Not sure why you are giving me flak about that noise?
I really didn't care much about the Singer Jackpots.
I may have taken a few jabs but all in all it didn't matter to me.
What mattered was tipping the slot crew 20,000 dollars.
    That's upsetting.
But lets try to keep this conversation towards bowling and health.
No reason to bring that mess over here.
I don't think I ever give you any strife.
And I always answer your questions in a cordial manner.

Like I say that guy was practicing two handed bowling and never taking a pause.
He was setting up in the middle to the left of center and his ball would hook left immediately.
Did he strike and spare some shots?
    Yes.
But most of his games did not break 90 from what I saw.
Maybe you are right and he actually was bowling 190.

I wasn't giving you flak...the comments were for observers.

    Bah.

    It's those damned munchies.
I'm not sure about that because of muscle memory.
Whenever I get serious about health and fitness I find it easy enough to drop the weight.
    Six Pack Abs?
No and I never have had those but I could get back down to 220 within 3 months.
Like you say though... the munchies are a beast and I get them even if I don't do marijuana.
These days when I eat my homemade edibles I find myself gorging on food and sleeping for about 2 days.
    Not Good.
One thing about this back and forth with this thread is that I am starting to get inspired to get fit again but I know it will never last.
Got to get your mind right and keep it right but I think those days are over.

By far my favorite bowler of all time.
    LOL... Suck It!
    DQed but worth it lol.
Sam's Town Still Got It lol.

Makes me want to quit bowling and stop watching Happy Gilmore.
No way in Hell that Bowling is this Gay.
I prefer my Michelle Pfeiffer either all coked up or in a skin tight cat suit.
I'm on board with the double entendre of scoring though.

Monet, from the time I was a very young child until I was 21 or 22 I bowled league as well as recreation. For a few summers in high school I bowled for free since I was friendly with the girl working the front desk.
When your young and something is free you feel the need to use it or take it even if you don't want it. Some days I would bowl up to 20 games. My thumb was so sore, I couldn't fit it in the thumb hole of the ball. The pro shop owner told me to put my thumb in a potato. I don't know if he was trolling me, but I tried it. After that I stopped bowling for a week to let the thumb heal.

I miss bowling. I would like to get back in it.

    Cool Story.
I stopped using my thumb back in 1986.
I bowled like Mike Miller before Mike Miller bowled like Mike Miller.
My orbs only have two holes and to be honest I barely put my two fingers inside of them as the ball is palmed and rests on my forearm.
I have been thinking about drilling a thumb hole into my spare ball so I can throw it more straight which makes more sense.
This is because I constantly leave the Ringing Ten or Flat 7 because I suck.
Interesting Note... Mike Miller keeps licking his palm to get more grip but have you ever looked at your palm after bowling?
Dude was a real man and not scared of germs or dirt of any kind.

Wow, you have been bowling for awhile. I thought about bowling without the thumb to get more revolutions, but I wasn't accurate hitting my targets.

I do watch Brad and Kyle YouTube channel. Fun to follow their PBA adventure.

Tom Daugherty also has a similar style to mine and he licks his dirty palm too.
I've never tried that but I might have to just because...

I've watched them but I hate the music they use and the editing.
    I haven't bowled that long.
I probably bowled less than 200 games total lifetime and I put about 100 games on the lanes just in the last few months.
What I said was I changed to two finger bowling back in 1986.
In the late 80's on up till 2022 I was far too busy doing other things to care about bowling.
I just got more serious a couple months ago.
This is the first time I have actually bought serious equipment and more than one ball.
Now I have 5 new balls and one old ball that I probably won't use again.
    New Bags and Expensive Shoes.
Extremely Expensive Bags and Shoes In My Opinion.
It's fun but now I have the problem of an overweight and aging body lol so I can only bowl once every two weeks currently.
Or I should say that if I don't let my leg recover for two weeks I will have problems.
I probably should try to just keep my sessions shorter at 3 to 4 games but I'm trying to break my leg into submission.
The new 6 ball bag that I am eyeballing runs at 400 dollars plus tax.
    Backordered as well.

See... I hate how these Fuckers put all this music into the video.
My style is a bit different but very similar.
I think it helps if you are tall with bigger hands to actually bowl like this.
I've actually been thinking about trying the two handed approach to see if I can do it and if it makes any difference in ball speed and leg pain.
From my understanding the way two handed bowlers plant their sliding foot actually causes more problems with leg pain.
And I have thought about drilling a couple balls with thumb holes now that I am older and probably can hook it the fundamental way of doing it.
    Time will tell.

You can become good fairly fast by investing a couple hundred bucks for a few hours of lessons. Once you fix mechanical issues, your scores will shoot up.

Also, since your still realitively new to bowling, you will still adapt to change fairly well.

That guy scammed me out of 2 hours of lessons for 100 bucks.
Enough of that bullshit for me lol.
Did I learn a few pointers?
Yes but not worth the money to me.
Shit, you can get virtual lessons online for 20 dollars a month if you are willing to record yourself bowling and upload it.
I could buy more games or equipment with that cash.
I do it for fun and exercise.
I'm around a 175 average around town on house patterns.
My best game has been a 276.
I get over 200 about 25% of the time and that's good enough for me.
But like I say... that is on Easy House Patterns.

I will probably never join a league.
This is because I don't like to be scheduled.
What I most likely will do is show up to leagues and substitute on occassion.
Not only is that Fun but it is Free Bowling.
    Win/Win.
That is the total advantage play in bowling along with your make friends with an employee to get more free bowling.

I've always had very good eye hand coordination.
I've done nothing but play games for my entire life.
Wide Receiver, Number 4 Man and 3rd base in high school.
But I gave all that shit up to move to Vegas and become a Scambler.
    Easy Peasy.

It is a mathematical and proven fact that if you can get your ball to enter the pocket at the 17 and a half board that you will strike 99.99% of the time.
I'm sure you know that already though.
I just find that information very interesting.

Very interesting, but the hard part is You have to hit that target from 60 feet away. Each “board” is a tad over an inch wide at 1.06 inches.

Shortly before I gave up bowling, the local center closed and they sold off the bowling lanes. $5 per foot. I bought 20ft to make some tables. Bowling lanes are very thick about 5”. They cut them in 6 foot sections. These things were so fucking heavy. The wood itself extremely hard. I Burt out more than one circular saw blade.

I would think 2 inches or so thick would be fine for a wood lane. Aren't they synthetic now?
FraudJ's word is worth less than the prop cash in Singer's safe...RIP

Yes, most if not all lanes installed now are synthetic. I do know the thickness in synthetic lanes is different.
As far as the thickness in wood lanes, I’ve really never understood the need to have them so thick either.

There are still many bowling centers with wood lanes. Wood lanes last a long time. Also, just like hardwood floors, bowling lanes can be resurfaced.

    Only from the bowling.
It's obvious that I need to lose about 50 pounds.
I'm just putting too much stress on my left leg and knee.
I may need to change my slide technique.
Some coaches have said that you need to slide towards your target and that can help.
But like I say, it's a combination of being out of shape, age, overweight, a muscle mass and bone density issue.
I just need to eat better, exercise more, strengthen muscle and tendons.
Get back into lifting weights to build up bone density.
This is a very common problem for bowlers.
And a very common problem for bowlers who took 15 years off and got fat.
Almost every account that I have read about claimed that when they lost weight and got in shape the leg/knee pain went away.
All my fat is located in my midsection which makes a difference, I think.

I used to play a lot of golf as well till about 10 years ago.
I would get massive middle back pain so I gave it up.
I also gave up hoops, jogging, softball, racquetball, tennis and flag football at about the same time period.
I just got fat and lazy... end of story.
I just need to get back into the gym.
    Go swimming.
Get back into the rowing machine.
    Cardio and Lifting Weights.
Probably never make it though as I don't have the same determination as past years.
What you need to do is get off the comp train. Fuck all this casino shit food. I don't care how nice the place supposedly is. They all use shitty oils and all kinds of other garbage. I ditched it all completely April 2nd at 258 pounds. I am 221 today at 6'-2". So still some to go. Eat whole foods, no meat, no dairy, no oil as much as you want. Exercise additionally or not.

But exercise obviously helps. Your ailments are from poor gut health from years of shitty casino food. Research a company called Viome. Take their health intelligence test, follow their recommended foods based on your results and subscribe to get the custom made probiotics and prebiotics to fix your rekt gut.

Within 30 days of implementing this you will literally feel 20 years younger and it only keeps getting better.
    Maxie eats dogshit.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
