These high profile "deals" are not worth it, because the tremendous lines aren't worth the time you save, unless you're really, really, really poor.
I would rather pay regular price and get it quickly.

In the 1980s, my grandmother (then around 70) used to take a free seniors bus to AC, where they'd also provide you with $20 in quarters. She was not at all a gambler. She took the $20, exchanged it for a $20 bill in one of the casinos, spent the day and the $20 relaxing on the boardwalk, and then would ride the bus back.
I guess you could call it a very low end advantage play. The goal of this bus and the quarters was to get old ladies addicted to slots, and to blow their retirement checks, but my grandma just took the $20 and spent it on non-gambling stuff, and got free day trips out of it. My grandfather died in the mid-1970s, so this was a nice little activity for her.

The Popeye's in Kalispell, Montana closed in less than a year.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
Back when he was a young teen my son and a buddy discovered a local AP that allowed them to eat well for free.
A local burger joint was introducing a fish sandwich, and to drum up interest / attention they came up with "Man Eating Fish."
Basically a table was elevated off the floor so all could see it, and whoever wanted to eat a free fish sandwich did so by eating it at the table.
That lasted for a little while... *burp*
