AQ, you got yourself in the middle of a blood feud. I used to be friends with maxpen and KJ. Maxpen used to complement me. What ended It? It was their actions that ended it.

When Rob and the DUB came up everyone was asked to give an unbiased opinion if he really did it or not. Of course, maxpen and KJ hated Singer so their opinions immediately formed that Singer was a liar. Then they looked for evidence to back up their conclusions. They ignored any evidence that didn't back up their preconceived conclusions.

I don't remember it all now but I seen some things.

1. Singer had announced that the published sequence to trigger the double up was wrong. How would he know unless he worked it? He even published what he called the correct sequence. That was significant because nobody knew who was going to come flying out of the woodwork giving the correct sequence and saying Rob was full of shit. But that never happened.

2. Rob announced his retirement from professional video poker in July 2009, the month Kane and Nestor got busted. KJ tryed to pass if off as coincidence. It is a hell of a lot more than coincidence. Yep, it was just a coincidence that Sirhan Sirhan was in LA when Robert Kennedy was killed. Just coincidence that James Early Ray was in Memphis when Martin Luther King was killed.

That's just two of the points I remember. Rob and I were absolutely not getting along. We were bitter enemies. But I gave the opinion that it was likely he did the DUB.

TBF - After reading Mickey's post I find it far more likely Rob took advantage of the DU bug but I do not for a second think he discovered it and if he did it was by pure luck from being a total degenerate puttin' in time.

edit - the reason I am more believing Singer did the DU is just due to the timeframe when Rob retired from video poker. 2009 - 1 month away from public outing of the 2 guys caught or whatever... Not saying he did it, but that is a pretty solid coincidence. Being who he is - someone could have very well told him of DU bug and so his nonsense about telepathy at least has a valid justification.

Las Vegas CET seems frequently to issue press statements for table games jackpots (i.e. from side bets). Not sure why those in particular.
