Thread: Is Las Vegas relevant any more?

  1. #41
    LOL, no thanks.

I was gambling last weekend in Lincoln City, Oregon and went to my "go to" budtender, T.E.R.P. Collective, and saw some nice looking bud being sold for thirty bucks an ounce.

I passed as I prefer to smoke their top shelf cannabis but my god, what a deal!

Back in the day I paid twenty bucks an ounce for Mexican weed, that's all we had available then, and we had to clean it of stems and seeds.

The new cannabis is just sooooo much better: no stems and seeds (all buds) and much more potent.
    What, Me Worry?

You are a grade-A imbecile. Why do you think the guy kept telling him he was brave to be out in public and how if he should be thankful the guy is a law abiding citizen. Those are not implied threats? Of course they are. He's basically telling the guy he'd attack him if he wasn't worried about legal repercussions.

No fucking wonder you think a machine telepaths to you.
I guess I can see why you're just an old loner-version of kew, who tries their best to live a relevant life on the internet. At times, you are so very dense.

If that guy were actually making a REAL threat of death against the Governor or any Governor, he'd have been arrested and we'd have seen a follow-up story by now. But isn't it just like the weakest in our society....to pretend all the past liberals' "threats" against conservatives "don't amount to much" yet in this case it "outrageously dangerous and real!"

Get out more--and not to just casinos.

Shittylak, trudope and the other, insane, evil, leftist, globalist political vermin all over the western world should thank their lucky stars that they are only on the receiving end of hateful, angry words as they deserve so much more, hey hey.

Do you really not know what implied means? implications?

My dad didn't graduate HS, but I understand basic English.

What is your excuse? Genetics? Is this whole Maxine Waters rant is just projecting from your stupid ass?

I am not a Steve Sisolak fan. He is a typical city level corrupt politician. Everything that is wrong with local politics. Las Vegas is not alone. The city or county level politicians in every city are corrupt, taking payoffs from real estate developers. And the chairmen or presidents of these local boards the worst of the bunch. No project can get approval without money passing through their hands. Sisolak was involved in several of these corrupt deals as county commission chairmanthat came to light in which he made millions of dollars. No doubt as governor that corruption continues.

That said, what I saw on the video is despicable. Just another example of lack of human decency. Anyone wanting to call out or protest a politician has the right. You call his office, protest his office, even protest at events he is speaking. But to harass and threaten a nearly 70 year old man while he is having dinner with his wife and daughter, by an asshole nearly 30 years younger is like I said, just a complete lack of decency. Something we see more and more of everyday. How on earth did we get to the point of celebrating this kind of bullying?

There was a time in my life when the cost per weight of "kind bud" was more than gold.

Tito's, made in Texas, is damn good Vodka at a damn good price in most places. Used to drink it myself. It's distilled 6 times as opposed to other vodkas distilled only 2 or 3 times. Like Smirnoff, only distilled 3 times.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

We got to this point courtesy of the inability of liberals to debate anyone who believes in different ideals than they do. Instead, their cowardly choice has been to attempt to cancel those with differing views...even those within their own party. Just look at accounting question's irrational reaction to his side getting a solid dose of their own medicine. His meltdown here depicts the stark truth. It's a beautiful thing.

Sisolak wears his own level of slime. But having to exit a restaurant with his family because of some loudmouthed bully who probably was fueled by liquid courage, shouldn't be accepted in our society. Assholes like Maxine Waters has a lot to do with that type of behavior these days.

I think you found yourself in an abnormal situation. I guess it's like any other situation where if you don't shop around you can get f***** on the price.

At most of the bars in town, you can walk up put a $20 in and get a free drink in the same amount of time it takes to pay for one. I'm not sure what to say if you're ordering two drinks, I guess it would be a buy one get one free situation.
I know someplaces have those lights on the back of the machines, but it takes very little play to get that to come on.

I guess if you're someone that doesn't really understand how things work or you don't want to mess around with seeking out the value you might think Vegas is much more expensive compared to other places. I get the feeling that those are the type of people that probably really don't care anyways, they just want to go where they want to go. if you want to bring back the old style Vegas comps and value, you got to bring back the old style dumpy casinos.

I can verify the drink prices mentioned at the Rio. I have personally seen people order a double Capt. Morgan and coke and charged $32 per drink at the Shutters Bar. Axel, even if you are playing at the Shutters Bar, with the lights and a Diamond Card, they are currently serving Mr. Boston liquor products. A 1.75 liter of Mr. Boston anything retails for $11.99 and the bartenders are serving it straight from the plastic bottle. The problem is El Diablo (aka CET aka Eldoraldo) doesn't give shit and are ripping off their so called guests. The Total Rewards player of the last 15 years are leaving in droves.
Yea, $64 for 2 sounds more correct but I was already drunk and not caring and have since rounded it to 60. It was absolutely insane. $32 for what was probably a double titos. That's the same thing as a captain morgan. That is such an abusive practice that yea, they'll clearly lose many customers amongst people who like to drink.

Used to get people drunk to make em lose money, now it is a revenue source to replace gambling.

And why go there to drink and have fun anymore when the drinks cost 3x what they should?

    RIP
A certain former predominant member here is an expert on Captain Morgan, he would be your go 2 guy for everything related to the Captain.

Probably due to non-stop in-your-face corruption by politicians and other members of the local, county, state and federal government.

LOL, you're being "a bit" alarmist there, aren't you?

I gave up alcohol and tobacco decades ago; without my remaining vices of cannabis and gambling I'd be a god.

It happens time and time again all throughout history.
And even in many countries around the world in the modern day.
The only difference is that America is the only one who doesn't hang them, cut their heads off or drag them naked through the street.
In the early days of America, we did but currently we are too civilized but eventually a violent revolution will happen yet again.
That is, of course, unless 20,000 nukes decide to fly around the world in less than 12 minutes.

Would you be saying this now if Trump had in fact been reelected and was still in power?

If not, then what you really want is not a revolution but for Trump to have won.

    Hello, sour grapes.

The American political system is not the problem; the problem is We the People and our ability to be "good losers."

    Ahh yes, whataboutism.

What I call the universal excuse.

" It happened somewhere else therefore it is ok if it happens here or there."

This is basically the rallying cry erm excuse for certain people.

I guess congrats to Karen...I don't know, for doing the interview. Karen is a bit muffled and hard to hear. Plus she has a bit of an accent, At first I thought the accent and female voice could be fake, but after turning up the volume and a few minutes in, it became clear she is a real person and I guess who she claims, a single, blackish, 38 year female from south Florida that plays slots. Well at least that is her claim regarding Tasha/Karen. There have been so many identities from this person. :rolleyes

I suppose there will be some not convinced this isn't just another episode of the Tasha/nathan/karen troll and game, but I do trust Druffs judgement on these things. To me, how do I want to put this, Karen seems kind of naive about gambling and life in general. I kind of hope this is enough to end some of the worst of the attacks on her, because it really (to me) now seems like picking on a slow or possible "challenged" person.

add on: I now feel guilty for not only some things I have said to this person but also for accepting and using the $25 gift card. I will figure out a way to re-pay that gift card now. (karen, feel free to PM me how you would like that re-paid)
Just because a tard gives you something, why would it be necessary to repay? Can tards not give gifts?
I just don't feel comfortable with it. I feel like I took advantage of the situation.

MaxPen if you remember, one of our first conversations was about a blind blackjack player (older guy) that we both experienced a casino cheating because he was blind. The blind guy was kind of obnoxious, rude and difficult to be around. He needed the dealer to announce what his cards were which was kind of annoying and game slowing. I played with the gentleman on several occasions at both Tuscany and East Cannery. It was East Cannery that I saw him being cheated. Not sure if that was just that dealer or higher up. I also don't remember if that was pre Boyd purchase or not. But I was appalled.

I call myself an advantage player. To me that means I seek and find advantages in casino play, playing within their rules. It doesn't mean I take advantage of every situation and every person that I encounter.

I remember that and it was pre Boyd. Sadly, I have since seen casinos do worse than that.
FraudJ's word is worth less than the prop cash in Singer's safe...RIP

In thinking about it, you are correct. I stopped playing BJ there after that incident. It definitely was pre-Boyd,
