I may need to change my slide technique.
Some coaches have said that you need to slide towards your target and that can help.
But like I say, it's a combination of being out of shape, age, overweight, a muscle mass and bone density issue.
I just need to eat better, exercise more, strengthen muscle and tendons.
Get back into lifting weights to build up bone density.
This is a very common problem for bowlers.
And a very common problem for bowlers who took 15 years off and got fat.
Almost every account that I have read about claimed that when they lost weight and got in shape the leg/knee pain went away.
All my fat is located in my midsection which makes a difference, I think.

I used to play a lot of golf as well till about 10 years ago.
I would get massive middle back pain so I gave it up.
I also gave up hoops, jogging, softball, racquetball, tennis and flag football at about the same time period.
I just got fat and lazy... end of story.
I just need to get back into the gym.
    Go swimming.
Get back into the rowing machine.
    Cardio and Lifting Weights.
Probably never make it though as I don't have the same determination as past years.
What you need to do is get off the comp train. Fuck all this casino shit food. I don't care how nice the place supposedly is. They all use shitty oils and all kinds of other garbage. I ditched it all completely April 2nd at 258 pounds. I am 221 today at 6'-2". So still some to go. Eat whole foods, no meat, no dairy, no oil as much as you want. Exercise additionally or not.

But exercise obviously helps. Your ailments are from poor gut health from years of shitty casino food. Research a company called Viome. Take their health intelligence test, follow their recommended foods based on your results and subscribe to get the custom made probiotics and prebiotics to fix your rekt gut.

Within 30 days of implementing this you will literally feel 20 years younger and it only keeps getting better.

I will leave the dog shit eating to you scooter boy......RIP

Your diet does sound pretty feminine Max.

In any case, you eat less steak than anyone on the forum.

If you think eating meat is manly then you're still confused like most people today. Welcome to being a product of the meat industry. I suffered the same misconceptions too. Fortunately I am waking up.

I think I figured out a decent schedule that seems to work.
I bowl every 4 to 5 days and only bowl 3 to 4 games.
This seems to combat any type of pain in my leg.
Usually by the 4th game I start to feel some thigh pain or subtle knee pain.
So I was just overdoing it as usual.
I haven't bowled very well though as I'm trying to learn better technique with my eyes and feet.
    Still around a 175 average but I haven't had many 200+ games.
I bought too many different types of balls and don't really need them for a house shot.
Nor do I understand how to use them properly.
    Still Fun.
    Still eating meat... addicted.

    Fucking USBC and Australia.
I pray to the Saudi Government to take over bowling and start the LIVPBA.
String Bowling might be the way of the future but I will never pay for it.

I stumbled across some candle pin bowling videos, as well as snooker.

    Whoa.

    Manual pinsetters.

Something they don’t show in this video, but there are several other videos about this location is that people usually tip the kids in the back manually setting the pins. They have a clear ball that has a slot on the side that opens and closes so people can insert cash tips into the ball and then send it down the lane. Pretty cool.

If you really wanted a couple lanes at your house but didn’t want the huge expense this would be a viable option if your willing to do the installation. Unless you put in brand new pin setters, the used ones people buy for homes that were removed from a bowling alley will eventually have constant issues. Obviously rich folks, celebrity’s ect. won’t mind investing $250k on a new set of lanes and pinsetters.

I have followed used equipment on eBay over the years and the cheapest I have seen a pair of USED lanes, 2 pin setters, ball return, score tables and monitors was $15k for the pair. This price was delivered. If you think you can do the instal, it’s not a bad investment. There are private companies that will put in a pair of used lanes and equipment for around $50k if you already have the foundation set and ready to go.

I am all for manual pinsetting.
It's just like trying to hit that guy with a golf ball at the golf range.
    Fun.

I spend about 10 bucks on average per session at the bowling center.
    100 times a year = 1000 dollars.
That would take me 15 to 20 years for the lanes to pay for themselves.
Not worth it to me and I couldn't imagine buying a house big enough to have 35 to 40 foot lanes.
I get it though but I certainly do not have enough friends or family for something like that.
We all seen what happened when I tried to install two showers in my house.
Total Failure and I ended up spending about 6k more for my stupidity.

The three pin turns into the ten pin.
I'm not sure of the ruling but you would think it would be a strike.
The announcers didn't even know what they were talking about.

It's been about 16 days since my last session at the lanes.
I got in some Early Bird Special this morning.
Obviously at the 1 or 2 dollar a game rate it is by far the best advantage play for rec bowling on a house shot.
I had a great morning bowling 6 games.
Mind you that this is on an easy house shot so you have to take it with a grain of salt.
I used the Purple Hammer in all 6 games for my Strike Shot.
I sometimes used my Spare Ball and other times used my Hustle Wine to pick up the 7 pin.
The 10 pin was killing me today.
I made my first one but whiffed 3 or 4 in a row which killed my second game.
So I tried not to leave the ten pin anymore and that plan sort of worked for the most part in 5 out of 6 games.

In order my games were 217, 145, 218, 212, 214 and 225 for my last and highest scoring game on the day.
That's a 205.1 Average so that felt good.
Like I say, House Shot which is the easiest of setups these days.
Still Fun and the workout felt good.
The best part was I had no pain in hip, leg or knee.
Obviously I figured out that I was just overdoing it.
I want to bowl more games per week but it seems like 4 to 6 games every ten days is going to be what I can handle without having to deal with pain.

Chinese bowling pins (to go along with Chinese cards)?

Bowled 4 games on Monday but was unable to get alternating lanes.
I only used the Purple Hammer in the first game and rolled a 209.
I decided to try a couple of my other balloons because they just sit there and do nothing.
Turns out they are harder for me to control.
I bowled a 176 with the Dark Code.
I bowled a 147 with the Black Raw Hammer.
I went back to the Purple Hammer for the last game and rolled a 190.
The lanes were very busy for 9am as they had something going on.
    Call First next time.

I'm heading out for an early dinner in an hour or so.
I decided to finally put up my overpriced rip off dart board.
    Talk about losing money.
650 dollars worth of trash IMO.
It is nice and level and at regulation size and length and very stable on the wall.
This is because I threw away their instructions and took off their hanger on the back.
I just screwed it into my wall studs with 3 inch screws instead.
The battery operated LED Lights are kind of nice I guess.
Wall Art at worst since I throw alone 98% of the time.
    At least it is operational.
The pictures don't look too good and they make the sides look uneven which they are not.
The chalk boards are too small for my taste and have more of a little kid feel to them.
I should of went with the more expensive bigger one but I talked myself into this garbage.
    Hindsight.
