It is incredibly difficult to actually win a given FanDuel contest that allows unlimited entries. The single entry contests, despite much smaller prize offerings, are likely the way to go.

A case in point is my entry in the FanDuel golf contest this weekend. You pick six golfers using a salary cap. I had five golfers make the cut, which hurt, as six is almost a necessity to have a significant cash. Having said that, as of this moment, I have the top three golfers -- Schauffele, Cantlay, and Theegala. That is almost impossible to do. Yet I am sitting in just 132nd place out of roughly 16,000. Because the prize money is ridiculously top loaded, like poker tournaments, I stand to make just four times my entrance fee. I have the top three guys, and my chances of a significant cash are pretty much nil.

It frames how these fantasy contests are essentially Powerball type lotteries as long as the prize money is skewed in such a top heavy fashion.
