Thread: New Slot Machine Helps Players Avoid W2-G's

  1. #1
    The IRS won't get off the dime. Over 45 years ago they set the jackpot threshold on slots at $1200. Factoring in inflation the number should be $6000 today. It's a bipartisan issue to get the threshold raised but everyone knows how greedy the IRS is.

    Light & Wonder, formerly Scientific Games, has come up with an ingenius way to allow jackpots above the $1200 threshold while avoiding W2-G's. It's probably the wave of the future.

    Light & Wonder slots in the casinos have the Bally's and WMS logos on them.

    "More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

    Thanks Mickey. I can see it now: you hit a royal flush on dollar denom and a little virtual wheel appears on the screen and you get four wheel spins where each spin has a minimum and maximum prize of $1000 - on the pay table screen there are wheel spins rather than coin amounts for any coin amount that would have resulted in a win at or above $1200 ;-)

    Surprised no one bothered to try this before.

    Imagine if your a Ploppy and you hit “5 High Limit Spins” and see “$5,000”. Then you happen to be the one that hits the “Zero” which occurs 1 in 999.

    You then read the fine print…. “Pays on Average” lol
    How pissed would you be?

    Also, since each “free spin” cost a credit or 2, It’s possible for folks to run out of credits and are unable to spin their “High Limit Spins” off.
    Talk about the ultimate AP-able slot!

    ========

    Ploppies generally don’t think In advance about a possible W2G. I can see someone from Canada changing what machine they would play since they hold 1/3rd, but for a normal US citizen, I can’t see your average ploppy thinking ahead about a W2G win to where they divert their play to a machine with a loophole.

    Machines of this nature have been around for decades.
