no doubt due to his wonderful way with people), was completely dependent on his wife for support and even lost his unpaid job at GT. Not only that, he couldn't even win at VP with a big edge because of his drinking and running around.

He constantly drips with jealousy over successful VP players like Dancer, Scott, Paymar, and Frank. Now he's so jealous of my success he can't make a comment without trying to fantasize I'm suffering some awful existence.

It's pretty obvious from his comments that he is extremely unhappy the way his life turned out. And, after years and years of denigrating people who live in Nevada he's forced to live in a trailer in the state he hates (bet there's a real interesting story behind that). Karma .....
