Some observations of the past couple hours while I was out:
Mickeycrimm has a couple times mentioned that he is not seeing well or as well as he used to anymore. I don't think anyone is reveling in that. But then mickey scolds us that "
he doesn't see exercise equipment", like those of us that can still see are the idiots because we do.
I like this guy PositiveVariance. Not because he has and continues to methodically take Rob down, although that doesn't hurt.
But his questions, his approach are all very, very reasonable. He is asking many of the same questions and coming to the same conclusions that I do or did a few years back. Of course as soon as I say it, no matter how much sense it makes, it becomes very polarizing.
An example. The sequence of the double up bug activation, which for someone like mickey seems to be a key thing. I have always said that even if Rob did some how know or find the proper sequence 3 years ago, which would be 10 years after the fact, that doesn't mean or prove he knew it back in the 2005-2010 time period. It means he knew it in 2019, well after the fact.
PositiveVariance hit on two of the methods that Rob could have acquired this info (after the fact), contacting Nestor/Kane (unlikely), contacting the author of the story (as i did), but there are other ways. Prosecutors from at least two different jurisdictions, Las Vegas and Pennsylvania, FBI agents working the case, personnel from IGA.
People keep writing that Rob was well connected in Las Vegas back in the day. Even a losing player can be well connected. It is not a stretch at all that he knew someone that knew some info about this play. And Rob tells us over and over that he has relatives and friends in the FBI ect. While I don't believe anything he says these days, it isn't impossible he knows someone in the FBI or law enforcement that worked the case.
Bottom line: knowing that sequence in 2019, does not mean he knew it in 2005-2010 and played and make 3 million.
Now of course when I brought all this up before, mickey challenged me to produce someone that gave Rob that info. That was a pretty unreasonable thing. I am not an investigator, or even a reporter that interviewed the Queen.
It isn't my job to produce anyone and highly unlikely anyone would be able to.
When a guy has lied about claim after claim, a number of them, million dollar claims, and been proven a lie each time, the onus really falls on him to prove any further outlandish claims if he expects anyone to take him seriously. THAT is what precedent is.
