Thread: Anyone having a delay in their tax refund? :/

  1. #1
I filed my taxes with my Mother using TurboTax on February 2nd but my mother accidentally hadn't put my pin the IRS sent me due to some unknown Thief in 2013 somehow getting a hold of my tax information and filing under my name and stealing what would have been my money. When I filed for real, my Tax preparer called me and told me someone already filed under my name and got my refund. I was pissed. I had to sign paperwork swearing I was the victim of Identity theft and wasn't the one who filed the first time. It took me six months to get my refund check. I was PISSED!

IRS now sends me a Pin every year for tax filing. I got an Email saying my Tax filing was rejected and I was told it was missing a Pin. I put the Pin and got a message saying something like,"Error fixed. It showed me my refund and my Bank Account information. I saw something like,"Sign and E-file, but I didn't properly do it. About two week later, I got a call from TurboTax. I assumed it would be something like,"Your tax refund is on its way in about one more week. " Instead, I was informed my Tax filing was rejected.

I was baffled as I put in the Pin. I had to put the Pin again and ACTUALLY sign and E-file (I assumed the tax filing went through when I saw my Bank account details and vmy Refund amount. This was on Wednesday, February 16th when I FINALLY did it the right way all the way. I assumed I would be getting my refund by March 9th.

March 9th rolled around and I still didn't have my refund. I went to IRS Website to inquire about my Tax Refund and I got the message that my tax refund was delayed. It didn't even tell me when I should expect my Tax Refund. I went to Google and a LOT of People have their Tax Refund delayed and got the SAME message from the IRS Website. There was something written like,"Being told your Tax Refund is delayed with no set date is no comfort for you when you're desperately needing the refund check to be deposited in your Bank Account". As of today, March 14th, I still have not received my Tax Refund check. :/

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

A lot to unpack there Tasha. Are you considering visiting your local payday loan store?

Thank you for posting this in the correct subforum…

Consider yourself lucky you retarded piece of shit. You will lose it at the casino quickly anyways.

And NO, most people here don’t get tax refunds because they are smart enough to not give the government extra money to use all year for nothing in return. But that is too hard of a concept for someone as stupid as you to figure out.

Unless of course there is some “retard credit” that you qualify for, which again is something we wouldn’t understand.

Should have went to Jackson Hewitt, isn’t that where all you people file your taxes at?

There is a phrase for what you will be but I can’t remember it right now.

If youre actually getting a tax refund every year, youre doing it all wrong. And it took me awhile to smarten up and see reality. That is free money youre loaning to the federal gov by over paying and just getting it back. To pay them every tear at zero is better.

If I could go back in time, I would rather owe the gov tax money every year because then I know I maxed out my retirement accounts. Example- I recently looked at my 2006 tax return and got $3,000 back. Dummy me- that 3k spread out 12 months could have gone into the deferred comp (401k, 47, etc) account making good interest. Looking back, my declared taxation rate was 1 and it should have been 2. I would have been paying less in taxes to the feds and more money into my pocket.

Banking on a tax return is foolish money management. Save the money every month and pay yourself, not over pay the federal gov.
