Are really any card counters here besides me? Phonies just like KJ and loser Richard Munchkin are both fiction writers and tell fish stories. I feel like the Maytag Man without successful players to relate to

Jstat the card counter: Dude you were a mailman until you retired.
I have no problem if you want to jump on the anti-KJ bandwagon. Doesn't change anything about me or you and reality.

Wow, just ... nothing.
A dud when it comes to proving I am "a known and serial liar."
And "cowardice?"
Bwa ha ha ha, 'twould have been "stupidity" to accept an invitation to meet you: no doubt you'd try to tie my shoe laces together and put a "Kick me" sign on my back.
No thanks, I prefer to get my daily dose of "crazy" by watching the news / social media, not first hand in Pacific City.
I don't claim a lot about myself, other than that I am married, I have a son, I was a lawyer for 40 years until I retired, I'm an audiophile, a Volvo lover and competent shade tree mechanic, a pot smoker and I enjoy gambling.
Oh yeah, I work out six days a week, collect Dinky Toys and have a summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH.
OK, your turn...will the REAL Robert Argentino please stand up...
What, Me Worry?

Umm, that Arnold was a mailman, sounds somewhat familiar, so I might have heard that. No offense, but it doesn't impress me. Are you a fan of Arnold or did he have a big influence on you?
Just by circumstance, I didn't read much of Arnold's books and work until after I had read some other things and by that time, all those books had the same basic information, which was more about the games from the 80's. People like Wong and Schlesinger who I read early on, long before I got around to Arnold had a much bigger influence on me. But again, that just happens to be the order that I read and learned. If I had come across Arnold earlier, he probably would have had a bigger influence because he had some unique and outside the box ideas like opposition wagering.
But I don't think he did himself any favors by being as "flamboyant" as he was with all that "bishop" stuff. At the time he was playing the strategy for longevity would have been to try to fly under the radar. He did the opposite, as did Kenny Uston.
Now again, I don't care what you say or think about me. I sort of like that so many people don't believe me, or at least claim they don't. That would be good for my career, if it hadn't been events of the last 18 months, doxing and someone providing info to the casinos or database (casino I presume). It does crack me up that some of these guys that have been able to look into me, so they know, still are in denial.
You know, I have a business relationship and I consider a friend in/with one of the top AP's here in Vegas. I work on some plays with him and his team some over the last couple years, as I have diversified a bit. I think most Vegas based APs, and I assume even non-Vegas APs are aware of that by now and have confirmed that, which is why no real APs or very few every doubt anything about me. But feel free to doubt all you want.
More than what you say or think about me, your comments about Munchkin are just not right. I don't know if you have some kind of bone to pick with Munchkin or something, but he is a top AP, and plays with the same top AP that I sometimes work with on all sorts of things besides card counting. You making the comments you made, just diminishes any credibility you may have had, in my opinion.
I really don't have a problem with you Jstat, other than you have pushed a narrative about hi-lo that just is not true for decades now. I don't doubt that you were/are a somewhat successful recreational, or part-time card counter. But that is far different than playing for a living, and playing the stakes necessary to make even a modest living and devising a plan that allows you to be able to keep being welcome to play. These are just things a recreational player just can't know about.
But happy trails to you. Seriously, whatever your agenda is...have fun. But just don't expect me to stay silent if you continue to say things like hi-lo is a hoax.

Interesting MrV. Do you sometimes see Bob Wiley and Dr Leo Marvin when you visit Lake Winnipesaukee?
As for the real Robert Argentino, anyone interested can look him up for themselves. There is a lot of information available, and none of it matches anything Rob Singer claims. I have come to the conclusion that Rob Singer, just like Mdawg is a character, like in a book or movie and all the claims fictional. And that is very different than some real players here, that share real experiences but use a screen name or handle for anonymity.
You missed Bishop Arnold Snyder of the First Church of Blackjack playing the part of preacher. I talked to Arnold for years on the phone. He answered my questions and our conversations were pleasurable. He published my articles in Blackjack Forum. Snyder was part of the player I am today. For your pleasure, here’s a Bishop Snyder sermon

Then unmask yourself and prove anything that you claim to be. I see you as an envious liar with a sick wife and who makes up claims of going to "Chinook Winds"....as if that's any kind of enviable claim.
Audiophile? My speakers cost more than your Volvo. And the fact that you weren't familiar with my turntable tells me this audiophile claim is just another lie in your arsenal. BTW, anyone who "works out" never takes a standard day off each week. I expect you're simply trying to build your phony resume' here, for whatever reason. And I see why you have this thing about my having been in MI.
Wise up.
I don't recall dissing your Thorens 'table; no, I only disrespected your choice of speakers: Bose 901's.
see prior discussion: https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...peakers+singer
I appreciate that you are savvy and discerning enough to use separate components for home hi-fi, but your choice of gear is most assuredly NOT "high end:" it is mid-fi.
Nothing wrong with mid-fi, unless you're trying to claim it's high end.
Most of my gear IS high end.
Currently, the "main" stereo in the dedicated listening room (I have four separate music systems in different areas of the home, plus a home theater) consists of:
Ayre V3 amplifier
Audo Research LS-2 preamp
Denon TU-900 tuner
Cambridge Audio CXC CD transport, into a Denafrips Ares II DAC
Aerial 10T speakers
All connected with appropriate audiophile cabling.
This system would not just embarrass your mid-fi dreck, it would destroy your belief that you've got a good sounding system.
My bedroom system consists of:
Rega Planar 2 turntable with Sumiko blue point cartridge
Cambridge Audio phono preamp
Vincent SA-31 line level preamp
Bryston BCD-1 CD player
Conrad Johnson M-200 mosfet amplifier
Chapman T7 speakers.
The Chapmans are cool: built by a guy on Vashon island near Seattle; I bought them pre Y2K; last year I paid him $3500.00 to upgrade to current production standards, which involved replacing all three speaker drivers and the crossover using the best parts currently available.
Both systems sound sublime.
I could describe / tell you about the home theater and the other two stereo systems but that would be pointless as you are happy with what you have and are not open to new learning.
Oh, as for the six days a week: the Health and Fitness center is closed on Sunday.
I'll finish with this, a link to what I am listening to these days...

What, Me Worry?
In our bedroom I have a Vizio 5.1 Dolby home theater sound bar, wireless base, left/right speakers that, is that any good? My Wife got it for me, I just hooked it up and wet with it, it sounds super good to me.
I attached to the bottom of the bed on a tilting 360 swivel-mounted 60" in my bedroom. I have a 24" monitor attached to the top of the 60" I made the mount myself. It's all hooked up to a hidden remote 4 port KVM switch and share my mouse with 2 hidden laptops, 2 mini computers in a fanned air-ported leather storage ottoman.
Well, at least you are consistent. Consistently looking down on card counters, just like you know who does. I think every time I talk to him he starts with "are you still counting cards?"
I have stopped sharing how I am doing on these forums but, this first quarter of the year is going to be the second best quarter I have had in my 20 years. Way above expectation and 75% strictly card counting. So for me it is not a waste of time.
While a really good quarter, nowhere near my best where I went from down 35k to up 85k in a 5 week period about 8 years ago. That was just a crazy run. This is nowhere near that, unfortunately, but still worth it and not a waste of time, to me.
Also JBJB, I think there is a guy posting over at WoV, that is in the fifth day of a new trip and is up 20-30k card counting, playing the double deck in the high limit room of the sweatiest casino on the strip. He seems pretty credible to me.....So there is THAT.
Well that is your opinion. He seems mighty credible to me. He claims the pit doesn't mind that he is counting or bother him. Just pats him on the back. That seems like how it would work at the sweatiest game, double deck at the sweatiest place on the strip.
Let's just hope he doesn't pick up any prostitutes on this trip that drug him and steal his watch.
