Jesus, tableplay, that was a beautiful succinct quote. If you PM me your name and rank, I'll credit you, too. I will use that down the road.

And, by the way, that's why, until you learn HOW to watch football games, you're better off NOT watching football games. Try listening to the same game between Georgia and Tennessee on separate long range radio broadcasts, and you'll understand tableplay's quote perfectly.

Why am I the only one of maybe TWELVE people to get solicited by redeitz' sports punks? Well guess what--he didn't expect to get excoriated for that nonsense that quickly, so he had his team pull back the reins like any wounded businessman would do.

It also makes no sense that he wouldn't accept my amateur vs. pro 32-game NFL challenge that had no money or conditions involved other than he pick the source of the lines for both of us. How much simpler could it have been anyway?

Agree with the poster who called touts who sell picks as the scum of the earth, who need other people's money because they lose their picks. After all, if their for-sale picks are such "locks", then why not just bet MORE on them instead of selling them?
I wanted to re-visit this post, because it's the kind of post from Rob that got me saying I was a sports handicapper in the first place. Rob thinking that the Bearcats at 150-1 was a bad play or losing play is so bizarre that it's mind blowing.
You want to revisit this post because its veracity keeps you up at night.

All of your dancing around in this thread doesn't change the truth that sports handicappers would be able to profit far more by betting more on their "picks" and "sure-thing locks" than by taking other people's money...if their picks were worth a shit. People sell stuff to make a living. Some do it with honor; these people don't.

Keep bringing up the same BS about your so-called emails or phone calls or texts, I'll unfortunately keep reminding you that the sleazebags who contacted me said they worked with/for you as soon as they believed I was interested in buying picks. I basically forced them into admitting how they got my phone numbers (which I posted here back then for some reason).

Saying Cincinnati was a "good bet" that lost is just plain stupid. There's only one good bet--one that WINS. Exactly how many suckers are going to buy picks from touts that blab about picking a loser. Speaking of which---a simple 32 NFL picks here with me, win, lose or draw, isn't gonna mean dick for your "reputation". Try again.

    Exhibit B.

Okay, I'll play. Note that Rob said they "contacted him." Note they were able to "believe" he was interested in buying picks. How did they come to that belief? What did Rob say to them? LOL. So unknown people somehow "contacted" Rob and somehow Rob made them "believe" he wanted to "buy picks," after which they said they worked for me. And why would they say that? To impress Rob? Sounds like bad scouting to me. LOL. So they "contact" Rob, they come to "believe" that he wants to buy picks, and they then inform Rob that they work for me because Rob is such a fan of mine? Makes sense.

And then Rob "forced them" into admitting how they got his phone number. How did you "force" them, Rob? Let's hear it. Did you threaten them with your CIA training? Did you use mental telepathy (sorry, that was a video poker joke)?

I mean, c'mon, man. You haven't thought this through at all.

And you're so lost with sports betting, I mean, really, that part of it requires no comment. That's why I announced I was a sports handicapper after 2500 posts. Because you were saying brain dead things as if you knew what you were talking about.

No, Garnabby. I AM Kewlj. Haven't you figured that out by now?

Don't you think tableplay's quote was a keeper? I mean, you have to be a fan of it, no? It's just right. It sums up every confirmation bias and tunnel perception foible in a couple of words.

The Old New Year or the Orthodox New Year is an informal traditional holiday, celebrated as the start of the New Year by the Julian calendar. In the 20th and 21st centuries, the Old New Year falls on January 14 in the Gregorian calendar. Wikipedia

I doubt that you would have jeopardized a hundred grand clear a year by talking about it in detail for the last fifteen years or so, let alone gone well out of your way to embarrass or otherwise subvert the high rollers of Las Vegas at the same time. Wouldn't want to tip off the MIT team, either.

The MIT Blackjack Team was a group of students and ex-students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and other leading colleges who used card counting techniques and more sophisticated strategies to beat casinos at blackjack worldwide. The team and its successors operated successfully from 1979 through the beginning of the 21st century. Many other blackjack teams have been formed around the world with the goal of beating the casinos.

I think that you get a bit carried away, at times. At this point in our lives, we must rely on the tried-and-true, not, the experimental, breakthroughs in concept.

I seem to recall that it's been said that athletes have to relearn even how to walk, but, this doesn't mean that people shouldn't watch football games. Personally, I can't think of a greater waste of time than learning about, and, watching a football game. But, I suppose, the game of life/death can't do without it.

Right. So you say, "I'll buy what you're selling if you tell me where you got my name and number." And then they tell you before you buy it.

Wow, these must be crack sales teams. I hope they're not working on commission. Were they working on commission, Rob?

See, Rob's stuck here. No salesman in his right mind would do this. So Rob either bought games from somebody, which he is loathe to admit, or he's lying.

He spoke with them on the phone? Or did they text him? Was it one, two, or three people? How many conversations did he have with them?
Rob, this is almost, but not quite, as whacked as the Newell story. So, since you mentioned they contacted you via phone, and since phone records are always available, why don't you just find the number that called you, demonstrate my connection, and collect 5K and have me cease ever posting again? That seems easy peasy.

Post the number here. It'll be great. Everyone can check it out and call it.

You know what, let's take this to the max. We have someone saying they were contacted by a salesman representing me. I say it never happened. Let's sort it out. Seems as if this should be illegal.

Here's the number of the East Tennessee Better Business Bureau: (895) 692-1600.
Here's the Tennessee state attorney general's office and its consumer affairs division: https://www.tn.gov/attorneygeneral/contact-us.html
Here's my name and address: Robert Dietz, 1412 Forrest dale Lane, Johnson City, TN 37604

Now all we need is Rob Argentino's address and the phone number involved to file a formal complaint.

We probably can get away without Rob's address, but they may want his social. We will need that phone number.

I would like to get to the bottom of this. I intend to file a complaint. Nobody is or has ever been authorized to do what Rob says these people did. If Rob's not lying, I don't see any reason for him to withhold any information he has regarding these people. Let's have the phone number that was the contact number for these people, Rob. And please call the Tennessee state attorney general and explain what happened. Because I will be filing a complaint with you as the source of the complaint against my proprietorship.

After this weekend's games, I'll whip up a letter to the state attorney general, and we can take it from there. Rob, please track down the dates and phone numbers involved.

    Thanks in advance.

Whoops my bad - I went with the Calendar that 99.999% of North America uses (and which VCT uses).

The fact that you and your "crew" got caught trying to scam someone is really bothering you comrade, isn't it. Your weird posts trying to mitiigate being exposed is almost priceless.

File complaints? Why say something so dense when I've told you maybe a dozen times I neither save junk texts and phone calls, nor do I care about bringing criminal action against you and your sleazebags. How dumb has this caused you to be anyway? And who cares what address you put up--its probably in a queer neighborhood anyway.

Bottom line is you are a liar and a fraud. You keep posting these desperate attempts because you've read everything I've written in the past. So you feel safe in acting like a jerk again.

Since you're obviously so worried about this and how you're perceived, simply place double the money on your stupid "sure-thing locks" and the "automatic wins" will ease your pulsating pain.

Methinks you wish you never gave my number(s) out.

Well, we'll let the attorney general sort it out. Just provide an address, email, or current phone number so they can get in touch with you. You don't have to post it or provide it to me. Just call them next Friday, after I've sent the appropriate letter, and we'll find out what's behind all this.

I'll post the letter I'll send next Wednesday.

I would think you would want a formal, legal affirmation of what happened, and I'm giving you the opportunity to corroborate everything. I will send the letter next Wednesday, so you can assist or not. I cannot see any reason you would fail to do so. Correspondence would be between you and the state attorney general. There's no downside for you.

    Here's the link again: https://www.tn.gov/attorneygeneral/contact-us.html

In the event you don't cooperate, I will simply give them Todd's name and the VCT address with links to some of the posts where you describe what happened. I will then follow the attorney general's instructions. If they tell me to ignore you, I'll ignore you. If they tell me to provide them with addresses and phone numbers associated with you and your family, I'll do that. If they tell me to sue Todd, I'll do that, also.

Whoops my bad - I went with the Calendar that 99.999% of North America uses (and which VCT uses).

Hey, get with the program ... the VCT secret codeword-RIP calendar --->

We're Gettin' Closer to the Grave Each Day.

Incidentally, the other two lines, too, I wrote of, have to do with Christ.

Apparently, each of the calendars is considered a Christian calendar.

Every one /everyone knows it all; yet, no thing /nothing is truly known by any one /anyone. Similarly, the suckers think that they win, but, the house always wins, unless to hand out an even worse beating.
