Thread: He Died In Debt

  1. #1
Peter Green, a founding member of Fleetwood Mac died in 2020. He was 254,122 pounds in debt. Goddam capitalism! Oh, wait. That's not the end of the equation. He had assets of 4,847,463 pounds. When the debts were paid he had a net worth of 4,593,341 pounds.

Nevertheless, socialists like redietz will record that Peter Green "died in debt."

RIP Peter, one of the unsung heros of rock.

I am a Mac fan; the addition of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham took the band in a new direction toward fame and fortune, but in some ways I like the old band as much, sometimes better.

Check out this tune: a rock / British blues gem:

Thanks MrV. - it's amazing how much they sound like Santana as far as the instrumental aspect of the song goes.

Having debt and being broke are completely different things.

It is interesting you say this, because a popular Santana song — “Black Magic Woman” — was written by this same Peter Green as an original Fleetwood Mac song.

    That's pretty cool Kuma, thanks.

Fleetwood Mac started out as a British blues band post John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers.

Most folks probably never heard their excellent 2 disc LP of hard, British blues called "Black Magic Woman."
