Thread: Sports Betting 101 Trip

  1. #1
Returned from six days in LV, which were spent escorting James Dennison, assistant director of the movie The Art Thief, around Las Vegas in an attempt to give him some idea of what sports betting and sports books entail. Dennison is scheduled to take over the helm of the IHeartRadio project, The Gangster Chronicles (originally called Mob Stories), in mid-2024. We spent four days at The GN and our final two days at the Tuscany.

The VSIN COO, Bill Adee, gave us a much-appreciated tour of Circa and the VSIN broadcasting booth. We had lunch with a rather famous AP, which led to a sharing of stories and experiences regarding offshore books, Billy Walters, and comparisons of the price occasionally paid for doing business in the realm of sports betting. And yes -- a very brief EV discussion. We did not get out to South Point for a handshake with Mr. Vaccaro, arguably the foremost bookmaker's bookmaker, which was a disappointment, but I'll try to schedule that another time.

We only managed about half of what had been tentatively scheduled, but some of that had to with Dennison spending about 12 hours in the Mob Museum his first full day downtown. He literally reviewed each word of each exhibit. Also at the Mob Museum, he met a woman who was Sharon Tate's body double in some films back in the day, so that was an interesting sidetrack.

All in all, an entertaining and educational trip, but I do wish we had covered more ground. Time flies. Had a couple of fantastic steaks at Vic and Anthony's, visited Esther's Kitchen for a nice lunch, and enjoyed Claimjumpers also. I just wish we had had more time.

There should be a chapter on the Rat mindset, and how it destroyed the mob. Perhaps he could interview someone like yourself to get a better understanding of how a rat thinks.

Real people doing real things. What a concept, especially to those folks who somehow don't know that prostitution in LV is illegal.

I'm still waiting for the links to view stories from all the filmmakers following Red around. When can we expect a completed production?

LOL. Same filmmaker, Max. If you want his email, just pass along yours, and I'll put the two of you together. Not a problem.

Dudes making up unverifiable claims on the internet that didn't really happen.
    What a concept.

No one here cares about you schlepping around LV with some third tier wannabe influencer.

And lol the insufferable name dropping. Epic. Always the sign of a real winner.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

As opposed, of course, to someone who can't even attach their own name to an internet post. And I haven't done much name dropping. The AP went unnamed, for example.

You notice who's been quiet? Mickey.

I find it very hard to believe that if I was to start posting under my real name that you would infact cough up the 1k like offered. I'd lay some long odds that you wouldn't.

Nothing you've done on this board would ever suggest you would do it.

    Tell me why I'm wrong.

Honestly bro, who wants to publicly admit that they post on this forum? Many of us have legitimate pride in addition to shame. You seem to be lacking in the shame department.

Seed, you've been hyping the "in due time" schtick with kewlJ for years, and you demonstrated zero. I was kind of hoping you'd post some actual facts so I could stop flickering back and forth as to kewlJ's legitimacy. But here we are, many moons later, and you have shown zilch.

Let me guess -- I run a boilerplate operation in my mother's basement, I have seven arrests for prostitution, six arrests for peddling garlic powder as coke, and three for truancy.

For God's sakes, don't expose me.

All I get is access denied on those pics, ditz. You need to learn how to post pics.

Red, if contests are your big thing - which is okay, as far as it goes - then you should be caught on camera interviewing the guys who actually win those things. Ha.
    Upping my game. Ha.

Gambling will addict some of the people, some of the time, but, deludes all of the people, all of the time.
---> O, tell me the, tell me the list of "doped up" people out of left field who claimed to be a gambling messiah.

No matter where you go, there you are!
---> O! Gee, turn the other way. You are more.
