Based on what you assumed about the contents of those trash bags, you made disparaging remarks about the parents.

You asked for an explanation of what was going on, and I gave factual assessments and reasonable possibilities.

I find your assumption not to be fact-based, and so not as reasonable as the scenarios that I presented.

Refusing to accept any explanation beyond your own prejudice, you resorted to name-calling as a reply.

Isn't that exactly what you always complain about others doing to you?

Too often you make assertions, when you don't know what you're talking about...like you're an expert on the way things work.

    Grow the fuck up already.

I don't know the exact origins, but dating back to my time in Atlantic City, even before I moved to Vegas, on the 23rd and 24th there are a lot of Asians in the casinos. It is probably just that they know all the people that celebrate Christmas are with family at that time, so it is a good time for them to hit the casinos.

Maybe the casinos have picked up on this and offer special promotions and offers to them on these days, I don't know.

During my time in Vegas, it has always been that after the Rodeo leaves town, which is the second weekend in December (Rodeo is here for 10 days over the first 2 weekends), it is the slowest time of the year. On Dec 23 and 24th the Asians take over. Christmas day, afternoon and evening, the California crowds start arriving followed by people from the Midwest and east coast the day after Christmas and it is busy all week through New Years. You can spot the Midwest crowd because they are wearing lots of Ohio state, Wisconsin, Green Bay, Chicago Rears jackets and sweatshirts. Just some observations from my time living here.

This little conversation exemplifies the coach belly nit-picking and trolling. I don't know why any of us bother with you.

The people I mentioned very obviously were celebrating Christmas in Las Vegas with their kids and had brought along their Christmas presents for their kids. Doesn't make them horrible people or parents, but it seems like an odd choice especially with younger kids.

Take you game playing and factual this and that and shove it up your ass, you piss ant. You are one person I won't wish a happy holiday to because you are just a flat out dick!

Nope...the family traveled to Vegas to spend Christmas with the children's grandparents (LV residents), plus aunts, uncles and cousins from out of town.

They booked the weekend at Bally's because the parents had comped rooms, and the grandparents could not accommodate everyone sleeping at their retirement residence.

Santa would visit that night, and leave (unwrapped) presents for all the young cousins under the grandparents' tree.

The wrapped presents in the trash bags were gifts for the grandparents from the family, and for a Christmas Day gift exchange among all the relatives.

No fucked up Christmas like you imagined.

No odd choices, no giving up on Santa, no young kids forced to spend Christmas in a hotel while their parents gambled.

Just a wonderful Christmas celebration with their family...grandparents, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Doesn't that sound reasonable, and much better than what you thought?

    So suck it, Scrooge.

And this is what we deal with on this forum. People playing games, every minute of every day.

You are the creep that disparaged an innocent family checking into a hotel with wrapped packages on Dec 24, and insisted that they obviously were going to celebrate their Christmas at the Casino, and had given up on Santa in exchange for Christmas playing the slot machines.

    That's where your mind leads.

That, and the stereotypical perversions that you contemplate whenever you become agitated.

You are fucked up in the head.

Monet doesn't worry about other people on the elevator as all by himself he hits the maximum weight number, so no one else is even allowed on.

Happy holidays anyway, you fat bastard.

According to the latest census, more than 220,000 Asian Americans live in Las Vegas today, triple the numbers from two decades ago. In fact, Asian Americans are the fastest-growing racial or ethnic group in our region.

The Asian thing isn't too hard to figure out. No queer rationales necessary.

For a guy so all about the numbers let me throw a few at you.

This 220,000 Asian population represents 9% of the Las Vegas metropolitan area population.

The national number is about 7%. So the Asian population in Vegas is slightly higher than the national average. I suppose almost every larger city has a slightly higher number than the national average, as Asians gravitate towards cities, with most cities even having a "Chinatown" or Asian area.

So Ok, the Asian population is less that 10%, yet on Dec 23 and 24th, they make up 90% of the casino patronage. That Mr. numbers is what we are talking about.

Sure, as usual, you lock onto some fairly indisputable singular statistic, claim the math is everything, and, next, proceed directly to "Go", whichever your own latest theory.

Where are the such other numbers to support your theory, namely, that Asians intentionally congregate, that nine of ten are Asians, or, that there are any more than usual, in the casinos this time of the year? Culturally speaking, in general, don't more Asians, especially their immigrants, gamble?

Without more such input, it was enough, to discredit your theory, to point out only that there are already a fair bunch of them in Las Vegas.

I’m a frequent casino patron from the midwest and I’ve noticed that every time I go to the casino, no matter where I am in the country, there is a lot of asian people. Sometimes there is blackjack tables with only asian people. I’ve noticed it is also usually a lot of first generation immigrants, they don’t speak a lot of English. My question is why? Is gambling more popular in Asian cultures?

Are you irritated because someone assumed the elevator would be empty? Sometimes depending on the time of day, it is a good assumption. If you backed up at the sight of another person, this is your fault.

I couldn't wait to open my present, so I opened it up early on Christmas Eve around 4pm.
    Just what I wanted too!
    10 pounds of Beef!!
I put salt and pepper all over it and cooked it right up.
Added in some mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, fresh garlic bread and some roasted broccoli.
Thank you, Jesus and Happy Birthday.
mmm, mmm good... on my way to 400 pounds yet.

    You make a good point.
    Whoever blinks first loses.
I never back up and they always do.
This is a low percentage occurrence though.
I run into this problem less than 1 percent of the time, but I don't use the elevators as much as I did in the past.

In some Casinos, Children aren't even allowed to be on the Casino Property, not even to pass by to get to a Restaurant.

I do remember a little girl getting traumatized when a crazy person in a Casino bathroom begun yelling obsceneties at innocent people who were just there to use the bathroom. I am an Adult and even I was upset, let alone a little girl. One of the obsceneties was,"You live in America, speak fucking English, not your fucking foreign Country's Language!" :/ It was bad.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

Great spread - who needs restaurants if you can do it yourself.

You'll have to put it in a limerick.
Well, not to be outdone by the infamous, but reticently aroused, Mr. Finkle, I propose the following reply to his limerick that never was (by the time of this post). After all, very likely, it was for the best with literally zero room to spare.

The first one involves i's, and l's, as 1's; d's as 6's; and, p's as 9's, all along with h's as 2's, and, n's as 7's, to form the birthday July 2, 1961. The numerals as 2, and ᘔ, may be flipped, and tipped a bit, to form the corresponding letters in this case. The anagram led to a city on the other side of Kitchener about the same distance away as the one from my earlier reply. Like warming up for a good game of darts.

The second, similarly with the digits in my old phone number in Ayton, from the end of my post at https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...l=1#post152255 . With most of the s's as 5's. Furthermore, surprisingly, I had to include the only remaining other type of digit involved, from the XXXX part, which is 7, for most of the t's. The anagram led to Kitchener, itself, which, I have to say, very, very, very rarely comes up to begin with in an anagram list (from which to hone in on by adding in the digits). Even the name, Ontario, isn't overly common somewhere in such a list, but, then to have each of London, and, then, Hamilton, "pop" up. Had to switch out a bit of my own information with a bit of Mr. Finkle's in this anagram to get things to "pop" up a bit closer to home.

I had a rude elevator encounter 9 years ago at Caesars.

I had just driven from Harrah's Rincon to Vegas. I was unusually tired toward the end of the drive, but didn't think much of it.

I had just finished checking in, and was taking my stuff up to the room, via the elevator. I was really feeling awful by this point, and just wanted to get in bed. A late-20s looking, fairly pretty girl got in the elevator by herself, so it was just the two of us going up from the lobby.

She then tried to make small talk with me, which I really didn't feel like doing. She asked where I was from, I told her, and it turned out we lived about 10 miles from each other. I tried to be polite and slog through the brief conversation, despite feeling like absolute shit.

Her floor was reached before mine, so she got out first. As she got out, she scolded me, "Try lightening up and being a little more friendly, dude", and walked away.

WTF? It was like 2am. I'm not normally tired at that time because I stay up late, but that night I was because I wasn't feeling well. But obviously it's reasonable that another human being in the elevator at 2am would seem tired. I was not rude, nor did I act annoyed with the conversation. I just wasn't energetic enough for her liking. Maybe she was trying to flirt and was annoyed I was just giving brief responses in a tired-sounding voice? Why make that bitchy comment upon leaving? Really weird.

I got back in the room, and kept thinking about that weird encounter. However, all I really wanted to do was go to sleep. I usually like to drink something before bed, either a water or soda, but for some reason drinking anything seemed so unappealing. I didn't think much of it and went to bed.

Turned out I had the beginning of the worst stomach virus of my life. The next day I wasn't even able to walk, and I was vomiting any water I forced myself to drink. I was going to go to the hospital by the evening if I couldn't keep any liquid down, as this can kill you. By 7:30pm I was able to get some water down, so I didn't go. However, I was still dehydrated, fainted just as I left the bathroom (only time I fainted in my life), slammed on the ground, and broke 3 ribs. Took 11 weeks to heal.

All started with that fucking elevator.
