FraudJ's word is worth less than the prop cash in Singer's safe...RIP
There's good & bad Dr.'s and dentists everywhere, and you can create a negative relationship with a decent one by poorly thought-out interactions.
People with insurance always can ask for a list of providers, and even with no insurance you can select your own. It's up to you to do the research, which is what I think max is talking about.
It wouldn't be out of character for Dan to feel abused because of a $10 issue or have some other petty, nagging problem that most patients would simply look past and let go. Even so, any bad experience can be corrected by changing doctors.
Conclusion: LV dental & medical is no different overall that any other big city's is. We've even found decent doctors in Sioux Falls. My wife's glaucoma Dr. is there, and we're leaving Mon. night, which is earlier that usual for escaping the hot months here each year, for her semi-annual tests. We could get them in the Phx. area but the Sioux City offices are more comfortable because they're less crowded.

I'm sure there are decent dentists in the Las Vegas area, but I'm speaking in generalities that the healthcare situation in Vegas sucks. I lived in Vegas for a long enough time to discover this. In fact, it's much worse for medical than dental, because there are relatively few specialties in dentistry, so if you can find a few good ones, you're fine. With medical, you are fucked if there are relatively few good doctors in the area.
I found that the doctor situation in Vegas is riddled with both incompetence and hostility toward patients. Consolidation is a huge issue, as well. Most specialties have consolidated into one huge office (for purposes of negotiation with insurance companies), which is never good for the patient.

Yeah, I've read that health care is sub-par in sin city, at least when compared to comparable cities.
Take Portland, Oregon: much better health care here.
Gotta wonder why old folks retire to LV, given the quality of care.
What, Me Worry?
