There are no details on this forum. Just insults and false claims and hate messages that are molded to fit an agenda.
There are only three people here who have been willing to investigate facts: mickey, coach and myself.
The rest of you only post what fits your desire.
You've even gone so far as to say you saw the jackpot pictures before.
Grow up.
Be objective. Truth will prevail. You dont have to be like kids in a sandbox kicking sand on each other.
Well I didn't take anyone's word for it. As soon as I saw the new picture I noticed it was most likely workout equipment or something like that, and sure enough, PV and others thought the same thing independently. I can't say 100% what it is, but it certainly doesn't seem as it should be in a casino management office/ private gambling setting. I wouldn't know since I haven't ever asked for a private setting, the closest I have come to that is playing in a high-limit room where security stood by and ran off hustlers while the attendant wrote down taxable jackpots and instantly keyed them off. That didn't last long(90 min or so) since someone in management realized they were getting raped on the promotion.
See, this is what probability is about. Instead of going through life in statistical LaLa Land, you evaluate things based on probability.
Do I have to give the Cliff's Notes? Well, since you asked.
Rob says an editor at GT is going to bring him back on board to write some articles. Publisher Eileen Di Rocco gets an email and responds that the editor hasn't worked for GT in three years.
Rob says he's helming a video poker panel at G2E. There is no panel. Rob says the panel was held as a private party in his suite.
Rob owns a Newell. No pics to match. He's owned this thing for years, but he has no pics of him or family members in the Newell. He's camera shy?
Rob has 700K stashed with Nersesian. LOL. Not even in pesos.
Rob was ready to meet MaxPen while lugging 700K or 100K or something. He arrives at South Point and leaves an hour and a half before the meet-up.
Rob was going to prove his 1.5 mil win to Dan Druff. At this point, and I kid you not, I was hoping he had won something he could show. Otherwise the story is sad and poignant -- not in a good way, and it's no fun. Well, the story is no fun.
What I just listed are facts. Facts that need to be mentioned when predicting Rob's behavior.
See, probability is when you tally those things up, you make probabilistic evaluations. Did Rob win a $1.5 jackpot? Would Rob have taken no good pics of his 1.5 mil win? Would he fail to show up for confirming meetings?
And, although I didn't think it at first, I believe Dan was likely right that Rob had somebody at a property ready to go to bat for him. That's why the NDA schtick. Trying to seal that person off from any leakage and consequences. I really did not think that was part of the formula, but Dan probably got it right and I was wrong.
Just sad. If I don't appreciate my limitations as I age, that could be me in 10 years.

Since I was out and about, I texted Dan and said I would like to attend the meet-up if it was still on(I couldn't find Rob's number on my newer phone), but I didn't hear back. I just assumed Dan/Todd found a $150 pokertitute and couldn't get back to me.
Alan, I think I may have figured you out.
I think since you were a reporter for a number of decades, you really have got to witness a number of unusual events (or at least report on them). I think you would agree. Many newsworthy events are unusual, unlikely occurrence. I believe since you have seen unusual, highly improbable events, daily as a News reporter for the last several decades this has skewed your
perception of reality.
A skewed perception of reality, along with the belief that “Anything is possible” as well as “Giving the benefit of the doubt” is going to put you up against situations that are many “millions to 1”.
Axel I'm sure you've seen the private gaming rooms at Certain casinos. I've been in some of the private Gaming rooms at Caesars -- the ones with a private kitchen, and a massage table, shower and private bath. They roll in roulette tables, craps tables, blackjack tables.
Yeah if someone wanted exercise equipment I'd bet they could bring that in too from the hotel's spa.
I'm not suggesting that's what happened with Singer but we know anything could happen for the right amount of money.
I dont see exercise equipment in the photo but maybe there was? WTF is the difference?
Not all of us are open and willing to be objective after sticking our fingers in a live lightbulb socket. Sometimes the retarded kids do it over and over again but still never learn their lesson. Those same types of people keep playing -EV craps thinking one day they will find a way to beat the odds.
You're right. I've seen things and experienced things many would find unbelievable. Like interviewing Presidents, walking with King Juan Carlos and Queen Elizabeth... eating a Hershey bar amid starving children in Ethiopia because my blood sugar was low (before my kidney and pancreas transplant) and being one of the first to get a pancreas transplant when it was experimental. How about getting shot at? And being held with a knife to my throat? And having a good friend confess to two murders to escape the death penalty? And having a father who was a mob lawyer and a mother who was a cover girl? How about walking thru bodies of a debris field of a Pan Am crash in Kenner, La.? How about being at the wrong table when a shooter had a million dollar hand at craps at Caesars? How about seeing a random shooter roll 18 yos in a row but think nothing of it and not even betting $1 on tge yo because it's a bad bet? How about innocently driving to my radio station at midnight to do some editing, getting stopped by a policeman and finding out someone shot at the DA... allowing me to break my first big story as a highschooler?
Yeah I've seen and done a lot.
This Singer stuff is chicken shit.
What makes you think there isnt a solid video or photo? Wouldn't it just fit Singer's style to string everybody along?
First the pictures on a computer screen.
Then a full photo with nothing chopped off?
What do you think is next?
I'm not going to jump to any conclusions.
And for you Newell fans... what if he posted the photo of the made-up contract on purpose?
Question: if you were Rob Singer would you get more satisfaction ending a thread on VCT or watching it grow and grow consuming wasted time?
I guarantee you Rob is enjoying every minute.
