These days, I now play a lot of busy times like weekends (especially holiday) that I used to avoid. Superbowl weekends is one of the biggies. I played 3 long periods this Superbowl weekend and got in a lot of play and EV.
But, while it was busy (crowded) it didn't seem as busy as other Superbowl weekend to me. Maybe it was because the Superbowl was right down the road in neighboring Arizona and the California big wigs, who might otherwise come to Vegas for Superbowl weekend, went to Phoenix instead.
One thing that I didn't do, that I have done other years is play during the Superbowl because I am a fan of one of the teams and wanted to watch the game. During the game is a very good time to play in my experiences as it isn't really that crowded, but casinos have many tables open as they know that a rush is coming immediately after the game ends, and 50% of the bettors will be trying to win their loses back.
